This filter will take everything in the box you select within MCedit and convert it to one command (if physically possible) which when run in game will unpack the structure into the world.
No messing around simply select, open the filter, click filter and it will generate you the command which will then unpack the structure exactly as it was before.
Note this filter was previously known as the One Command Structure Spawner I just decided to do a re-branding.
If you are going to use a command generated by this filter in a video please put the following in the description and don't modify the tellraw commands put in by the filter. This was put in because some people were using the filter and seemingly passing off the command as their own work
Credit to gentlegiantJGC and Xafonyz for making the MCedit filter that made the command
This and all my other filters have been moved to github. I do not personally intend to maintain it any more but if someone would like to update it they can make the changes to the github version to maintain it
V4 Now avaliable that works with the 1.9 stacking format. It also includes a 1.8 option for backwards compatability
When I say it will include everything that you select I mean it.
Here is the list of everything that it can do
Blocks
Entities
Tile Entities (Contents of chests, dispensers, command blocks ... )
1.9 support (now supports the 1.9 stacking format)
Fill clocks will be set off running
Fill commands are used to compact the command (V2 just used setblock)
Commands can be added to run before and/or after the structure. (Can be used for shoutouts, scoreboards, gamerules (turning off command output) and a whole lot more)
As of V4 you no longer have to mess around with editing the filter to do this. Make a text document with a command on each line, select pre-commands and/or post-commands then select the text document and the filter will do the rest.
The commands can either be in normal form for the less pythony people out there or using the python format if you wish to use varaibles defined in the filter or feel like being clever
If there are tags in an entity that have their default value they will be removed to compact the command further
tags can be removed at the users wish if they are not used (second tab)
The command should clean up after itself once it is run leaving only the command block left
Hopefully I will at some point get around to making a video on all the features but the filter should be intuitive enough to just pick up and use

0a) Be sure to save a backup of your world before using MCEdit.
0b) Make sure you are close in the world save to whatever it is you want to filter, unless you don't mind navigating inside MCEdit.
1a) Download filter above.
1b) Download and install MCEdit, if you haven't already.
2) If you have a 'Filters' folder two levels above the MCedit.exe put the filter in there. If not put it in the 'mcedit \ stock-filters' folder.
3) Find the target/source world (if it's already in your saves, this step can be skipped).
4a) Launch MCEdit. If your world is in the MC saves folder, it will default to the "OPEN" option.
4b) If not, browse to the location and OPEN world (saves\New World\level.dat).
5) Navigate to the object you wish to filter (if necessary).
6) Single Click first block, and move mouse (without holding down button) to end location for filter.
7) If step 6) is difficult, just approximate/estimate it; the selection will remain floating, and you can pull or push each side until it fits.
8) At the bottom of the screen there is a coffee filter symbol. Click that. (attachment in oopid's post 4 posts down if you can't find it)
9a) In the menu that pops up there will be a button in the top left after "Filter:" that will be either the last filter you used or the first filter in the list.
9b) Click that button (this is where you see if it installed correctly).
9c) A Drop-down list should appear, and "Selection to Command 4.0" should be an option. (note the list should be in alphabetical order) Select it.
10) The options are up to you, but you should now be able to simply hit the big yellow "Filter" button (from the menu mentioned in step 8)/9a).
11a) You're not done yet! Wait for the screen to flash and say 1 unsaved change. (if you have the command window up (the black box) it will output it's progress so you know it is still working and has not crashed)
11b) Save (ctrl+s).
11c) Still not done! Don't close MCEdit! A Command Block (or multiple) should appear at top right corner of screen with "Delete" and "Save".
11d) Save if you want (optional), but BE SURE TO CLICK THE COMMAND BLOCK PICTURE!
12a) Now your cursor should turn into a command block (or multiple) to be placed. Place them where you want them to go.
12b) STILL NOT DONE! Press Enter to Confirm block placement, then Save again.
13) Congratulations! If everything went correctly, you should now have command blocks in your world that will generate your filtered structure!
(optional)
14) Load up your world and test the command block. Good luck!
15) You can also copy the code inside the Command Block(s), and then use that CB in any other world you have access to CBs! Amazing!
Thanks. I understand what you are saying. The main issue is putting that into code that runs somewhat quickly. I am currently working on a method to compact the selection further potentially after that I will look into that. You can do it manually by putting the commands into the bonus commands but I understand that that is long

Wow! Great job on this filter. My first attempt to use this, actually produced 3 CBs; none of them actually worked. I may have done something wrong, the build uses sand stacks. The second CB actually crashes the game. Note: the project is a pixel art I created, so it's only 1 block thick, about 104x84x1. In the case of multiple CBs being generated, do you have to use some sort of redstone system to get them to work? I just put buttons on them and pressed them, which works, if the project only produces one CB.

I have not done enough testing to say for definite but I have found in the couple of runs I did do where the command overflows into multiple command blocks that is has a habit of chopping off the end of the command so that could potentially be your issue from what you said at the start. I will look into it at some point.
As for the tutorial. Step 2 you should really be putting your filters in the base 'Filters' folder which should be in the folder above the MCedit filter the exe is in. Granted that may differ depending on the operating system. I don't know.
If you are alright with it I will find some way to put the tutorial in the description

Yeah that's my fault for attempting something so big. I got it to work when I split my art into 4 pieces. I am using the 64 bit version of mcedit, and I didn't see a filters folder, just the stock-filters Folder. I was a bit worried about me not putting steps for all operating systems/versions of MCEdit, but I figure most people know their own OS fairly well.
Go for it! I love this filter, I can't say enough, it is EXACTLY what I needed; a way to copy creations from one world to another in a totally 'vanilla' way.
If you want to use my tuturial in any way you are free to do so, if you have to edit some steps that is fine. I only posted it to try to be of some help to someone, since I am not the smartest at it either, and since I got it to work thought I'd share. Thanks for considering it! You guys are doing an excellent job.

Lovin' this filter. Has it been updated to the newest 1.9 snapshot where they removed the Riding tag and replaced it with the Passengers tag? If not, here's the syntax if you need it.
I would like to see this updated too! We can do fun new things with command blocks and this looks like the best way to get a one block command block set.
I know you're probably not gonna see this, but, I'm using the 15w46a snapshot, and when I try to use the command block generated by the filter, it just summons a redstone block ontop of the command block and does nothing else.
The latest snapshot changed the riding tags. I've been asking around to see if it can be fixed with a simple find/replace, or if the arrangement of the syntax has also been changed.

I found a fix for it. It does involve using a thing made by someone else, but I confirm it works.
Go to bimbimma.com/summonconverter/ and paste the command generated by the filter here
Then copy the output from the page and use that instead of the filter's command.
It's a temporary workaround I guess.
Thanks for that. Hopefully I will find some time at some point to fix it but I have been very busy lately

The summon converter messed up some of my commands, such a /tp commands and dropchances.
Command doesn't work in 1.9 because of the "riding" tags! 1.9 uses "passenger" tags! Is there a 1.9 download?
