Great! I haven't used it because I already installed Minecraft . But I think that a debian file (*.deb) would be even better.
Agreed; a .deb file would be fantastic. I would also like some sort of setting to change the amount of memory that it allows Minecraft to run. And also an option to install a custom client...
This is great! I was having some trouble with Minecraft not letting me log in, and re-installed it using this. It works fine now; and there's a desktop icon instead of a .jar file. Thanks a lot for this!
Hello good sir, I happen to use Ubuntu and this installer is a brilliant piece of work. I have a question though, may I have permission to make a GTK GUI interface for it (and if possible submit it in a competition?). I think a GUI interface would hopefully open this up to those who have little to no idea of what they are doing.

Goodwork man! This script works really well
Diamonds to you!
But seriously, really well made. Thank you for making this, much easier than going through Terminal each time, or if I do all I need to do is one command! Thanks!
Minecraft opens fine and everything, but my keyboard fails to work when I try to play the game. When I went into the "Controls" in Settings, I clicked on the box for "Forward" movement, and tried typing "w" but nothing happened. I pressed every key on my keyboard and nothing happened, but when I typed on my web browser, text came up as it should. Help, please.
