There are few things in life that are worth trying. One of them is playing Minecraft, one is squeezing lemons(for the in-ter-net,of course),and...wait,I said playing Minecraft already, right?Oh.Well then, one is eating a rock...no?Growing up under a rock...?
Trying to install Mcreator MCreator 1.3.5 [1.6.2]P
System: Windows 7 sp1 x64
I have done this:
1. Created: C:/Pylo/MCreator/ and copied the files from zip here.
2, Installed: jre-7u51-windows-i586
3. Installed Minecraft and started it in 1.6.2
4. Installed: jdk-7u51-windows-i586
This is my path: %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_51\bin
Running "javac -version" gives me this:
java version "1.7.0_51"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_51-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode, sharing)
Staring Mcreator it fails on "Testing decompiled files"
From a quick screen shot i could see that the last thing to happen in the CMD window before failing was this: (File "urllib2.pyc", line 406, in open)
3. append C:/Pylo/MCreator/jdk/bin;C:/Pylo/MCreator/jdk/jre/bin; to the end of PATH variable.
- This is not where Java is located, some clearification on this would be nice.
4. Check folder C:/Pylo/MCreator/mcp/lib
- I created the folders and downloaded the 3 files into it.
When i started Mcreator again the files and folders are deleted.
I have tried to copy the files to the existing "lib" folder under Mcreator but that doesnt help.
Any help is much appreciated.
Is there any logfile for more information to look for clues ?
Best regards
Michael
Note: Im not intersted in 1.6.4 or other versions, so please do not suggest i should uppgrade. What i understand is that i need a corresponding Mcreator version for the MC version, right ?!
everytime I test the decompilied or whatever ther heck it is it always says failed!! I have done everything on the help page and nothing freaking works!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to thank you for this great program. My imagination far exceeds my java and modding knowledge so this program is just perfect for me. I have had no issues with your 1.4.3 alpha release for 1.7.2.
this happens when i try to test or compile my mod..

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever had problems with malware or spyware that was contracted from this software? I'm just wanting to make sure it's completely and totally safe before I download it.
We are glad to announce the biggest update in the history. MCreator 1.4.4. A lot of stuff was added. It's hard to list everything here so if you want to see it all, click read more. MCreator now 100% supports Minecraft 1.7.2, code editor was improved, we have introduced brand new design of the main interface, Dropbox sync was added, all mods are now SMP compatible and a lof of other great stuff was added or improved.
If you downloaded MCreator 1.4.4 before we posted this article, you should remove it, redownload and reinstall it because there was a bug with textures that just had to be fixed.
Well, everything seems ok but the code editor is too slow.
Recompiling is very very slow. (Over 5-10 minutes!!!)
It makes it a big trouble to edit my code.
Is like this to everyone or its only mine?
I have tested in 2 computers.

Sorry, I just dislike installers because most of them install viruses internet toolbars, spyware, etc. I'm not saying you would do that, but if there was a non installer version I would really appreciate that.

Hi. I like to use your mod creator, but now that it uses an installer it makes me... Well. Let's just say I dislike Installers for programs. Is there a version that just comes as a ZIP file I could have instead of using a installer?

It then points me to this page where i have done everything what i can see.

But these two points puzzles me:
3. append C:/Pylo/MCreator/jdk/bin;C:/Pylo/MCreator/jdk/jre/bin; to the end of PATH variable.

How do I make a Block Mod?
How do you make stairs?
The latest version supports those 3 only.

I look forward to your full release for 1.7.2.
Well yes but sometimes people don't have the time to learn java or a programming language.
