Wow, so 1.8x put my old chunks into the middle of an ocean, which I was getting used to and a little excited about, and now 1.9 put the same old chunks into the middle of a continent.
Looks like seeds are completely upredictable at this point. It's not just a matter of the biome border lines shifting anymore, everything about the terrain can change dramatically between every version now. I wonder if there will be a huge change like that again with 1.10? btw: the water level is still 1 level lower than 1.7.3

Hello, i have used the editor on many times and at least 99% of the times, itll randomly shift around chunks, it doesnt show this until after i leave the editor but once i do it changes them...how do i fix this, yes i am using the latest build
1. Select your House, Ship, Tower or whatever you wish to export
2. Click Copy
Now on the right Side apears your selection as thumbnail with a Save Button
3. Click Save
4. Give e usefull Name in File-Dialog-Box and Save
thats all
Fantastic program, as always. You have no idea how much mcedit helps me.
I do have few questions/suggestions:
-Would it be possible for you to allow people to assign new textures to an unknown block while in MCedit?
The reason being that if you work a lot with modded blocks, there's generally just a huge mess of white 'unknown blocks' that are impossible to differentiate from.
Edit: Sorry, just now saw your FAQ bit on modloader block support. Has there been any progress?
-Is there a way to denote a certain 'unknown' block as emitting light?
If not, could you make this possible? The main problem is mod-based lightsource blocks are not updated in the game after saving a map in MCedit unless manually refreshed, in-game.
Thanks again for making and maintaining such a great program.

Actually I just tried with even 4 chunks and it wouldn't create those, either.
It's missing something!!! An eraser tool, basically the opposite of the brush, with different sizes and styles :laugh.gif: . Without this, it's very annoying to delete blocks, without have a square indent as the result.
Quoting myself, you've missed my post a few pages ago, this was on stable30 but I'm still having the same problem with stable32.
What is it importing? is there something wrong with my .minecraft files?
hi,this looks great but it is not working for me :S i have installed MCEdit-stable32-win32-setup.exe in application data and when i try to open it a command prompt pops up then quickly closes and it says 2 words loading imports... i barely was able to read it i used print screen and pasted it in paint to see it because it closes extremely quickly i am using 32 bit xp please help me to run it i have java idk why its not working i really want to try it out :S
As soon as I upgraded to Mac OS X Lion, I have lost the ability to import schematics into MCEdit.
I have tried the same schematic and map on Windows 7 and it works fine.
I am using MCEdit stable32
its done this since 29, i reported it to him long ago and he is working on it. it was supposed to be fixed in last version but it wasnt apparently. just do this:
Sit.
Wait.
...
PRO- yknow what im not doing that retarded joke its just stupid.
So, was trying to export schematics, realised it was changed to copy, but when i click save, the save box just disappears, without telling me where it saved the file or asking me what should i name it.
Anyone having this problem?
I have downloaded McEdit because I would really like to try it out. However, if I open the program (by clicking main.exe) I only get a black cmd like window that disappears within half a second. I've tried this on two different laptops, but it happens on both. Does it matter where you unzip McEdit? Does it have to be anywhere specific in relation to the saves folders? I hope someone can help me solving this!
