Just to avoid any confusion I am not receiving any errors, launcher is not crashing the minecraft client that it launches, the program itself just refuses to do anything at all.

Can anyone point me to current help files or some clues on how to set up my choices of mods? I got Optifine running okay but I want to add JourneyMap, and it appears as though ML objects there is "no Forge" so how do I add Forge into the mix? Or basically, how do I interpret any error notices the ML displays? I'm a noob at MineCraft but hardly new to configurations (though I am no Java programmer, I admit). I am missing something but don't see any explanations for 1.11.2 or thereabouts with mods.

Make sure you have Oracles Java 8 lastest build installed , ML will not use the minecraft Java .
Install all your Minecraft versions , Install Forge Versions , extract Liteloader into , / mods / versions # , folder
don't mix and match mod versions , put each mod version into its respective version # folder
Create a ML profile in setup select a Forge version you installed
Only add Coremods to the list , Forge is not a coremod ,*.jars will be found by forge

Thank you! I'm getting somewhere, now! I managed to install 64 bit Java 8, and I can get ML to see it. I next need to work on the rest of your instructions - to get the mods and Forge etc., in to the proper folders. I had not realized right away, that hovering over the tabs on the Setup in ML will explain where things should be, too.
It would be nice if there were some more explanation about the ML messages that can show up in the setup windows - "No Forge," and "no mods" and "???" in yellow or red, is not quite enough help for at least this user. But, also I believe, this is a weak point in all of the launchers. Twitch doesn't offer much information at all, and the MC launcher sometimes doesn't seem to be helpful, either. I am doing a lot of trial and error!
So I am currently running Minecraft 1.7.10 on Magic Launcher with around 49 mods installed. When I login through Magic Launcher the game runs and everything is functional. When I go into the advanced settings for Magic Launcher, whenever I try to change memory input from 512MB to something higher the game crashes. This doesn't make sense to me because I have 11.9 usable RAM on my computer.
Does anybody know why Magic Launcher or Minecraft is doing this? Anybody know what the problem is exactly? Thanks in advanced guys!

The order of injection of mods matters . With so many mods you should set memory to 2G (2048meg) and add a few mods at a time until you find the conflict , Try moving coremods around in list . Do not add Forge mods to the list , they go in /mods/1.7.10/
1.12 still works in Magic Launcher Be sure to use Mojangs launcher first to download 1.12 then close it and reopen Magic Launcher and setup a new profile and select 1.12. Go to Advanced and change your java memory, by default its at 512MB. Set it to 1GB if you have low RAM or 2GB is better.

The reddit feed tab stopped working since last month, looking at the logs I see "Error loading: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraft.rss: Server returned HTTP response code: 429 for URL: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraft.rss", did googling "HTTP 429" meaning Too Many Requests, but if I go peek that link feed in my chrome browser, it loads fine. No Ratelimiting. I guess all those tabs are rendered on a custom server of your own which triggers the 429.
Also seems Mojang changed its Realms SSL cert, Chrome reports "NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID" which resolves to *.realms.minecraft.net. Here's the error below:
Server check failed for https://mcoapi.minecraft.net/mco/available, javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative DNS name matching mcoapi.minecraft.net found.
Also, you seem to ignore/forgot my PM for new ideas (or I could implement myself but theres no source code of it which is private) here:
- Mojang changed Minecraft news to minecraft.net, maybe a new tab for Minecraft.net and the other one for Mojang blog?
- Running MagicLauncher on a USB stick works, but when changing computers or the drive letter changes, the launcher complains it does not exist, but when entering in SETUP and changing the Environment to another and reselecting the Environment back, it updates the config, but every-time the drive letter changes automatically I need to repeat those steps. (SOrry my english sucks so I don't know proper explanation)
- Minecraft heads in the username field/dropdown menu, but it'll require fetching heads first. To load the head, either from minotar.net, cravatar.eu or my own skin server (fetches from mojang) using /helm/<playername>/32.png or 24.png from tntup.me, minotar.net or cravatar.eu, your choice, or else customizable option to the user to prefer a custom skin server maybe
Hoping these bug reports / suggestions are useful for you
does it allow to go lower than release 1.1? Cuz I want to have spc (SinglePlayerCommands, And I dont have the files, Anyone willing to give me the files? thanks.) and tmi(TooManyItems or JEI[Just Enough Items] and NEI[Not Enough Items] mixed together and working together [[Again, I dont have the file(s) for TMI]]) on beta 1.7.3

MoreCommands works with newer MC versions (1.7.10 and later I think) and is much more complete than the later versions of SPC (matches 1.2.5 and earlier).
alright, doesn't seem like this error has come up over the last few pages. so I've playd Minecraft 1.11.2 with Magic not too long ago, no prob. but today I try to open Magic and I get a little pop up window that says "This application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0". I have Java 1.8.something, why would it start acting up like this? minecrafts normal launcher still launches fine, and so does the game.

I resolved the issue by reinstalling Java back over it's self.

yes you can use in any version . It will inject core mods . Try Morecommands on newer versions , https://github.com/MrNobody98/morecommands

I had hoped an update with a fix for the Realms would of been out by now. Is there a way to fix this myself?
Should always read through the 10,000 posts for the answer . ;?)
Under , Environment : , select the 1.7.10 forge profile that was created by running the 1.7.10 Forge installer
The add mods window is for adding Coremods only . Remove Forge and any non Coremods from that add mods section.
All 1.7.10 Forge mods need to go into the , /.minecraft / mods / 1.7.10 / . directory .
Are you going to continue to keep this tool updated? Will it work for 1.12 Modded Minecraft?
Thank you
It works with all versions , betas - 1.12 , plus future versions
