I have a suggestion for nodes. Since some people want to play without relying on anything beyond a tree and a block of dirt, I think you should have to get... creative.
Now, let's talk salis mundus. It is a special substance that is crafted from either mana beans or ethereal essence, which make up aura nodes. Because of this, it isn't beyond reason that mana beans have traces of aura in them. I think you could figure out a way to extract this essence from the beans. However, since there is not much in a bean, you will need quite a bit of them to get a decent amount of aura. If you break apart 8 mana beans by detabalizing them with some salis mundus, (POC recipe would be 8 mana beans surrounding salis mundus and requiring a decent amount of perdito) then you get enough ethereal essence to gather into a stable form. Any less than that, and it just fades off into the atmosphere.
Now that you have a way to get wispy essence, you can go about making an aura node. This process isn't easy, but if you're determined, it is possible. What you need to do is put the ethereal essence in a jar. But you can't do this in a normal crafting table, and even an arcane workbench won't do. You have to infuse them, so the essences go straight into the jar instead of stuffing them in and hoping for the best. This infusion costs 8 ethereal essence, one warded jar, and some aurum, fabrico, and some of each primal aspect. When this is complete, you should have yourself a brand new node in a jar.
Keep in mind that mana beans can be farmed in taint biomes, and even if you have flux causing taint off, you can still make a tainting machine by causing the gaseous flux to go to a creeper, preferably poisoned, which will kill the creeper and replace it with a tainted creeper. When that tainted creeper explodes, it will leave a few blocks of taint biome behind. Once can also charge their wands off of monsters pretty easily with a mob trap.
As for the ethereal essence recipe, I think it would make the purest form of ethereal essence one could get. It would craft an aurum ethereal essence.

I like where you're going, and have some thoughts.
The primal charm should be involved in the chain. It's moderately expensive but not out of reach before silverwood. It's already connected to aura in Thaumcraft lore, and requires salis mundus.
I really like where you've gone with pure ethereal essences, meaning there's a way to get Auram and we can thus require Auram for the infusion, so I suggest substitute your ethereal essence recipe with: 1 primal charm surrounded by salis mundus, with Perditio to break the charm open and Ordo to purify and reform it into ethereal essence gives 4 ethereal essence [quantity open to balance consideration].
Personally, I'd want to target the difficulty setting where the node in a jar contains no aspects when placed in the world, so is only usable for making silverwood.
An alternative idea if you wanted to be able to create usable nodes directly at this stage: modify the essence recipe by substituting 4 shards for 4 of the salis mundus, add a hefty cost in that primal aspect, halve the output, and get ethereal essence of that aspect. For the infusion, add a whole bunch of the appropriate primal essentia to the cost, and get a normal node with a capacity of either 16 or 32 of the appropriate primal aspect.
[Note: I prefer salis mundus to mana beans for the recipes for flavor reasons. My half-written write-up of the similar suggestion had been going to infuse one of each crystal and a warded jar into a primal charm, but I like your idea of the ethereal essences better.]
I have made a 'great wall of sandstone slabs' stacked into full blocks.. and smashed away... not a single shard.
I have at last managed to brag the magical crops seed from watering grass for tall grass and braking that, and planting it enough times, to get the rare chanse of essense to make earth seeds, so I now have a means to get all the dirt I need (cheep I know :P) that + watering can near a grass block speeds up spread... and... nada from breaking all those either.
How rare are they? am I really having that kind of bad luck?
Also the config file to regenerate nodes and such has never worked for me :/ I tell it true and it don't add anything to the world.

Rare enough that if you were trying to figure out which block it is you might give up and move on, not so rare as you seem to be describing. I definitely don't have numbers, but going through a whole stack of one of the block types with nothing would make me wonder if there were some sort of configuration problem.
Stupid questions: you do have both Thaumcraft and Ex Aliquo installed as well as Ex Nihilo, right?
The nodes which appear in a void world are about 3 blocks above the void due to the way Thaumcraft tries to place nodes near ground level/in caves. Did you check way down at y=3?

Nodes generate near the bottom of the world in void worlds.

