Perhaps you can forgive us for worrying that this is vaporware. This mod looks great, and yet, you've been working on it since February 3rd this year. You have had that Patreon link there since day one(IIRC), and while your team looks pretty damn good, people are impatient and this looks good enough that everyone is crying out for it.
For a while, over on the FTB Forums there wasn't a day that went by that someone mentioned this mod as a suggestion to a issue someone was having; people were forgetting that there wasn't a release yet, maybe out of hope that it was released and they didn't see it, or because people didn't really read the OP and assumed that there was a alpha release, or SOMETHING to whet their endless hunger for this mod.
My point is, people are getting worried. You'll see more and more posts claiming this is vaporware until a release is made. Or, I guess, until you guys give up, and maybe release the code. No way to tell just yet which way it's gonna go. I hope that the AE Essentia system is almost ready, at least. Ideally the Native Ore Clusters as well. Could use a few more types, but all in time, I guess...
Okay, let me break this down for you:
Most mod devs have jobs outside of modding. They have school, or family commitments, or whatever else to do *in addition* to what they're doing for Minecraft. It's been a little under 3 months. If you think that's too long, let me introduce you to EE3.
Furthermore, just because people are jonesing for it doesn't mean that Drullkus should just up and release something he isn't happy with even if it would placate some of the more impatient of the people here. Releasing buggy mods to the masses does no one any good because the general public has no idea how to make a bug report and it can only amount to frustration and an issue tracker full of nonsense.
You know what would make this even MORE awesome when it comes out? If you added even MOAR cross-mod integration! I'm talking like, add ALL the Thaumcraft toys! Some ideas:
Wand Tinkering! Make a wand truly unique and yours, right down to bonus abilities! Make a wand using Tinker's Construct stuff, and add enhancements the same way! I'm thinking like, a wand with a Shock focus, hold shift and right click to call down a LIGHTNING BOLT! Oh man. So much win. Focus of fire? How bout a METEOR! Vis sold seperately.
Sword of the Zephyr? Pickaxe of the Core? How about making tools with Tinkers that can interface/be affected by your WAND FOCI! Pickaxe with Fire Focus: Smelt dem blocks! Longsword with Ice focus: Freeze them mobs when you dash!
Maybe some Buildcraft Integration! Mystical Quarry! Must be powered by magic-type engines, but instead of mining ze blocks, it consumes the blocks and produces ESSENCE! In small quantities, or maybe breaks down, or limit so no OP, whatever.
So we have a centrifuge, why not COMBINE ESSENCE to create compound essence! Or can we do that already? If so, I didn't get the memo. Fusion Chamber! Attaches to essence pipes, powered by TI magic engines, fuses essences to create... erm, more essence. Haz chance to create Flux, mitigated by bellows or something? I dunno, you're clever, you figure it out
That's all I got for now. Sorry, I get excited easily.
Also yes, Spaceballs reference was for fast-forwarding to release date.
EDIT: I just saw Essentia Blender on the feature list. Ignore my last bullet point! Because... bullet point. Pew pew.

Or instead of a pickaxe with a wand focus you could use an Industrialcraft 2 machine modifier to automatically macerate the ore into crushed ore which uses power from your EU tool modifier. (And maybe to make a thermal expansion pulverizer modifier which automatically makes pulverized ore and uses RF.
And maybe a multi-block structure like the crafting one to automatically infuse for you.
And maybe a mass fabricator which makes Essentia instead of UU-Matter.

TL;DR: Stop the doom-and-gloom vaporware crap.
Well aware, mate. Like, all of your post, I know that. Seriously, you think I'm just another tween whining because this isn't out yet? I want it, but I'm patient enough to wait. Even for EE3, and I did wait for EE3 and it's come a long way.
Just thought I'd address the reason why people are worried about the chance that this may be Vaporware. And I'll be waiting until there is a release or the project crumbles.
...And EE3? Try waiting for the next Redpower 2 release.

Actually I'd rather leave infusion up to the player; it's a bit more delicate and things can go wrong. I can just hear the forums posts now:

Y'know, there's a thingy that does this other thingy that has the effect of removing taint from your thingy... I'm sure you could find out more if you read a bit.
A kind of "Axe of Stream"-ish modifier would be great for some tools of TiC
Just double checking, what aspect of the axe of the stream? I assume the part where harvested blocks flow to you because there is no benefit of the tree cutting skills of it when we have lumber axes...
And that flowing bit would be very handy I must admit.

I think the point was applying that type of effect to other tools, i.e., mining a block of iron and having it mine all the blocks of iron in that vein as well as flowing them to you. I can see it being useful and annoying (accidentally shoveling a block of sand while in a desert biome: POOF full inventory)

Just telling you but I don't think there is going to be a Redpower 2 update for ages.

I'd say the leaf remover is the aspect that trumps the lumber axe. It takes longer to chop down a big tree with 'stream vs. lumber axe, but you don't have to stand there and wait for leaves to naturally degrade. They go *poof* within a few seconds instead.
This mod looks seriously awesome! It's such an awesome idea and I love all the community input! I'm so excited that i've put together a modpack ready for it to star in!
This looks like an integration mod I could like. I tend to move away from more techy mods and the boring drill of them, besides maybe TE... But this is something I'm sticking around to see what it'll turn into.

Very likely then since there have been 2 new TE builds in the last 2 weeks.

Patience is a virtue, or so they say. And lead, copper, silver and tin already have clusters, only nickel lacks one.
If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.

Correct! We added Nickel as well but forgot to update the OP .-.

Nor should you, mostly because TE doesn't HAVE a 'Shiny ore'.

We should because other mods have the platinum ore, but I'm feeling a bit lazy about making a shiny ore cluster texture atm.
I can hardly wait for the public release.... AE-assisted Infusion Crafting! Better than buttered toast, IMHO...!
Later .... Peace ....
