doesn't explain why EE works though when only installed to the instance
[educated guess]
I assume mods like AudioMod looks for .minecraft/resource instead of /resource. Other launchers makes a .minecraft, that's why AudioMod would work. MultiMC just make a "minecraft" folder. So I guess since audiomod can't find the the ".minecraft" folder, goes back to look in the default setup which is roaming/.minecraft.[/educated guess]

If it worked that way, audio mod wouldn't work on OS X since minecraft doesn't have a . on OS X.

I only recently noticed the problem with some installs yesterday when installing BTW as a test but I got it working, just like I got your build working.
first off put in Modloader, Forge (I used 3.0.1.79) & player API into the Minecraft.jar tab. thats the easy part
ExtraBiomesXL:
open zip and extract the 'jar Files' folder to the desktop. then enter said folder and zip all the contents (must zip contents not folder)
name Zip something appropriate (aka. ExtraBiomesXL.zip) and put it in the tab aswell
CJB:
open jar and pull out the 'Put in minecraft.jar - FORGE - FOR XRAY ONLY' folder. Zip the contents (again zip contents not folder) and name appropriately (Xray.zip), add to tab
open 'Put in Minecraft Folder', drag the 'resources' folder into the 'resources' tab and drop (drop it on the actual word resources)
open mods folder and add all zips to the mods tab.
I have tested this and got it working first time, no errors
Aye, this is how I had been doing it. The crash is not from pre-launch, but post launch, 15 to 30 minutes in to playing minecraft with the mods working properly.
I actually have 2 similar crash logs, I only chose to post the newest.
Just a note for those having trouble on Win7 x64, MultiMC detects the 32 bit version of Java not the 64 bit version. You need to edit th3e path to point to the proper one, assuming you have a 64 bit version installed.
On a similar auto-detection problem, any reason why it detects from the C drive when my default install drive is D? Not a common problem I am guessing, but still worth noting.
Having a problem trying to run MultiMC 3.0 on Ubuntu 11.10.
I've got Mono 2.10.5, since it's a core package of Ubuntu, however Mono's site advised against updating mono:
Mono is considered a "core framework" in Ubuntu, meaning it has many applications depending upon it (roughly 40 applications). Due to this, the chance of one of those applications breaking due to unexpected changes in their underlying framework is considered too high to risk an update.
As a result, Mono cannot officially be backported in Ubuntu.
So I can't update to 2.10.8 until Ubuntu 12.04 comes out at the end of the month.
I tried running it with my current version of mono and got:
Cannot open assembly 'MultiMC': File does not contain a valid CIL image.
Am I just boned until Precise comes out, or am I doing it wrong or what?
Hi! I downloaded MultiMC, I have Net 4 installed, just installed the GDK # and rebooted my computer, ran MultiMC and it crashed on the onset. This is Win 7 64 bit.

It's a problem with base mods and "branch" mods. Not audiomod.
Edit:
Seam some mods audo work but not all weird.
Okay good let hoop its easy fix yes
seaam it want the sound file from C:\Users\XXuser\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resources
as sound is all thoe resources files are there than sound works..
