Can someone help me? I'm using Magic Launcher and the right version of Forge for DZhark's Mo' Creatures Mod for Minecraft 1.4.6, and I get black screen. And when I take off Mo' Creatures it works fine. Help, please?

Mo' Creatures requires GUI API and Custom Mob Spawner last time I checked, and it goes in the "mods" folder, not the jar.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
Second, I have a feature suggestion: You know how mods are automagically detected in the mods folder? How about adding a folder to the .minecraft directory called "jarmods" or something, and anything in there is auto-detected and added to the internal mods area, but can still be disabled?

I have a major problem. I download a mod, in this case OptiFine. I put the folder in the mods folder in the .minecraft folder. Then I open up Magic Launcher, hit setup, hit add, then I find the file. When I hit open, it opens the folder but doesn't add the mod to the Mods list in Magic Launcher. So I tried typing the name in manually and that didn't work. I have also tried other mods. I can't get it to work. Can someone help?? I really want this to work.
Here is where I found it, it is in the tab called Mod Packs, I am using the single player ones
OK - I've had a quick look... I think I can see a problem.
> The latest mod pack there is for 1.4.5... I'm sure you said you had 1.4.6 - this may be why the Mods don't work
> The other thing about this is that it tells you to delete your existing Minecraft folder & replace it with the one on Dropbox - now IIRC this is illegal as it means he is distributing minecraft.jar (which I would guess is actually 1.4.5 & not 1.4.6) in the download
> Also, all the MOD's included are stored in the '/Mod/ folder' but no sign of Magic (or any other launcher) so I would guess the minecraft.jar has actually been modified already (HOW it's been modified I don't know)... & as I've said in past it's ALWAYS good to start with a clean minecraft.jar with Magic to avoid conflicts etc
Anyway - If you ARE using 1.4.6 - these are the MODs that are in the pack - I've included links so that you can download the required version. Note that I've not looked their installation procedures - I suggest you do to see if there's any other 'special requirements'
Once again I would suggest starting with a totally clean minecraft.jar, make sure the '/mods/' and '/core-mod/' folders are empty (if not move the contents somewhere else for now)
I would then download the mods & store them somewhere ELSE other than the '/mods/' folder that many installation tell you to do
(I would suggest in a folder like a '/.minecraft/mods/1.4.6_mods/' folder)
Run Magic & Add either Forge OR Modloader first (I don't know if any of these MODs are only MODLOADER compatible or FORGE only compatible - you will have to look at the appropriate threads). Remember that with Forge : '1 error' showing in Magic is normal
- [Test] to make sure minecraft runs OK
- THEN [add] a MOD one at a time & RETEST to make sure it still runs - I know its a pain, but it will help narrow down which MOD may not be working OK
> If any 'errors' come up (other than the 'Forge' one) try rearranging the mods by moving [up]/[down] & see if the errors disappear - it might be that the mod conflicts with classes of another mod
> If any come up with 'No mods found' it MIGHT still work, or that particular MOD needs other 'special attention' to get working correctly, & we'll have to look further into it
The last line show there's not enough memory for JAVA VM (Vitual Memory) to run
You have 2Gb assigned to minecraft but how much memory does your PC have ??
Don't forget that you need memory free to run Minecraft, AND JAVA - assiging too much to minecraft doesn't leave enough for JAVA to run (IIRC Vanilla Minecraft only need ~512Mb to actually run)
Try reducing the 2GB down (try 1024 perhaps ??) and see if it works
Can't find my .minecraft folder, this is were my mods are, how to get there ? (I know where it is, but I went to another folder and couldn't gat back to appdata/roaming/.minecraft etc)
C:\Users\"yourusername"\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Just type it in your address bar and it should take you there
C:\Users\"yourusername"\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Just type it in your address bar and it should take you there
Even easier [IMO], open "Run..." and type %appdata%.
I don't see it in the TODO list, so I'll suggest. Have an option to choose multiple mods/coremods folders, so that you can "Manage" it but also choose a different one, and when you change your setups it automatically renames the chosen setup's mod and coremod folders to that and renames the others to mod-setupname or whatever.
Hey, i found a glitch wit Magic Launcher and Skype. when ever i'm playing and i used ML to open minecraft, when i get a message from a friend on skype, my keyboard quits working with minecraft, the only thing i can do is press ALT and close it down. i can't use ESC or click back onto minecraft, it's stuck this way till i restart minecraft.

I have been having some trouble with magic launcher lately. Whenever I try to connect to a server, it will show the connecting screen, and then the game exits. It only does it with magic launcher though. I think that this is a bug. If you need to know, I'm using 32 bit Java on a 64 bit system running windows 8 and I'm using Magic Launcher 1.0.0.
Hello I need help for this Magic Launcher. Can you help me?
What sort of help do you need ? - Cannot run it ?? / Cannot add MODs ?? / Don't know how to use it ?? / Magic crashes ???... can you be a,little more specific - we cant help if we don't know what your problem is

As Far As I Know - you NEED both 32-Bit AND 64-bit JAVA when using this on a 64-Bit Operating system.. your problem could be because Magic knows it's on a 64-bit OS & tries to run 64-bit JAVA but can't find it
