Maybe... The problem is in the map, that's for sure, so try to uninstall Biomes O' Plenty, if it works then you know, it's a conflict.

HELP! I've been able to put the leash on my dog but I can't get it off! No matter how many times I right-click on my collared dog with the leash on it won't come off. How do I do it? (sorry for double post).

I have a couple of thoughts for possible additions. I think you should consider adding Grayhounds. They are one of the oldest breeds of dogs. The ancient Egyptians hunted with them. They have been immortalized in the paintings, wall relief carvings and sculptures of this ancient civilization.
My other suggestion is to have groupings of dogs similar to those of AKC (American Kennel Club). They divide dogs breeds into various classes based on breed characteristics. For instance, Herding, Sporting, Working, Toys, Hounds, and Non- Sporting. Herding dogs guard livestock and help farmers guide groups of livestock (sheep, goats, cows, even ducks). Working breeds such as Dobermans and Mastiffs are used for protection and defence. Sporting breeds such as Beagles, Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Pointers help hunters. There is a lot of overlap between these classes too. German Shepherds are used for protection and herding. Jack Russels are a small breed used also used for hunting. They are nick named "Earth dogs" because they will enter tunnels to continue their hunt underground.
You could have an MCKC (Minecraft Kennel Club) and register dogs. You can have skill sets for a leveling system. Dogs could earn levels by hunting, tracking, guarding, herding etc: Dogs would become characters in Minecraft!
Since we're currently working on personalization to all the dogs, we're thinking about adding a way to see your dogs stats. We have different ideas, but the main one right now is a dog analyzer item which allows you to see stats, per example how aggressive they are, how much energy they have and their health. Maybe you should be able to rename it using the dog analyzer too.
What do you guys think? After all, this mod is for you, the users, so we want your feedback and thoughts on features we're planning. Do you like the idea of the dog analyzer? Have you got a better idea? Let us know!

I have another idea to add. Have you considered having a Veterinarian or an animal hospital? Dogs could receive "vaccines", potions to prevent disease, poisonings, certain types of injuries. They could also be healed from the same issues if vaccines were not given or expired. Enhancements could also be offered such as speed, strength, increased jumping ability, fire-proofing and, breathing underwater. Another additions could be cloning your dog or changing your dog's breed or coat color. For example, Dobermans have several color varieties. There is the traditional black and tan, red, blue, fawn and white.
