I have created a tool/launcher for minecraft servers. what it basicly does is helps you set up the server, and generates the server.properties and batch file to run the minecraft server. Everything is controlled by a comfortable and clear GUI. So if you want to setup an server to play with friends, you will find all help here. It even covers port fowarding! Its a really convinient tool, trust me. Here are some screenshots:
There is not much more you need to know!
And did i mention that this program is open source?
You can check out the code, report bugs and contribute on GitHub.

I have a bug, when I click "Launch!" it opens Command Prompt with this code: java -Xmx1024M -Xms256M -jar minecraft_server.jar and it says: Error: Unable to access jarfile minecraft_server.jar. Also after that it than there is code: pause. I hope you can figure this out.
EDIT: I think you can fix it by entering instead of java -Xmx1024M -Xms256M -jar minecraft_server.jar write: java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui.
This is not a bug. Make sure that you have selected the correct server folder, and that the name of the server jar match up with the name in the program under standard settings. Example: if you have a folder on your desktop called "server", the path should be C:\users\(your user name)\desktop\server. Then if you have the server jar in that folder named " mc_server" you need to go to the app and change the jar name to that. The code is automaticly generated and the pause is so the colsole window doesnt close after issuing the stop command, and the nogui just removes the visible server gui. You can toggle the nogui option fromthe advanced settings. And sorry about the horrible grammar, im on an phone. Hope i helped!
EDIT: But it now stops the server when it starts it.
EDIT: It says **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT so I think I know why, but I don't know what to write in IP section on the site where I need to port forward.
I would suggest having the text box where you ask for the jar file be made read only and have a browse button that opens a FileOpen dialog allowing them to find and select their jar file. This will give both you the file name that you need AND its path removing 2 points of human error. In my experience on the forms (especially the server support forum) people commonly use the wrong jar name even when given clear instructions on where to find it.

its not about the ip textbox. press the port forwarding tab and you will get all the help needed.

that is a good idea. will probably remove the server folder path and replace it with the jar path. will be alot of work. will be in the next update.

I have selected correct server folder, it's not because of that.
then as i said, it will be the server jar file name. either rename the file to "minecraft_server" or change the name of the jar in the program.