I forgot about the charm, but I agree. To make ethereal essence, it should be the primal charm, not the salis mundus. The bits of essence in the mana beans combine with the primal aspects of the charm, making an essence that, when used for node creation, can generate and contain any aspect.
Where balance is concerned, I think the aura node recipe is fine the way it is. In order to get one node, you will need 64 mana beans and 8 primal charms, not to mention the aspects required. The fact that it's an infusion recipe means it can't be reliably automated, and makes the player have to work for the nodes. With a silverwood sapling, you have an infinite amount of nodes at your disposal, while only having to do infusion to get the node in a jar and for the sapling itself. After that, you can use crooks on the leaves and have easy access to all the nodes you could possibly need.
Also note that the infusion recipe would (if possible) require aurum essences. You could not use any other wispy essence, as they would cause the node to become unstable and potentially create a rift in the fabric of the universe. This means that you can't farm wisps that spawn from nodes to get more nodes. You have to either make your own or get insanely lucky and find an aurum wisp.
The problem with Silverwood farms is that it is entirely possible to not get a single sapling drop even with using Golden Crooks on every leaf. And I'm okay with that because it requires more trolling by Pechs or more Withers :V. And the whole thing about getting a node isn't guaranteed with Silverwoods, as well.
Flat-out giving guaranteed access to a node, however, isn't something I'm currently comfortable with doing. That doesn't mean I havn't been entertaining the thought. I do have an idea or two about how to go about giving the player nodes, but my main thought is that any guaranteed node will be negative in some way by default, and some way to change those into positive nodes. I also have an idea for a guaranteed positive node without the extra steps, but ... well..... the Silverwood farm method for direct positive nodes is going to require less Withers, but also less Senketsu.
The optional tweak I finished earlier was enough of a pain in the butt that I'm going to take a break from Thaum stuff and add some things for other stuff for a bit. That should give me time to decide on the node creation, I feel
Flat-out giving guaranteed access to a node, however, isn't something I'm currently comfortable with doing
Yeah, this was why I proposed a node-in-a-jar that creates an empty node if actually placed into the world as one of the alternatives. It would allow bootstrapping of the silverwood process without having to force TC to generate nodes at the void and farm the void, which just feels....weird to me. On my end that's the part where the TC part of the mod feels slightly incomplete, although the rest would be really cool.
It might be interesting if the simple node creation generates hungry nodes every time. You can infuse it into a sapling fine, but you have to be the right combination of mad, clever, and knowledgable in Thaumaturgy if you want to try to use it directly as a node. Plus recipes requiring silverwood (saplings?), expense, and effort to make moderately-useful regular nodes...
But yeah, work on what inspires you and is doable. I hope our bouncing around ideas doesn't come across as suggesting you need to do it our way/on our schedule.
Nah, I like hearing ideas. Ideas are what make the world go round. Granted, most of the times I'm inspired to do something has absolutely nothing to do with an idea I've heard, but that's beside the point >_>
I changed the config to spawn a node every 7 chunks, there everywhere, at the bottom of the world. Good that I can find them now and recharge the wand, bad is that sometimes their not friendly nodes.
if your looking for it in the config its about 1/2 way down and goes like this.
# How rare nodes are in the world. The number means there will be (on average) one node per N chunks.
I:node_rarity=7

Ooooo. Derp. I accidentally already fixed that in the next version. It's due to ExtraTIC only being dependant on TConstruct. I thought it also depended on Metallurgy >_>
::EDIT:: I have made up my mind for node creation. I won't make a way to create nodes. I just learned that Thaumcraft already has that outside of Silverwoods. But the node "upgrading" thing, I may keep under consideration

I never did manage to get that way to work in my test world...I'll have to try again sometime; I didn't get a response when I inquired on the TC thread. Just a heads-up that while it slots well into the ExA progression, it might be *too* rare. (Or it's possible I missed a detail on how it works...I really like the idea of using that if it works.)
Can I request a bridge for Pam's Harvest Craft? It seems to crash the game whenever I have i use both mods together. I might be wrong however, so i'll be leaving the crash report here:

I hope our bouncing around ideas doesn't come across as suggesting you need to do it our way/on our schedule.
if your looking for it in the config its about 1/2 way down and goes like this.
# How rare nodes are in the world. The number means there will be (on average) one node per N chunks.
I:node_rarity=7

I have multiple Skyblock worlds, and I'm proud of it.

Could you supply a full crashlog, modlist included?
the crash is from not having the mod Metallurgy
is there a way to make mod enabled or disabled in config
cuz as far as i know not one mod pack with skyblock has this mod in it
::EDIT:: I have made up my mind for node creation.
Ah, thanks. I'll try that.

One of your other mods crashed. it looks like the Constructing ended at CoroAI, so I'd start there
