an you please link me to your GitHub so that I can download the files to set it up in my forge environment?

Uhm... What..? I'm confused on what you want... I'm sorry, I'm, as I've said, still new to this.

nsanity, who is actually leading this project? if you want to then surely you need at least some experience/knowledge? I know it is your idea and you created this thread but you need a little more experience before you start a mod.

A Minecraft mod is a lot of work and requires good Java knowledge, my simple Buxton mod I made had 19 classes and in total over 300 lines of Java and all it did was add 4 items and a few debufs.



Read up on a few tutorials and get a basic understanding, even if it is just so you understand me when I ask about GitHub, or a class or for example a function.

I have researched into mod making. I've watched plenty of videos, (as that's my preferred way of learning, and I need visuals to learn) and not once have I heard of GitHub. I have a basic understanding of mods, and I don't know much about coding because honestly it's not my kind of thing. But certainly the more creative things like modeling and texturing are my kind of thing.



Plus, from the way I read it, you're basically saying that I need more experience in modding but I shouldn't mod unless I have experience in modding. That's an impossible thing! You can't just magically have experience in something without doing it.



I'd also like to point out that this is a team mod, meaning I don't need to know everything about everything. I'm not saying I don't need to know nothing about mods to start a project, which you certainly do, I'm saying that because it's a team effort the people who work on modeling shouldn't have to know absolutely everything about coding for them to be able to model. But they still need to know at least a fair amount of coding so that they know the coders can code their model properly, because coding is what makes the models do what they're supposed to do.



You see, I do know at least a fair amount about modding.



I'd also like to know if your comment (which I have quoted above.) was supposed to come off rude? Or angry, or whatever? Because that's kind of how I read it, like you thought I was stupid for wanting to try modding. Or like you were angry because apparently I know nothing about mods...

Also, there are no shared files yet. We haven't gotten that far yet, we're focusing on the animals as of now. So once the models are done and are ready for coding I'm guessing we'll need to have them downloadable? I'm not 100% sure on how coding models work exactly. That's what I was going to look into so I knew how to do the whole coding the model part. I'm sorry that I didn't look into the coding part that much... But modding can be a trial and error type thing so you should expect this to happen... Especially when you're new.

.-. I typed up some responses and now they aren't even showing up. T-T I posted them, I know that for sure... Can you guys see them? They were showing up but then I closed my browser because I had to go and now I come to check for replies and their gone...
I'll have to re-type them I guess... But I don't have anytime right now. .-. As it is I shouldn't be checking for replies. :T

They're showing up now. Must have been my computer being a hunk of junk. xD Thanks for being nice about everything ShaowWarrior, people aren't always that nice to me. Oh, and no worries about thinking I didn't know much about modding. I didn't really explain that I had researched into it, so I guess it was kind of my fault actually. Sorry about that... I also thought about how my comment probably came out a bit rude, so I also apologize for that too.



Anyway, I'll have to read up or watch some videos about GitHub as you've said. But I can't right now, I have to go (again...). I'm so much more busy today, it's kind of strange... Anywho, I won't be back for a while so bye for now.

There shouldn't be, we won't be adding any biomes. So I don't think anything would cause them not to be compatible...

Welcome to the team! I've gotten a few buildings done but I was thinking that we should make a few variations of them, I'm unsure though what do you think? I've decided to make a rank system for the pet stores, there are 4 ranks in total. So what needs to be built are:

1. A vet for sick pets(Un sure if this will be actually added to the mod or not)

2. A 3rd rank pet store

and finally

3. Variations of the other ranked buildings

Alright, I've been kinda busy lately. Mostly because I have school, my Cresty to care for AND I'm also a plushie maker and I have a new pattern in development, so I'll be sewing quite a bit to make sure it works. I'm trying my best to get everything done, so I might not get a whole lot done in the next few days when it comes to modding. School is so overwhelming...
