that's a shame - that means this mod is not compatible with the version of optifine you were using.
maybe not it could've been a combination of the graphic issue you were mentioning and optifine as it wasn't a constant issue it was fine for the longest time then the issue started and its been that way since when I get a chance I'm going to try out another version of optifine and see what happens
Version 0.2B and all it's sub-versions were not server-compatible. They still work on LAN worlds.
As such, a preview version for 0.3B has been released - download it if you plan on using this mod on a server.
I'd actually recommend using the Tabula mod, from iChun. Techne is known to be messy at times, and has some features which are too outdated to function with current versions of Minecraft. Tabula, on the other hand, works in-game, allowing you to test model changes and animations in-world. It's much more dynamic and useful.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
This is really cool. I've been wondering when/if somebody would ever do this for minecraft. I'd LOVE to build metroid style maps etc.
I'm surprised to learn that there's been two previous iterations of this mod as well.
Trouble is, the 0.3 link seems to be blocked by mediafire and the other two won't redirect properly... Might I suggest using a different host? Get a few mirror links up maybe. Mediafire is notorious for shutting downloads down.
If I get the time to make some models I will pitch in as well. I already started on making some MP1 space pirate models; however I created them in Techne so I will probably need to redo them if they aren't compatible with the version of MC.
