With the current pre release, there were only a few blocks added. I haven't had the chance to release a new version with the blocks I've added over the past couple weeks. That and there are some new blocks that have some model issues that need fixed.
As for the wires:
Like Rico said, those are added by Industrial Wires/Immersive engineering. I'll add some more clear installation instructions when I can, but I've been very busy the past few weeks.
Basically, the mod works with other mods (in this case Immersive Engineering and Industrial Wires) to provide the structures for wires to be carried on. It doesn't actually add wires. Even if I was able to add wires, I'd rather have another mod add them that is compatible with various energy transport mods, so the powerlines are actually able to carry energy and have function. If Ferdinand from FVTM ever decides to add energy and wires, at that point I would work with him to add wires, cables, transformers, etc, but that's a very far way off and may never happen.
To add wires, install these mods with my Powerline Pack:
-Immersive Engineering (required for Industrial Wires to work, compatibility with IE wires is planned)
-Industrial Wires (wires and insulators currently compatible, and insulators are textured invisible with the resource pack included with the addon download)
To actually install wires, place down a relay (LV relay I believe) and use copper or tin wire. Place down two relays, one on each structure (per conductor), and then take the wire and select each insulator. Max I believe is 1028 blocks as the crow flies.
So quick update on transformers, one of the big things the first version of this mod was lacking. I have found a system to add them that I think will work fairly nicely.
With transformers, there are a ton of different sizes, but generally they rely on one of two (technically three, but I'm not adding the third) mounting options. That would be dimension "E" in the table. Currently I have 4 kVA sizes (left columns), a couple more to come. There are 3 brackets for transformer banks (two or three units connected together), the old style (fits the 11.25" and 23.25" mounting options), the new style light duty (11.25"), and the new style heavy duty (23.25/24"). These brackets are placed where the pole block was, replacing it. Transformers are then placed wherever you want them on the bracket. For single units placed on the pole or for the center transformer on the old unit (left most in the screenshot), you'd use a standard transformer. For the new style brackets (right two in the screenshot) or for the outer transformers on the old unit, you'd use a "Cluster mounted transformer." Pretty simple and reduces the number of transformers I have to add, as already its gonna be a lot to be accurate. I know most people won't use all these units, but for those who want to be accurate as possible, they'll be there for you to use. I might also add a guide on where to use what transformer... if i have time.
And yes, I'm trying to get the next update ready. 170 blocks worth of content just takes a minute to finish...
Crickey. Btw if any is having this issue with the wire length per pole being way to short you change it in the config of the Mod industrial wires. If that doesn't work then go into the config under your Minecraft folder and change the numbers in industrial wires. So for example this can now be possible with the new values you put in. Note the default for some of the wires is 16 which in my opinion was way to short.
Hello so i download the texture and the mod (newest one that you just brang out with the transformars and i got all the new stuff but there is two other tabs but they are called transmission and substation but there is no icon for it or any items in it
I haven't check it out yet but they said transmission and substation would come later. I assume it is simply a placeholder for later when that part is released
This is a massive update. Very happy with the 69kV stuff added into the update. Awesome work. Something that came up however was that the relay's that were rendered invisible in the last update are no longer invisible.

Placeholders for future blocks. Hopefully I'll add some to both next update.

Relays should be affected by the resource pack, not the mod. Do you still have the resource pack installed?

I'm hoping to get a new version released shortly, currently the pole mount transformer models need updated and the lang file needs some work.
I dont get how to get them wired?

Alright thank you i will try it out

New release should be coming up later, curseforge rejected it as a "duplicate." I'll try and fix when I get time tonight.
Updates out,
curse actually worked for once.-GEP is no longer a dependency
-Creative tabs added
-New crossarm system implemented
-Legacy crossarms are no longer visible in inventory
-New insulators added for distribution
-Transformers and brackets added
-Disconnects and reclosers added
-Subtransmission insulators added
-Pole models updated
-Steel H frame arm added
-H frame insulators added
-Secondary and neutral standoffs added
-Laminated poles added
-Individual pole segments not visible in inventory
Make sure you have the most recent version of FVTM, or else you'll be met with 170 blocks+ all in one creative tab.

I never did. The first release just had that. Is there a link for it? Sorry
Edit: Found the link
Plans for the next update:
Bold items are in the testing run environment, ready to go.
Italic items are modeled but have not been implemented in game.
Normal items haven't been modeled. Note- many of these items will be fairly easy to model, as they are just modified existing models.
Will this include construction like the underbuilds on this 69kV line?
That's definitely something I could add. Do you know what size crossarm they use on that underbuild? Looks like an 8' maybe?
I believe so. It may be smaller so don't quote me in that
Ill send a picture later with a 69kV 11' inch crossarm for scale if that helps
Added. I feel like that's about as close as it'll get within the constraints of the wire locations.
