Version 0.6.1 has been released (download in original post). It contains fixes for NEI, Vengeance Spirits, Blood Stained Blocks and the Blood Chest.
Also contains an update to the Russian translations thanks to Adaptivity!
Feature Suggestion: flowing poison blocks convert adjacent water source blocks into poison sources. Only flowing poison rather than source poison to prevent runaway mass-conversions of an ocean biome. Alternatively, throwing a poison sac into a water source block turns it into a poison source.
Lifesteal is enough to basically make someone unkillable, healing 3-5 hearts per hit no matter what combination of weapon or enemy or enchant itself, is this the intended behavior? Even lifesteal 1 on a wooden sword, while wearing no armor, allows me to fight a group of 6 angry zombie pigmen without dying and tanking every hit possible.

That definitely sounds like something that needs fixing/nerfing. Will take a look at it, thanks for the comment.
I was trying to do a xp and blood farm with some animals, spikes and the sanguinary pedestal, but it is not clear how it works. I put the Dark tank in all the possible positions but it never fills. Only work with pipes from Buildcraft?
The pedestal should fill all tanks/pipes underneath it. There however seems to be an issue with Dark Tank filling with some Forge versions which I am currently investigating, a fix will hopefully come soon. Your best bet for now is to just use pipes like for example the Buildcraft ones.

Bugfix update 0.6.4 is out: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/74610-evilcraft/files/2218422
Fixes small things related to the Exalted Crafter, Spirit Furnace and the Dark Tank.
Also introduces a few new small features like disabling machines with redstone
And the Spirit Furnace recipes are made a whole lot easier, they were a bit too expensive.
Does this mod works on multiplayer? I want to add it in my private modded server cause it's so awesome and unique !
It certainly does work in multiplayer! It is even advised to be played in multiplayer to optimally make use of some of the evil gadgets like the Necromancer Staff.

Could you update the crafting recipe for Dark Brick on the first page?
FYI: It took me several hours to figure out that it is actually: a Dark Block, empty corners, other 4 spaces filled with Stone Bricks.
I'm liking this mod, it is really cool, but I am having a few other problems:
The Box of External Closure gets in a mode where the lid is open and when I try to add spirits to it, they just escape.
There doesn't seem to be any way to put blood in a Dark Tank without another mod installed (known issue). So have been using blood buckets, but they don't store much. I may just change the amount the Blood Infuser will hold in the config file, as a workaround for now.
I have now created the Dark Blood Bricks that I need. I put these in a crafting table, put the Blood Infusion Core in the center, but nothing happens. This should create a Spirit Furnace. And then I can build the actual Spirit Furnace, the mult-block one, but I can't get past the single block version.

Thanks.
Well again, I eventually figured this out. Again the recipe needs to be updated. It is the same pattern as making the Dark Blood Brick, to make the Spirit Furnace, but in this case the center item is the Blood Infusion Core and the other 4 blocks are the Dark Blood Brick.
I also managed to catch some spirits in the Box of External Close. If you are stuck, PM me, otherwise I don't want to spoil it for you

Glad you figured it out, and indeed some recipes related to the Spirit Furnace have changed in 0.6.4. I seem to have forgotten to update the recipes in this thread, I'll do it asap.
For your note on the Dark Tank, you can actually fill it with Blood using the Blood Infuser, you can also place the Dark Tank (with Blood) in the left-most slot of the Blood Infuser to drain it to the Blood Infuser.
And just on a general note, in-game support for the mod will be added eventually, with for example a clear guide on how to construct your Spirit Furnace. But that might take a while, since I have so much other stuff in the works for this mod.
No matter what I do I can't get the spirit furnace to work. I finish building it it lights up but I can't interact with it. Version 0.6.4b is what is installed. Added to ATlauncher natural magic mod pack.

Edit1: This is with the latest version of EvilCraft, plus 320~ other mods.

Looks like some debugging info slipped into the build...
Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix it right away.
Glad I could help.

Edit: Apparently another 0.6.3 update was required...
As of version 0.6.0 blood cells are deprecated, you can now use the Dark Tanks. They do the same as the cells, and more.

Yay happy to hear that!
