EDIT: Finally, 2.12 is released. I haven't had the chance to extensively test it, but I think you'll like the new stuff. There's a new bow rune, the faith teleporter stuff, and a new shovel rune. I'll let C'tri add them to the wiki since he knows what they are, I really need sleep. Most I can do now is update the OP.

Let me start out by saying sorry Llama, i had a bad day and wasnt my intention to **** you off or anything i was just annoyed about the fact that the release was pushed forward all the time. I know coding can be a pain in the ass.. so once again. sorry.
i just installed the new version. but it doesnt load the mod on my server. and when a player joins it crashes. And the disabled-runes.txt isnt created either. Anyone know whats wrong? Would be greatly appreciated
Do you have the latest version of bukkit? It works for me, it was built for 1.2.5's bukkit build.

im not using bukkit. i used the vanilla version you released last night (2.12.zip)
EDIT: I have Modloader, ModloaderMP, Forge, Buildcraft and IC2 installed. has worked perfectly with the previous releases of runecraft
is it Incombatible with certain builds of Forge or something like that?
Ah, the image you posted didn't load until just now. It may have a conflict with forge, but I actually don't know anything about forge in the first place. The way you're supposed to install it is by dragging and dropping the files directly into the jar, maybe that will do something assuming you're using forge as a modloader for it.

Having a lot of difficulty with the new Faith runes.
Basically, we can only move a faith island once. Works great for that one time. After that, if we set up another faith teleportation rune on the same island, it accepts the signature, but when we try to activate it, it either says that the surrounding land is not stable enough to move, or that a destination has not been specified.

Anyway, several pages back someone mentioned the possibility of having separate WP/TP signatures per dimension. Was there ever anything done about that, or must signatures still be unique server-wide?

This is unusual. you're retargetting the original rune, or creating a second one on the same island?
the only time that the island's data would get lost like that, was if the Faith TP was interrupted, or two happened at the same time
We got errors for both retargeting and making a second one on the island. Server admin says there were miles of Runecraft errors in the console as well. I was going to do some comprehensive testing today and determine exactly what circumstances produce which errors, but it's actually working just fine now. We didn't change anything, so I don't know what happened.
I am the server admin working with Sujanra. I did not copy the errors last night as I was too tired to think straight. Today we were testing. We were moving one island around and it was working fine. Then we got this really cool idea, What about moving a massive fortress of several faith islands together to a location with several waypoints appropriately spaced. to start we started testing the required distance between faiths. we then created a second island. and moved it around a bit and finally right next to our first one. Then we tried to move the first one again we get the message "The land around you is not stable enough to travel." What does this mean?
When you say you can only lose and island data when two happen at the same time is that ever or just to the same location? Or, another way, can I move my island at the same time as someone else far away on my server as long as we are going to different destinations?
Can we get a list of all the faith messages and their meanings?
What makes a faith island a faith island? Can we change out all the original material for something else and still have it teleport? Is there a certain amount of air allowed below the surface? or is it just fine?

From what I understand from talking with C'tri, when you use the "Faith" rune that originally creates the island it actually makes a new entry in the magic.dat file with the location and radius of the island. This means the server remembers there's an island there, even if there are no blocks. The Faith Transfer Portal rune can be placed anywhere inside the Faith sphere, it doesn't need to be centered because it grabs the old sphere and moves it somewhere else. There is no way to "undo" Faith, however you can make a Faith Waypoint in the hole you created.
The error about "The land around you is not stable enough to travel." sounds like the message to prevent multiple teleports of the same island right after another. You should get a message like "The Aether relaxes around you" first. It's possible that more than one Faith island is causing the lock to not be released. I don't remember doing multiple Islands in the test.
(Is open white list a contradiction in terms? It wasn't originally white listed but there's apparently a griefer strike force for new servers, and Faith Points are made with Diamond Blocks. Leave people's diamond blocks alone and you'll see plenty more on this server.)
This reminds me of the old hmod conflict that zeerix fixed with a patch. Basically what needs to be done is a merge of the different pieces of code into the conflicted classes so that both mods have their hooks in place.

If it were any other mod, I'd ignore it. But Minecraft Forge is an API for pretty much all of the most popular mods. So it's a big win if Runecraft can stay compatible with Forge.
Also, admins should add Embedder to the disabled-runes list until it is patched. It's broken right now and may harm your server.
Is there possibly a list of permissions nodes somewhere? Apparently I can't spell zeerix's chest or phantom torch correctly. And Those are the 1st and 3rd ones I've tried.
