After i compile the mod in cmd it just says "C:Users\Kenneth\Desktop\VaselineYeater_MozilsTools_4475288256\files\MozilsTools\ForgeScr\build\libs <The system cannont find the file specified>" Everything else ran good
im stuck at Starting Setup Process, Im waiting for AGES! I tried restarting it, redownloading java development kit and also the mod! please help me! I really like to make a mod! thank you in advance!
Sorry you're stuck I've never had this happen to anyone before. How good is your computer? I know it may seem crazy, but try leaving it run for 30-40 minutes or so.
hey, i just came here to tell you of a few bugs I've found in the newest version of mcmodgen. i figure you will be able to fix these, and im sorry if any of this is repeated
1: the actual properties of blocks you make don't get packaged into the mod; in fact i looked through the files myself and found no properties for blocks at all through all of it
so when i set hardness of a block, it doesnt register the hardness. when i go to break it in survival, all blocks break instantly, and all my blocks beyond crops(ill get to those next) require a pickaxe.
2: crops do not actually change texture
im sure this is just a simple coding error, but the crop files all set their texture to texture 0; should be an easy fix i presume
3: the generator. when you set blocks to spawn below a certain point, they never spawn.
i figured this out after hours of altering the code on it. even though i went deep underground to check, none of the blocks were actually generating. could you please look into this, as i would like to be able to set blocks to certain levels underground
4: blocks dropping items. if i set it up to do this via the website, the mod won't load right and throws errors
and when i do it myself by coding it, the blocks completely ignore it.
that is about all that i can think of that i found
P.S.
i think it would be cool if you set up something to create custom generatable structures (like trees) and also if you added entities to it. it may be a bit harder to do, and i get that, but it would be cool
Thank you so much for the detailed descriptions of the problems. This helps me SO MUCH in making the fixes and improvements that are needed.
One thing that could be causing the issue is that McModGen hasn't been updated to anything past 1.8.4 (I think). So, if you're working with 1.8.9 things *might* have different issues that I haven't looked into. Obviously, no excuse on my part.
If possible, could you provide me with just your username on McModGen so that I can investigate the issues on the specific mods on your account?
1) I'm super curious about the block properties. As far as I know, these have been working just fine. Like I mentioned before, maybe there have been changes in the latest version that is causing this issue
2) Same as previous response, but, be certain that you aren't changing the texture names whenever you replace them
3) Generators have been a persistent issue for me, haha. Honestly, in the latest release I was fairly certain I had them working again. I'll look into it.
4) I think I have a good idea of what is happening here.
PS. Response) My plan is to expand upon the generators system immensely. Eventually I want to provide the ability to generator structures, trees, buildings, etc... Then, to top it off I would love to add in the ability to make new biomes for these structures to generate in. This is probably a long while off, as I need to get all of the current features back up and running with the latest version of Minecraft.
oh the libs folder is there but it is not copying it
@JacksonThomas
So, you downloaded and compiled it. Then was it when you installed the mod into minecraft?
@Diamondtheender
Alrighty, so you can either go into the libs folder and copy your mod out directly or if you want to get into it you can change the file permissions.
I got the mac fix, and it's still not working.
hi
can i add the blocks textures and sounds?, and customizable GUI?
@EndlessEmerald
Sorry to hear
What issues are you having?
@xxCIULLAxx
1) You can add block textures after you download
2) Currently no way to add custom sounds
3) Custom GUIs require custom coding So, no, sorry ;(
Hey, i are you gonna potentially make an update so I can be able to make custom recipes for tools and armour? If so, that would be awesome
@Drupenson
If that's something people would be interested in I would be happy to add it!
Just the same thing as last time. The only thing different is something in the .sh file.
hi
@EndlessEmerald
Are you running the .sh file directly or are you running it from the terminal?
After i compile the mod in cmd it just says "C:Users\Kenneth\Desktop\VaselineYeater_MozilsTools_4475288256\files\MozilsTools\ForgeScr\build\libs <The system cannont find the file specified>" Everything else ran good

@VaselineYeater
Did the build and set process return 0?
@EndlessEmerald
Are you a system administrator?

try running it again. this happened to me once and all that happened was it slipped up and didn't load in the libs file
@EndlessEmerald
did you take the actual mod and put it into the mods folder or did you take the jar for the installer for the mod and put it into the mods folder
@Scruffy3Janitor

Is this different than mcmyadmin? better codings?
can you make it so you can make custom gui's
@TechniumGaming
McMyAdmin is actually for hosting servers. This is for making mods for client and servers
And custom GUIs do require custom coding, sadly No good way for me to implement them
