And the reason for the long lasting release process is that both (mrkite and myself) are not playing Minecraft anymore (or only once every 3 month). And as someone already mentioned, full-time job and family absorb most of the time. So there will only be progress during vacation periods.
One thing I've found - to do a clean reinstall, you must first delete "Users\<username>\AppData\Local\seancode\Minutor" - That's apparently where Minutor definitions are stored and they don't seem to like being overwritten.
Yes, deleting that folder removes all old definitions. It is intended to be auto-updated but that was not working in all versions (for various reasons and therefore unfortunately for most releases...). We now have an automatic repair function that helps in some cases.
If you fear to damage anything by deleting files, you can achieve the same thing by:
[View]->[Manage Definitions] and then remove everything
Thanks - in my particular case, the Definitions box was already empty (even tho the folder was full), so nothing to remove! So had to fall back to the aforementioned post....

In 1.14 worlds there are changes in chunk sections... I believe for optimization purposes. Highest sections (with air only) has no "Palette", "BlockStates" and "BlockLight" entries so simple fix is to embed code that parse this elements with if statement like this:
if(section->has("Palette")) {
[code here for parsing "Palette"]
}
if(section->has("BlockStates")) {
[code here for parsing "BlockStates"]
}
if(section->has("BlockLight")) {
[code here for parsing "BlockLight"]
}
Somewhere in chunk.cpp below line 188
Here in attachment is how DataVersion 1943 look like in NBTExplorer
P.S.
Mob spawning detection is also broken because it is using "Palette" info so chunk with section without "Palette" Tag will crash minutor :/
for fix change code of 3 lines in mapview.cpp: 515, 518 and 521 from:
if (section1) {
if (section2) {
if (sectionB) {
to:
if (section1 && section1->paletteLength) {
if (section2 && section2->paletteLength) {
if (sectionB && sectionB->paletteLength) {
I can´t seem to open Minutor on my PC for Minecraft 1.13.
All I get are error messages titled "Error Hashing Block" for every single block on the game. Even aftercompletely clearing minutor up and installing it again, nothing helps

Been really good to have it again! Some of the new features are really nice, such as the mob filter; in one area of my world a long while back i released some name tagged zombie pigmen to wander at will, I eventually lost track of them, died or despawned somehow i figured, but i found two using the filter, one had wandered into a small cave water pool and couldnt get out, another was hiding in some woods, he dated from 2015 no less! I also found a concentration of zombies who had picked up eggs and not despawned, a common problem in one of the previous versions when baby zombie chickens didnt despawn and dropped eggs; was able to clear them out nicely!
Will the EtlamGit updates commits I see fix the problems for 1.14?
I tried compiling Minutor in March but it failed after 4 days compiling everything (apparently I still missed some of the programs needed or my computer is not beefy enough), so for the 1.14 update I will wait for the official release. But keep up the good work.
Is there a moment when an (intermediate) version will be released?
I'm still a big fan of Minutor, but I'm not in the position of compiling it myself.
I agree.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
Minutor 2.20 has suddenly quit working on my Windows 10 machine.
I get an extremely long succession of error dialogs like the one below.
I can't close the program.
When I click on the close window X or click close another error dialog pops up.
The only way I can kill this is to open Windows Task Manager, select Minutor.exe and click "End Task".
Minutor 2.12 still works properly but, of course, can't display worlds created on any release after 1.12.2.

And again, thank you for all your work!
Thank you for updating and maintaining Minutor!
Fantastic job! I have updated my sig accordingly!
Mintutor now works in 1.13!
MrKite & Mc_Etlam ... I salute you!
Sadly it is not compatible with 1.14 snapshots. When tried to load world 19w13b got crashed at line 232 in chunk.cpp
But I managed to make it compatible...

Another compatibility fix needed for 1.14 Pre-Release 2
It appears that there is now possibility of middle sections in chunk without palette data...
my previous compilation crashed when I got one section in the middle without palette data on line 454 in mapview.cpp:
For simply fix just modify line 445 (couple lines above):
to:
and similarly for cave mode in line 585 and for tooltip info in line 628

As it is raining, all wood logs are processed and I'm back at the laptop, you will see some progress soon...
That old commit from beginning of this year solves all 1.14 problems.
These from last month fix some severe trouble with definition files.
And the one from yesterday gives some speed bonus for rendering (8x for me).
Hi Mc_Etlam,
Since I still cannot download a new version which supports 1.14: what is the current status?
There are still problems with the MacOS version.
But you can test the current Windows Build.
Thanx. Will try
I have installed your version a few days ago. It is working great (on windows). But I forgot to say thank you, so I'll do that now.
