I completely prefer MultiMC's functionality and interface over MagicLauncher, Even seems to make MC run faster (better FPS) But there is times that Magic will allow me to run mods that Multi won't or at least have not figured out how to? Anyone know the best place to get an answer to these issues?
I've read a number of other posts with the same basic issue i'm having but none of the solutions fix the issue.
When we use multiMC to launch minecraft, we get major frame lag. The java.exe pulls 75-95% of the CPU and almost 4 gigs of RAM and it still only churns out about 35 FPS. (my wife is getting 10 FPS on her Laptop) My multiMC has upto 8 Gigs to pull from in the settings and I even renamed the MultiMC.exe to minecraft.exe as one person suggested but Nada. When I run the mojang minecraft.exe llauncher in my .minecraft directory I get almost 200 FPS most of the time and about 80 in busy areas but i'm lucky to see 40 when running MultiMC.I'm using the latest Java, the latest video drivers etc. but even when I start a naked vanilla instance of MC with no mods, I top out at 60 fps.
How do iget MultiMC to hand-off like minecraft.exe ? Do I have to write batch files to run the JARs manually?

A small request could you add the ability to make it so the fancy view has the ability to see what instances are grouped together and the ability to hide them (pretty much what the simple view does just add that to fancy view.)
XD Your signature says "Your ip is BLOCKED! Your ISP is BLOCKED! You are running Windows and using Chrome!"
Go away, troll. My signature is different for everyone that sees it. It's there to point out how easy it is to find out a lot of stuff from an embedded image like your IP, and what browser you're using.
Hey Fork, love the program. Any chance of getting a mod pack type feature? Basically my friends are retarded and can't even install their own mods. So what I have been doing is zipping up an instance file & sending it to them. But what would be really cool is the ability to just choose my instance & make a modpack zip to send them without all the extra files needing to be removed. Or even better a list of mods with 1 click install. Ya I know I ask a lot. LOL But I love the program. Just some ideas. Thanks for the great work.
I'm having trouble using the import/export config it keeps think some folders are mods and I can't figure out how to fix it. some things like REI mini map I could just leave it out and leave it up to the person if they want it but some of the others like the weapon mod need the folders.
Any chance of getting an option to automatically delete META-INF from the minecraft.jar? This is required for installing some mods, and it would be great if it could be done behind the scenes.
Hey, I have a suggestion for a feature you should add. It would be great if the launcher remembered the position each certain client was at on your screen :). Love this tool, keeps my files all nice and organized :D.
It used to be up to date with games, lol. But I still think it should be alright for Minecraft, right?
Actually, your comp is pretty damn good. 3GB of RAM and a 3.01 Ghz processor? You should do fine on the minimum requirements. Try using render distance normal, setting all the detail settings to fast, sky off, void fog off, and these animations off: void particles, portal particles, water particles, rain splash. Also, set chunk loading to default or smooth, use smooth fps and smooth world, lazy chunk loading and turn off snooper.

I've just decided to give this launcher a try, but I'm having a serious problem when connecting to my server.
All of my mods are identical on client<>server, this configuration works properly on a Custom Pack using the Technic launcher(which I'd like to stop using in favor of this) and by manually building my client setup. It's not working using MultiMC (build 69 off Jenkins).

I get this showing up in the MultiMC console when I try to connect to my server, and all I see in the client is a "Done" button...
How is it I'm winding up with ID conflicts only when using MultiMC? As I stated previously, the server is fine as is other launchers/manual build methods.
Why is multimc so bad at updating an instance of minecraft? Every update release I am forced to create a new instance because I get flooded with errors from the MultiMC console.
When we use multiMC to launch minecraft, we get major frame lag. The java.exe pulls 75-95% of the CPU and almost 4 gigs of RAM and it still only churns out about 35 FPS. Try the same thing as above, once enough mods were added to a custom server I frequent minecraft would simply die until I upped that MaxPermSize.
Edit: Found out you can do Alt/Option button + command + escape and it brings up a force quit menu

Still no fix for me? It also always says your update servers are down.

HELP?!
Any chance of getting an option to automatically delete META-INF from the minecraft.jar? This is required for installing some mods, and it would be great if it could be done behind the scenes.
Though for some reason it makes me lag like crazy, when I wasn't before. Even with the same mods. o_o
Is there a way to reduce the lag at all? I already have Optifine.
My PC specs if it helps:
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 GHZ
Ram: 3.00 GB of Ram
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT
It used to be up to date with games, lol. But I still think it should be alright for Minecraft, right?
