First off, want to say that Minutor has been immensely helpful to me. My computer has been having random shut-down issues which has led to my Minecraft world dying and me having to find my house over and over again, and only Minutor has been a helpful map-generator that lets me find my way back home quickly and easily.
That being said, I'm having some trouble with Minutor right now and I can't seem to find my house for the life of me. Every time I think I head in the right direction, I think I wind up totally missing the mark.
I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but when I open my world on Minutor, it's been opening up to the same spot on the map over and over again, even though I know I've moved a good distance away from that position. I went to the View tab, and neither Jump to Spawn nor Jump to Player was available (both grayed out). So I'm kind of lost on where exactly I am in my world. It appears my Minutor is stuck. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it?
Well, it seems mrkite / Sean has not been working on Minutor too much lately (last hg commit is 6 weeks old, the addition of 1.5 blocks).
I therefore took the liberty and at least compiled a Windows version without the tiresome GDI leak. For those of you who hate to see the slider go all white, here's a fixed version :wink.gif: Note: it does NOT have the 1.5 blocks added (I don't have hg)
Thanks for that. Yeah, I've been sucked into Terraria, and it just occurred to me that I didn't re-setup my subscription to this thread on the new forums.
I was going to wait until 1.7 to push out a new version, but I think I'll jump the gun a little. I should have a new version out tonight or tomorrow... it'll support the new blocks and have your GDI fix.
Don't know what is up, but just the other day, Minutor has started running REALLY slow. It lags real bad when I try and move around the map or lower the view, etc.
I was wondering if it would be possible to combine the lighting mode and cave mode functions to work together? Ideally, if both were active, it wouldn't show caves that are illuminated, only dark ones. Any chance of this happening, mrkite77?

Interesting idea, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I haven't really had much time to focus on Minutor lately. I'm waiting for a lull in work to get back to it and start adding features again.

mrkite77 i was wondering if its possible to add a map deleting tool something simple where i can just hightlight the part of the map that i dont want and delete. then the game would regenerate the deleted part back when im near that area. i know i can use mcedit but its so hard to navigate and pinpoint anything with that program, i hate it.
Does this work with Mac OS X Lion, yet? Just got an iMac three days ago.
I've looked into it.. and the problem I'm seeing is that it's really difficult, if not impossible, to support Lion and Snow Leopard in a Universal Binary. I'm still deciding whether or not to leave the Snow Leopard people behind.

I'd like to see this too, a simple, top-down map viewer that can delete chunks. It would be cool if it could copy & paste them too, but that's gravy. It would be nice if Minutor could do that, but it's a bit beyond what it was made for. I find MCEdit a bit hard to use as well, the navigation is tricky and you're not always sure what you have selected to delete. With 1.8 coming up, I'd like to trim my world a bit to have those areas regenerate with the new features.

Okay, so I'm a total nubcaek when it comes to mods and accessories for MC, etc. and I only have this one very simple, very stupid question about using this. (btw I installed it because I was incredibly lost and didn't want to lose my stuff from dying so I could re-spawn. I found my base and I'm happy again!)
When scrolling through the layers, I've noticed the colours like red, green, blue, lava colour water colour etc. While i can take a stab and say that the colours of ores will be represented by that specific coloured pixel, I'd like to know for sure before I start marking off points of interest to go mining in and potentially wasting a lot of time.
Is there a key for the colours you see in the layering? Like I mentioned just now, orange obviously being lava, blue being water or bluestone etc.
Forgive the absolute stupidity of this post. Just a new user trying to figure out a new toy. ^^;;
Um, I've got a few problems with the latest Minutor version (1.2.1):
1) I'm not seeing the new blocks from 1.8. When I try to make a new color scheme, the list of blocks only goes to ID 96 (Trapdoor); with the release of 1.8, the highest block ID number is now 109 (Stone Brick Stairs). See the "Data Values" page on the wiki for the full list of blocks and their ID numbers.
2) It lags a lot. I think it has to do with what's displayed beyond the edge of the generated chunks; maybe the transparency is slowing it down.
I really like Minutor, and have been using it for a long time. I'd be overjoyed if these little problems were taken care of.

Thanks.. there was a bug that prevented the 1.8 blocks from showing up. Just released 1.2.2 which fixes that. Can't
really do much about the lag right now.

Note for mac users: Xcode 4 no longer supports compiling for OSX 10.5, so version 1.2 requires Snow Leopard now.

Oh well. Thanks for the reply. :smile.gif:

I'll be working on it this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

You can mouse over the blocks and it'll identify the block in the lower right corner of the window.
btw, just put out 1.2.1, which added support for the new blocks from 1.8
Oh, cheers for that! ^^;;
