Minecraft Console Client is compatible with Windows 8...
The app seems to have crashed during handshake, but I never had this issue and haven't touched handshake process since 1.3.1
Is that a modded server ? Offline mode ?
It may be caused either by the server, username or online/offline mode.

its online mode with bukkit thats it , i don't see any reason why it would not work with bukkit , since 90%[Made up] of minecraft servers run bukkit who would run a vanilla, at any rate i suppose thats the problem its running bukkit? is it possible to get a working version for bukkit?
ps what did you mean by my username its correct , no special characters. and thank you for this program.
Bukkit is also supported as this client uses the vanilla protocol... That's why I don't understand how or why the app crashed while attempting to connect to your server ... if I can't reproduce your issue I won't be able to fix it
(If you were using Offline mode, I was asking if you were using a special username as a really long username might crash the app... I never tried to do so, though)

Can you make it compatible with Forge Mod Loader?
And maybe be a good idea to use a configuration files - it's more flexible than command-line args.
Command-line args are actually more flexible than config files since you can make several batch files to load the app with different settings! Just write the command with notepad and save it as a .bat file. Example:
@echo off
title My AntiAFK Console Client
MinecraftClient.exe ORelio "" myserver.website.fr bot:antiafk
Then click on the .bat file to launch the client whith the defined settings
Forge Mod Loader use non-standard protocol which is not documented on wiki.vg so I can't implement it like that, sorry ^^"
@echo off
set OPTIONS=MinecraftClient.exe bearbear12345 abc123 123.456.789
FOR /F "tokens=*" %%i in (commandlist.cfg) do %OPTIONS% "%%i"
To write the list of commands, simply create a text file, and add in each command, line after another.
EG: Download[Direct]
/say Hi
/say This is a test script by bearbear12345
/list
/ping
ALTHOUGH, there is a problem in this, since the bot will have to leave and join again, you will probably have something like this happening:
(Bot's username is TestBot)
TestBot joined the game.
TestBot: Hi
TestBot left the game.
TestBot joined the game.
TestBot: This is a test script by bearbear12345
TestBot left the game.
TestBot joined the game.
Current Players Online 7/40:
Player1, Player2, Player3, Player4, Player5, Player6, TestBot
TestBot left the game.
TestBot joined the game.
Pong!
TestBot left the game.
As you see, that look VERY unprofessional.

Implement some sort of command sequence, and possibly have the program run like: "MinecraftClient.exe bearbear13245 abc123 123.456.789 "/say Hi" & "/say This is a test script by bearbear12345" & etc..."
Just be careful, if you do what I have suggested, that you do NOT make the and-command&&, as it is used by Windows to operate another command

@bearbear Good idea, I'll try to make a bot that sends commands with arg like bot:scripting:myfile.txt
NB: My username is ORelio not OReilo
@bSun I understand that a config file is more flexible than args, but since MCC was really simple at the beginning, using command-line args was more relevant. I may add the ability of passing settings in a config file instead of arguments in a future version. If so, I'll use something similar to INI files syntax.
Ahh I see, well I have a school teacher called Mr Reily, (Of course his first name isn't Mr) so that probably made me do that.
Or the iPad auto corrected it xD
Suggestion ORelio... I can run several MC clients with this without maxing out CPU and it would be nice to add a bot command... Like I use my main account to do commands, I can do $stop:<playername> so it ends <playername> and the others are still running.
Or, by using /msg, /tell. /t, /m... I do /t <playername> exit and it shutdowns <playername> (This command ONLY work with your client) because I can play with it for my own purposes XD and /t <playername> quit and this client will disconnect from the server and it will reask for another server IP.
PS: I see you're from France, I could say it in french instead XD, I'm a french canadian
Don't worry, it's safe, I use it, many people do to. And anyway, the sourcecode is released, if you must, go through the sourcecode, and recompile it youself.

Nice idea, and not too difficult to do as this system is already implemented for "hangman game" bot (/tell <botname> start). I'll add a bot that quits the server on specific /tell messages
can you do something to bypass automatic kicks for missing mods i was trying to use this to get my character out of as CTD on login situation by just going to spawn but it kicks me for not having forge before i can even send the command

ah okay. ill keep testing it.2

But you can make several different config files and run the client only with 1 argument - config name\path.
Like this:
#: MinecraftClient.exe server.conf
and server.conf can have same urls (for custom auth), many of different args for bots, list of commands to run after login to server, etc..
Well If you are using a batch script, simply set a variable to the options necessary and call the client with MinecraftClient.exe %Settings%
For example:
Download [Direct]
Or to make it even simpler:
Download [Direct]
In your case, you want it to run a list of commands:
Download [Direct]
Simplified:
Download [Direct]
To write the list of commands, simply create a text file, and add in each command, line after another.
EG:
Download [Direct]

You are free to scan it by yourself or compile it from the source code.
Forge protocol is not as well documented as Vanilla protocol...
That's ok, keep up the good workWait what programming language is this in?
@bearbear12345: Minecraft Console Client is written in C#.
