Can you show us some of the models you've made? And having a biology minded person on the team alongside a mc modding skill is something we like to have on the team.
as for the models, I can probably show u guys some of them...(P.s. I use Techne) And as for the other thing.... Yahhhh I would love to help the team out just ask me what u want to know for a mob or AI system and I'll tell u what u need to know
here are some of my models... i know they are not as good as JC but it was the best i can do with techne
this is what they are
Raptor
Tyrannosaur
Diictodon
Gorgonopsid
i am completely open and encourage constructive criticism
They look pretty good! Ill forward it to the other team members. We do use tabula instead of techne, but usually there are few issues when transitioning.
Actually, I love biology as well. (Hence my username.)
I'll be here from time to time if you need help with:
Taxonomy and classification, binomial names, genetics, reproduction, cytology, micro and macroevolution, or just regular ol' ethology.
I'm here for you guys.
Note: I also do a bit of electromagnetism.
Nice! Bio-nerds unite! And also, you might like one of the new mods our team will start working on soon, involving alllll of electromagnetism (spoiler!)

ok i have a few questions... number one is Tabula free?

well now that I know what you guys use, I bet I can produce far better work... Due to the limits of Techne everything was far from correct size and I wasn't able to do all the details that I wanted to... But if I get Tabula and have the resources you guys have I bet I can make models close or on par with the ones from JC... I'm not trying to sound errogent or full of my self, I just really want to help you guys with the mod... And be part of somthing greater, but just keep in mind I only really good at "Reptilian" like models I can do other stuff but u guys can probably do a better job with mammals and other stuff. my specialty is crocodilians...
New content is in the works for EC as well, including TONS of work on Animal models.
Will you have prints for the models... Because I think it works for JC but idk if it will work well for EC so I think instead of blueprints you should have the models in field guid form like the ones from ARK survival evolved
I would like to ask something regarding compatibility with other mods.. especially water mob mods (Mo'creatures, Fantasticfish, Fossils and Archaeology),
will "Saltwater" and "Freshwater" affect the spawns of these mobs. I really want this mod in a private mod pack, but I need to know the answer. Other than this I think this mod is amazing, and I would love to see an alpha release. -a123b23, or Ryan
P.S. Will this be like the Eco Survival game, where when you leave the world, animals still move and the world is still changing, even without your presence..

Yes we have begun working on examples that we might use/adjust for all animals. Check out the Deviant Art!

We have made forge liquids for both finite and infinite versions of multiple types of water. Minecraft vanilla water is treated by EC as saltwater.
To the best of my knowledge, there should be no compatibility problems, unless those mods are completely dependent on "vanilla water" in their code. However, vanilla water exists in EcoCraft so it should work just fine, however I cant obviously speak for "all mods".
There will eventually be an EcoCraft API that will allow any modder to use EcoCraft code functions such as the "living/dying/growing" biology code, the AI system, Genetics, etc.
This will be in some ways an "Eco Survival Game". Say you leave a chunk, and come back to it 20 mc days later, it will (in as best as possible) simulate the 20 days.
On a server, time will obviously be continuous and you can setup certain chunks to be loaded in the game at all times, effectively allowing everything to run without a players presence.

Exactly, I would say all animals will be affected by this general change, so the difference in size between animals is still be relatively same. Where all "small" animals are the same "small" and equally bigger than their real world sources.

Thanks for the support. Hopefully sooner rather than later!
Hey were back!
Check out our new feature that spawns item in the overworld!
Yaaaaaaay the forum is back open 😄😄😄😄😄😄
what happened why did it shut down?
I think it had something to do with the Jurassicraft thread (that is still locked) and some "commotion" that was caused there.
However work on our end hasn't stopped. We made a new website for both JC and EC.

Yes, it will be very difficult to port back to 1.7.10 and we barely have enough resources to move forward at a decent pace.

You should also add a lot of tropical fish, so clownfish, blue fang, moorish idol.
Also are all the animals going to be on natural scale?

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
A lot of very small animals will be bigger than they are in nature, simply because it would be silly to have very tiny mobs.
We plan to add a ton of fish and also make the aquatic ecosystem alongside the land.
