Hmmm, pretty much everything I do it to it makes an error now, even starting it up. It wasn't doing this when I downloaded it. Oh well, thanks for patching it soon.
Really am sorry, try redownloading it one last time before I patch it up. At worst you'll just have to download the new version tomorrow. It's just a small snag in the updating code that screws everything up.

I'm trying this on a laptop now. Currently getting .NET framework for it.
I'm just that dedicated.
And teh file is done!
Now its extracting the files.
And its done with that
Now its installing!
Finished verifying the files.
1/5 the way done.
Does it automatically delete the META-INF?
Also does this auto-patch?
And it just finished!
It does automatically delete the META-INF folder if it detects that it exists. And about auto-patching, it will in the near future, just not in this version. The resource files do, however.
I redownloaded it, it still doesn't but oh well, I started a new game without being able to be incredibly temped to invent hack myself some tools. So thanks I guess. It's nice to get back to the roots every once in awhile.

Are you just copying the executable to your old folder? Make sure that in the folder with the program, you only have the jars and resources folders, as well as settings.txt and the CSharp DLL.
Some bugs I've noticed immediately. Also note that by "crash" I mean "unhandled exception". Generally I can click continue and move on with the program, but it still seems fit to report these.
1) Clicking backup again after the first time causes a crash. Not a big deal, you don't really need to ever click it again unless you need a new backup, but it's all about cleaning up the program.
2) Clicking anywhere in "Your Jars" in Jar Manager without selecting a jar (basically clicking on white space without having an actual jar highlighted) will cause a crash. Slightly annoying if you misclick, but not a huge deal.
3) Putting only one color into a box in "Settings" and not filling out the other will cause a crash if you try to save changes.
That's all I've noticed from just being an idiot and doing stuff in weird ways.
Wow! I just read the 206 posts from OCMI and all these as well. (I cheered when Elementis finally got his problem solved.)
I am glad Ultimate_omega got the credit he deserved. He really was right there all the way.

Downloading today! You make it look effortless to create such a user-friendly / helpful /comprehensive program. It blows my mind.
Please get the code out for your banner (unless I missed it?) so we can all support you and get the word out!
& I think you ought to add it to the Released Mods section
[EDIT]
Rats! Getting an error when I open the .exe. I think my computer file structure might be organized in an unusual way.
Here's most of the text from the error window...
"Microsoft .NET Framwork
Unhandled Exception...
Could not find a part of the path
'C:\users\Steve\Appdata\Roaming\minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar'
(I think) My path is actually...
'C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Application Data\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar'

I just patched all 3 of those up, and each one is working fine now. :smile.gif: Thanks for your help! If you find any other small quirks please let me know, as I'd like to make this program perfect, or as close as it can be to perfect.

Hey linkey, I just updated it to Version 1.0.1 - this fixes all known errors that were popping up in the old one. Sorry for all the mess ups, shouldn't happen again.

It's easy to me simply because I do automation programming as a living - I make bots, creators, AI's, etc. etc. for people that need them made. It becomes second nature after a while. :wink.gif:

I dunno, it's a possibility, but I'm not sure if people would really consider this a mod.

Yeah, I'll change some stuff around and make the jar path editable for V1.0.2. That may be out tonight, if not then definitely tomorrow. :smile.gif:
::UPDATE::
Version 1.0.1 is now out - this patches up a few errors that were happening with Version 1.0.0. Please download it and use it instead. :smile.gif:
For some reason, the mojang symbol is stretched past the bottom of the page and in full screen it is in the corner, and then the mods don't work. I used only mods that were already available. Do you know any possible reason for this?
Wait... Do you need a new world to get mods to work? That might solve the mods not working problem.
Not having a clue, but not letting that stop me- I tried to change the link you provided (http://i.imgur.com/eXlue.jpg) into the format my 2 banners use. Example of Rangecraft's text: [Millionth EDIT] Actual text creates a banner pic so I deleted it but here's what I did with yours:
But that was no good. The User Control Panel/Edit Signature says "You cannot use certain BBCodes: [img]."

I have a feeling I don't actually have sign in, but if I do, then oh well.
And I mean like the bottom couple pixels have been stretched down off the screen.
Alright! This new version is fixed as in, now I can use the program to install mods. But it is still removing the mods from the mods installed list. The mods still work when they disappear but it's slightly annoying not quite knowing what mods you have on a jar.

Yeah, Optimine messes with it, but no harm done to the whole game.
TheMegaInferno: Arctic and I have been working with all speed to make this as user-friendly as we can.
Even when I don't add optimine the listed mods are still cleared. The only one that stays 100% of the time is modloader. Sometimes while opening it I also get the error "the directory is not empty" I can click continue and it works just fine, but it's kinda weird.

Also-
I have "Application Data" on my PC,too. With Windows XP Home Edition.
Sorry for chopped up post
"NoUIResize" might help:

It makes it smaller and centered- on my computer at least. Don't know about the mods, except check that you have the latest revision of minetopia

Okay, I run Vista. So I wouldn't know.
planetyonx: that's odd. Mediafire allows outside downloads, as in you don't need to be signed in. Ahh, I'll set up a Dropbox mirror for it.

Yeah, that's heck of a bug, I'll bring it to Arctic's attention, if he hasn't noticed already.
