I don't make the models - I am ONLY a programmer. If I HAD made the models they would be a lot worse. Just be glad they HAVE models.
I think maybe he was asking me, though he didn't quote either of us
I can't do any armor type models
The program I'm using is really only for block models

basically if you want the powers of the phazon suit but wanna look like you are wearing something else, this mod is great! even replicates the morph ball mode!
also, another thing i think would be a nice tweak would be having the gravity suit upgrade would negate the slowdown of things like soul sand and prevent slipping on ice.
either the gravity suit or the speed booster. owo
also. hoping someone makes the models for the fusion suits. i say this because in metroid prime 1, through a secret of linking the game with fusion, you unlock the ability to play as samus in the fusion suit, and upgrading the suit changes the fusion suit skins appearance to its respective fusion counter part. with the phazon suit being replaced with the unnamed suit at the end of fusion.
because i kinda like the fusion suit in terms of design. that and makes samus look more like the games namesake.
speaking of, are mobs being worked on?
and while were on the topic of things to add. with the grappling beam.
i've been playing some of the zelda sword skills mod (it is excellent, by the way) and one thing i loved with the fact that the "long multishot" can be latched to anywhere. even sand. now... i know you said no to the grappling hook doing that, but i'd still like an option to zip around on almost any block using the grappling beam. notice how i said option. it can be turned on/off in the config.
anyway, great mod. it is really making me feel like samus aran <3
something i noticed is the fact the dark and light suits don't resist heat. even though they are still upgrades for the varia suit (in prime 2, the varia suit is what samus starts in)
I mean, there are no superheated areas in prime 2, but due to the fact that the light and dark suits are obtained through the varia suit, wouldnt that make them immune to superheated areas?
also, there is no lava in prime 2, but i think the gravity booster could still make you immune to lava.
also also, there are such liquids that even the gravity suit can't defend against,
ie the superheated magma found deep in norfair, new torian, and the surface of crateria.... and the green stuff found in old torian in zero mission after you defeat mother brain.

just sayin'.
1. They don't? are you sure?
2. No, since the gravity booster is actually just a back-mounted jet
3. those are not part of prime and therefore not included in this mod.

no, they don't. i put on the light suit in the nether and i still take damage.
in metroid prime 2 you START in the varia suit.but, there are no superheated areas in prime 2. but, since the dark and light suit are both upgrades of the varia suit, it would make sense if they made you immune to heated areas.
also. prime 4 was just announced. you excited for what it might bring for this mod?
and one last thing: any new features you are working on? you've been silent for a while.
I mean, i heard you are working on the spider ball. i am wondering how that would work? I mean, sure, it could work like how in prime did, where you would only be able to stick to tracks, but.... some upgrades in this mod are NOT like how they were in prime at all, and instead work more like how they did in 2d games.
like how the gravity suit blocks lava damage, the space jump can be used indefinitely, the screw attack can be activated easily, or the fact that the speed booster isnt even in the prime games. i'd hate for things like the spider ball to be situational, which is why i'm hoping it can stick to any surface. maybe it could run on its own energy that depletes when you use it on any surface that isnt a track?
and yah. i still wish there be an option for the grapple beam to stick to any surface and allow you to swing from any surface. i mean, metroid makes some upgrades situational. and i don't like that. i mean. what is more fun: grappling from predetermined points, or using the grapple beam to save yourself from a dip in lava even the gravity suit won't save you from? or to grab onto a ledge and pull yourself up like how you could in smash bros? little things like that would make this mod a lot more fun. and yeah, i still think there could be a seperate type of lava or liquid that the gravity suit won't protect from, like the magmoor caverns would have.
also effects don't seem to be working for me on the 1.10 version.
i have extended shaders enabled and i dont have optifine. but the shaders don't show up. nor do effects like screw attacking or speed boosting show.
in fact, the update broke the 1.7 version of the shaders too. and the command visor crashes the game.

apologies, ES removed a varying identifier in favor of a built-in one and I need to update the MC3 shaders to match - this is why all the post-processors still work.
the spider ball WILL require tracks, and the grapple beam WILL require grapple points. I am NOT open to debate on this.
And I will fix the suits as soon as possible.
I found all suits in 1.7.10 version don't reduce damage at all.
Also, how about enabling to mount PED to GF suit like federation PED marine in prime 3?
that's extremely odd, considering it's VANILLA damage code (since the suits have to run out of energy before it comes out of health).
Also, there WILL be a PED marine suit, probably not useful for survival but could be useful for adventure maps or rp's.
Well I took a long break from Minecraft, but the announcement of Prime 4 and Samus Returns reminded me of this mod and I wanted to come back and see how things were doing. They look like they're working well.
I'm hoping the announcement brings a couple new people willing to work on a mod like this...

I was kinda hoping that myself, but so far nothing's really changed. Eh.
Oh, I had an idea. Make Chozo Ore just a bit rarer, and add some more on to the Federation suit. For example PED, which allows you to use a weaker version of Hypermode that requires you to have liquid phazon in your hotbar or something. Make the suit a little more useful.
A new 1.7.10 version is out, and this one requires you to download a new BGM pack, due to the addition of a JLayer-powered sound engine that plays sounds with an unlooped beginning section and a looping middle section.
Wow now this is fixed
Thank you very much Mr. FirEmerald!
it's because in 1.7.10 armor reduction is based off of the damage value of the armor in relation to the max damage. unbreakable armor has a max damage of 0, leading the computation to always assume the armor cannot reduce damage anymore as there was no check for it. To fix it I had to implement ISpecialArmor and use tweaked versions of the vanilla code.

i could probably do it but i make lots of Blocks and Item textures
so... any progress report? like... things that are being worked on?
also. i found a cosmetic armor mod for minecraft. i'm going to see if it works with this mod. o3o
might i ask for some compatibility with this mod if it doesnt?

edit: never mind! works flawlessly with this mod.

So I wasn't crazy..
So here's another exam with ENERGY, not vanilla damage.
Same difficulty(hard), same enemy(zombie), same number of times damaged(three), same number of zombie(one) and same suit(phazon).
I have noticed that I've been dying pretty quickly even with more than a few tanks. Like a creeper explosion will take out several tanks.

well pixelmon just died.
not even mods are safe from nintendos lawyers.

All UIs get dark without helmets. Is this a bug or a feature?
