SUGGESTION: when i use this for BIG mods (ex. 2d craft) it almost always says "no mods found". I don't know if it's because some big mods contain multiple zip/files or if certain types of files (ex. DS or certain class files) i don't blame you it's the reason i use ML ;D
i just hope it's fixed in 1.0 (please don't flag me for spam, i just want to know what's coming in the 1.0 update :D)
I downloaded this to increase the allocated RAM to Minecraft, but it won't allow me to do it, because it's says it goes over the maximum allowed RAM or something of the sort.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it? I only have 1 Gb RAM allocated at the moment
You need 64bit java to use more than 2GB memory.
If you have 64bit java installed and it is not automatically detected, then you can use "Setup -> Advanced -> Java" to select the correct java executable.
I love the launcher, and I've been using it for a while, but now MC keeps crashing whenever I try to load up any world or try to log on to any server. Here's the crash report for when I tried to log on to one of my single player worlds:
...
java.lang.RuntimeException: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Could not share contexts

...
You have OptiFine with Chunk Loading set to Multi-Core (or older Multi-Core edition), but the graphics driver does not support it.
Change Chunk Loading to Default or Smooth or use another OptiFine edition.
hey loving the launcher until this happend

First off, awesome tool - makes playing with snapshots/mods a breeze.
Second, would it be possible for different configs to remember its own texture pack to use? One way of doing this is to change the "skin:{textpack name}" option in .minecraft\options.txt file before launch.
Can't wait for the Update feature (but only on Default config maybe).
Ps. Wanted to share this: http://redd.it/zqa28 - Would love it if you can add an "custom Menu" option.
If the configuration is using a separate folder (Advanced -> Minecraft Folder) then it will have its own settings including skin, worlds, etc.
The custom menu is cool, I saw it on reddit.
Adding a custom menu is only possible with mods, the launcher can not do this.
I have no idea why this isn't working but every time I try to log in to minecraft with my mods i get this error log

I found a funny bug, if you have an outdated version of Minecraft and you log on using Magic Launcher, it doesn't ask you to update. I found that funny and very convenient.
Anyways what is the "Could not reserve enough space for object heap" thing? Iv'e tried to lower and raise my MB but that does nothing. Please help
Set the allocation to 0 in the Setup screen. Start a game then hit the F3 button to see how much RAM is being used by MC. After watching it for a bit allocate just a little above the max you witnessed.
its great all you need to do is add a way to run 1.3.2 and snapshots and run them sepratly
Setup a file system similar to the one below by creating a "Configurations" folder inside of the "\bin" directory then point a configuration to the appropriate jar file.

Hey I really like magic launcher and it is very useful, but I have 1 question. How would you use nodus with magic launcher? I like to use nodus on servers i dont like, but i disable it on ones i do like. So thanks guys if you could figure out how to use nodus with magic launcher just reply. Thx
I downloaded Magic Launcher for mac os x. Every time i test it with no mods added, it starts up fine, but when i add something like modloader, it does this.

Magic Launcher has an Issue with ModLoader 1.3.2. When i try to start Minecraft with Magic Loader 0.9.9 with a clean Minecraft.jar and only ModLoader 1.3.2 selected to load i get this:

I try with Forge and Optifine config and it works as it should. It only seems to be ModLoader that im having issues with. Anyone got any Ideas?? (and i know its not ModLoader files itself as ive downloaded them from risugami's thread twice already)
Solved this myself.
Was the amount of extra stuff in my .minecraft folder in general
I've been using Magic Launcher for some while now, but I don't know of a way to change modloader configuration files or anything of the sort. Am I overlooking a feature or is it simply not implemented?

How so? are you trying to make seperate Configurations of mods?
I.E. Have This as one config:
ModLoader.zip
AudioMod.zip
Biosphere.zip
and this as another:
ModLoader.zip
Arrows Mod.zip
Lightsensor.zip
Spawner GUI.zip

Yes, I'm using several different configurations, but that's besides the point. What I want to do is modify the .properties files that would usually be generated when using Modloader or Forge (One of the two, but that's besides the point). Is there a way to change these files in advance?

No, it is Windows 2000 ;-)
