Are the bison ridable? As in, can you put saddles (and maybe custom armour?) on them then ride them through the sky? They should be able to fly, but maybe there should be a limit on how little mg you can fly with them at once before they need to rest and eat.
I'm still working on the bison but once they're done, multiple people can ride on them at once. Having limits is a great idea. So if more people ride on the bison it gets hungrier?
Hello. This would be the 101st weekly update, but unfortunately I have some bad news.
So back in the winter I built a computer with a liquid cooling system. Bad idea. Unfortunately, I forgot to screw one of the knobs in tight enough and there was a leak... the coolant and electronics didn't exactly play well together. So yeah, my pc is completely ruined. What a waste of money, time, and happiness!
Sadly this means I won't be able to work on the mod until I get a new computer, which will probably be in about 2 months when I save up enough. Until then, development will be postponed until later. I'm really disappointed that this has to happen and really wish it would have worked out better. Really sorry everyone

WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY did this happen to you??!?!?!?!?!! The injustice!!!!!!
It's okay.
Also, what kind of liquid coolant did you use? Liquid nitrogen? And did the coolant just destroy the CPU and part of the motherboard, or the sound cards, all of the motherboard, and the wifi cards?
Oh nvm, April Fools! Man, you got me good.
Also: For all aspiring modders, or current modders, please back up your work! So if the thing that Crows mentioned really does happen, or something else bad, you don't lose 2 months worth of work.
Oh man. It sounds like you guys are getting worried. That was actually supposed to be an april fools joke. I just had last minute homework so I didn't post until now... so everything is good... ??
It is now 26th weekly update (did not reach 100 yet!). This week. there are new sky bison stuff as well as level IV on the way.
Sky bison are getting pretty close to being done at this point. Multiple players can now ride them; one is the driver and others will sit in the back. Did you know what entities can now have multiple people riding them? I thought only 1 player could ride each entity, and I wasted 2 days trying to implement a bison saddle entity, where there would be several saddles attached to the bison that each player would ride. I ended up scrapping that, and simply set the position of riding players based on some simple math.
Bison need to be fed food, and depending on how far they are going and how many players that they carry, will require more food. When hungry, bison will move much slower and eventually need to rest, so ensure that you have adequate supplies of hay and other bison food. More factors like health and sleep might be added too.
As of yet, there is still no bison model, so hopefully you can still visualize it with a white box. You can kind of tell the direction of bison by the orientation of where the players are sitting. Here is what it looks like so far.
Note: Left window has the driver. Right window has both the people sitting in it.
Although the bison is still a white box, which makes it a bit hard to visualize, the rider are placed into their proper positions. Currently 3 can ride, but probably 5 or 6 are planned (once model is done which will accommodate more space). Only the owner can "drive" the bison.
I found a fun trick. Since the bison will try to follow its owner if they dismount, you can lead the bison on foot, and the other players could still ride the bison.
There are also level IV variants of each ability coming out. Each level 4 option turns the ability into a formidable attack, making For example, with one level 4 variant of flamethrower you can create fires wherever the flames land. This means that you can easily make the world burn!! Another example is air gust can pull entities towards you so you can pull them in, then dish out some melee attacks. You can even hover slightly above lava using air bubble.
Upgraded flamethrower. Awww yeah baby!
Air bubble upgrade allowing you to float over blocks... even lava!
Although one may argue that these level IV perks are OP, they do cost much more chi to use and are hard to achieve. You also might be able to only get a few abilities to level 4 due to lack of scrolls. Though they will be balanced more if need be! More level IVs are on the way.
Are there any level 1, 2 and 3 abilities? How do they upgrade? hehe
Leave the Sky Bison's model like that, I like the squareness.
Generally, level 1 is the most basic version. Level 2 and 3 upgrade the ability generally and you don't get a choice. On level 4, that's where you can choose what to specialize the ability in, and it's where the ability gets really powerful.

This looks amazing, You brought one of the coolest mods back to life (although your different creators) , I'm so happy that someone else is working on another avatar mod!
Yes, as long as you listen to the GPL. Do you have a forum thread for it yet?
You mean for the mod I'm planning to make? Yes, I do.
Are you going to add anymore abilities in the upcoming update, or is the next update just for scrolls and mobs? (I don't mind if you don't add any new abilities, as you've been working really hard on mobs and scrolls. The level IV variants also look really cool.)
Someone on Curseforge wants to speak to you. I covered some of his/her questions, but she/he still needs some help.

Weekly update?
I don't plan on adding any abilities, but maybe in a5.0.
Thank you for replying to that person, also weekly update will be either tonight or tomorrow.
It's the 27th weekly update.I was out of town lately, so there aren't so many content related features this week. Though Captn_dubz did finish the flying bison models, and EduMC made texture for water pouch:
Full-sized so you can see sky bison in their unfettered glory.
Water pouch[/header]
You can fill up water pouches by right clicking on a water source. If water is not nearby when using Water Arc, the pouch's water will be used instead. Pouches can hold up to 3 water arcs before needing a refill.
As you can see, CaptnDubz is doing a great job doing models and EduMC continues to make great textures. The next update is coming together very well!
More will be coming next week. At this point, it looks like features for a4.0 will be
* Level 4 upgrades
* Revamped ability upgrade screen
* Sky bison!
* Badger-moles or other animals??
* Water pouches, bison whistle, and possibly air gliders
Quests and attributes would be postponed to another update, since it would require coding the backend, then also GUI, integrating it with all of the abilities, and the actual code for each quest/attribute. The target for a4.0 is in one month, so there isn't a lot left to add.

Standing ovation to CaptnDubz! Those Sky Bison look awesome! I though they might be a little bit bigger, but that's not really an issue. Water pouches are also a cool addition

AWESOME!!!!!
If you implement dragons, are you going to use a custom model for the dragons? (I think the ender dragon's model is crappy)

I really SHOULD add dragons. I can ask Captn_Dubz to make a new model for them. Honestly, the enderdragon's head kind of looks like a dog face.
