Are you planning on implementing a princess? Like in EVERY dragon tale? A princess which can be captured for a ransom or to lure knights in your home. Or make deals whith villages where they send you people in exchange of you not attacking the village.

We do plan some nobles (not sure what that will be). You will be able to collect ransom for them. No idea how this will work yet or when we might do it. It is not in the release that is coming out soon (The More Dragons Release) and won't be in the one after that (The Dragon's Lair Release). Sorry.
Dagon here, I just downloaded your mod a couple of days ago, and can I say, Wow! I had hours of fun with it, reenacting the evil dragon stereotype by absolutely annihilating every settlement I came across. However after playing I read you changelog, and was confused. There were things written there I had not seen in the mod itself. The big one was the Fire Dragons, or lack of them I should say, the only "dragon" I ever came across were the loveable yet derpy little Creeper Dragons the floated off the ground. I traveled for hours coming across village after town after city yet not one Fire Dragon was sighted. On another note, I'm pretty sure you are aware of this, but Crossbows and Longbows are indeed in the game. I've fought several guardsmen that personally tried to kill me with both weapons, and have looted several of both types myself. Your wiki states otherwise, and your changelog doesn't mention it except for the earlier version of the mod. Other than those two small problems, Fantastic mod, keep it up!
p.s. perhaps nerfing the dragon types Terra, Aurum, and Mortis would be good, theyz gotz no disadvantagez...

I strive to build a Mechanical Dragon... It isn't going well.
Yes, the wiki might be a bit confusing because it documents everything in the mod for the version in test (we have a private build for testers). Of course you can become a tester too if you pm me. Also I agree the change log is confusing, but I don't write that
In the wiki it will say FUTURE FEATURE or FUTURE RELEASE. i updated the section about the long bow and cross bow being dropped when killing guards.
We will have another release soon. We have one of our team members in summer school (the good kind), so it is taking a bit longer for this release than the last too.
Ookay, thanks for the offer, but I don't believe I want to be a tester at the moment. If you need one, ask away, but if you don't then I'm good. However if it does speed up the release then I'd happily help any way I can.

Draco Acadius: dragon of the pines (forest dragon)
Normally a large, green dragon with a hooked beak, with foliage growing on it. Can't turn invisible, but can become transparent. Shoots venomous acid from its mouth, which will break wooden and cobblestone blocks, and inflict poison 2 and nausea on a mob. When low on health, the acadius dragon can apply the wither's heal affect to itself. This will make a shiny aura around the dragon and give it regeneration 2 until the dragon is either fully healed, or dies. Also gets saturation when it is raining and when in water. The downside to being this dragon is that fire damage is lethal, and does more damage than usual; fire does damage even if you have fire protection. In the desert, the acadius dragon will have hunger 2 and be slower.

Let me know what you think
Sounds interesting. We are just about ready to release, so too late to consider for the next release. We will have 8 dragons in this next release. Besides more dragons, we have also added an online wiki book. You will need to have Enchiridion 2 installed to read the book. All we have left is to add a few sounds, finish the book, and do a final round of testing.
We do have some similar stuff to what you mention above in some of the new dragons. The Earth dragon can break blocks. The Fire dragon has regeneration. Silver dragon can poison. We have some that can become invisible, but not transparent. Not sure exactly what that would do. We have a Water dragon that can spit water when in the water. I hope you will like the dragons we do have, they are pretty interesting
None have any problem with fire. We toyed with that idea, but it seems pretty fundamental to dragons, that they are immune to fire, so we made all of them immune to fire and able to throw fire balls
Today is that day we all have been waiting for since the last release. Later today I will release the mod for everyone to play. It features new dragons, dragon abilities and a staff for each dragon to toggle human or dragon form and their different abilities.
For more details check out the for more details check out the wiki

We will have a Rendering Release soon. So please don't ask about the hitboxes or anything else related to rendering.
Ok, so I've downloaded the new version, and no matter what I do, i keep starting as a dragon. Just letting you guys know.
So the first version you always started as a dragon, so that will be the default if you've played before. You need to go into the configuration for Draco Animus (we have a GUI, no need to edit the file) and change to start as a human. If you'd never played the mod before, you would default to starting as a human.

Ok, that worked. Thanks! And yeah, I've been using this mod since 0.1.0.
If you're looking for an experienced coder, I would recommend asking FuzzyAcornindustries if he can join in making the mod. He has some really good animating skills, and he has his own mod that he works on regularly. You should see if he's interested!
Okay, hav'en a little trouble here. Started off as Human, just got a boatload of eggs,(might want to change the default egg spawn chance), put a Golden Dragon egg in my hoard, got the staff, put over a stack of gold in the hoard. Used the staff, and nothing happened. All I got was a text saying, "Silly human, only dragons have powers." Tried it with silver and night, no go, a little help please. And sorry if I'm being stupid and there's a super easy fix.

No problem, we have several good testers, we are good. Just want to provide the opportunity to anyone that can't get enough dragons
Thanks for the feedback though, and feel free to comment more about any ideas or things you see in the mod.

Here is an idea for a future dragon:

This seems like a really good mod and I can't wait until it is complete. One question though;are the models final?
also,is there a way to change between human and dragon?
For now the models are final. At some point (when we get a coder who is good at rendering and animating) we will redo the rendering and animations.
Yes. Using the staff you can change in between human and dragon.
If you're looking for an experienced coder, I would recommend asking FuzzyAcornindustries if he can join in making the mod. He has some really good animating skills, and he has his own mod that he works on regularly. You should see if he's interested!
