There is no assets/virtual folder in my Minecraft folder. Assets only has two folders, indexes and objects.
.....never mind, had to update to 1.7.3 then run the launcher again to run 1.7.2 and now that folder is there.
mine won't load here's the crash report:

Not for me, did you update to the latest snapshot with the regular launcher? After I did that, my ML game does not have sound as well. Before I did the update, sounds worked fine in my ML game. Probably something changed with the libraries again, and ML needs to be updated to use them or something.
It started to update but I got tired of waiting. This morning I lost my sound. Wish I'd have made a backup.

Apparently the fix posted above works, I haven't tried it yet, but I will when I get home in a few hours.
Either way, looks like ML needs another update to account for this though.
@ DB;
I tried the fix and it didn't work initially. I reread it and did as my edit below says and Magic now has sound. I'll confess I have not tried 1.7.2 again.
There is very little reason too, until somethings get updated IMO.

OMG, Thank you! IT WORKED
Worked! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
You need to explain a little better what you're trying to do, and what errors you are getting. If you have forge installed, etc....
