I am no longer working on this mod. I will not pay a role in it's development and I will not be making any decisions for it.
HOWEVER
Someone else is working on it, someone who could probably do a better job at it than me,
WildBamaBoy, the developer of such mods as Minecraft Comes Alive. It is now up to him what he does with it, how he does it.
You can still post your comments and suggestions here (for now), as I'm sure WildBamaBoy will be reading over them.

This is the new forum post for the Spider Queen Redux development
What is "The Spider Queen"?
The Spider Queen is a mod originally developed by Djoslin, he has since moved onto to other projects (Check out his website). The Models, artwork and ideas originally by Pullahoko.
The main premise of this mod is that YOU are the bad guy (well girl technically) . You take the role of the Spider Queen, battling with other monsters and rising your own spider army in the Minecraft world. You can shoot webs to trap mobs for food, you can lay eggs and generate string to use over time.
This remake will also include multiplayer support.
These downloads are for a BETA download this means this mod, is VERY incomplete. It is NOT the full version, It contains VERY little features. There ARE bugs. There MAY be crashes.
Do NOT use these on ANY world that you wish to keep. Block and Item ID's WILL change.
No support will be given for lost worlds/files/items/blocks/computers while using this mod.
Do NOT download or use this mod if you do not understand any of this.

I certainly like the idea of some sort of evolution system that gradually unlocks more and more content for you to build/battle/play with in the mod.
The concept of expanding your nest and in-turn being rewarded for it the longer you do it would be a massively addictive plus for this mod.
While this concept already existed with capturing as many unique mobs as possible to grow your brood into a mediocre army, it stopped there, and should definitely be vastly expanded on in this mod's redux.
I'd put focus on human enemies. Other antagonists can be fleshed out later. Throwing in a dozen hostile species does not equal fun.

But throwing in a bunch of trigger-happy humans don't equal fun too.
I think the queens, babies/workers, and such should be worked on first, then enemies and hostiles and such should be added.
besides, most of the talk was about queen types and mechanics. hostiles/enemies where rarely talked about
(Note: I mean no disrespect, just stating my opinion)
And another question.
How done is this mod?
I mean, you said 95% needs to be re-done. so how far did you progress?
I know you did webbing to some degree and the models and such is done, but what else is left till the mod is 'complete'?
would you say 10% done or 25% or what?
Looking forward to use this mod, I'll proably do a review video on it on youtube as well. I'm not really known or anything I just created a new channel and blah blah but back to the mod this was actually the first mod I ever played with on minecraft c: It's so awesome. Looking forward for it to be done. Keep doing the great work. :3 I have an idea aswell not sure if it has been mentioned before but the bees usually have a big bee hive in the trees, but what if you made a giant tree with a giant beehive that you could actually enter and it would be honey there and everything, I mean before it was just this thing and no bee would actually manage to get inside it, but if you have it so big that there could actually bee some bees inside there (saw what I did there hah). If you attacked it more bee's would come out and hunt you, like a spawner inside of it. Same with the ants before the ant nest thing was so little, it should be big, you are in a world where bugs are really big so their nest should be as well. Sorry for any misspelling I hate this keyboard.

... hey lemonzz i checked out the site you directed me too when i asked you to teach me how to code. i went to it and after a hour i lost what was happening and there was noone to help me out and to figure out the problem. This is why i was asking for SOMEONE to teach me, someone who could tell me my problem when i hit a bump. Now i went and asked on the forums about coding and some amature kid said "i can teach you the in's and outs of coding." so i started working with him and he had to give me instructions on a ditgital piece of paper because his internet was slow and he cound't skype. and it seemed better cause i could ask him through skype chat about this part of it or so, so i started reading and i was total lost the first line he was talking about abunch of things i didn't understand. He dosn't know how to "Dumb it down" a little. he needed to figure out that i didn't know what a word ment or something so i was lost. After awhile i gave up trying to make sence of it and i went to learn a little basic coding before reading that digital peice of paper again. so i ventured out once more and i am still looking after all these weeks.
so i am asking you if you have anything else that could help me?(cause i will never understand him + he isn't the sharpest (Coding wise) knife in the drawer.)

just saying that the evolutions was my idea until allenWl said that maybe we can add diffrent levels. if you were thinking it was allenWL's idea i hste it when i think of a great idea and someone (even if by accident) takes the credit, at first i was fine with stuff like that until people started taking advantage of my not caring if they did that and whenever i came up with a idea someone would turn around tell there friends and say it was there idea, and i would say "Hey! it was my idea not yours!" and theyed say "your just copying him/her" or i'd go tell all my friends and they'd say that i was stealing his/her idea, and i lost 5-7 friends that way and ever sience i have been trying to prevent that from ever happening to me or enyone else again.guys i still really waant my nether spiders idea to come into play into this mod so thats why im reminding you againalso i have posted 80% of my posts on this mod so thats like 60 posts on this mod

I think spider queens should be able to make a 'lead' webbing to drag mobs and cocoons. If you try to drag a mob that's too strong, however, you get dragged instead, also, if you are dragging a heavy cocoon and it falls off,(just say you were near a cliff) instead of dangling on the edge, it will drag you of with it. you can get lots of other players(on multipayer) or mobs(a type of spider can hatch) to 'leash' it to prevent being dragged around(or off cliffs).
One more thing. The spider queen is about being a 'hostile mob' right?
So I think golems should be hostile at you, and monsters should be neutral.
Of course, you should be able to befriend golems and fight monsters, but I think you should start off friendly with monsters and hostile to golems and villagers and such

i like the origanal skin and you should keep it, like if i rewrite something or remak something i would always leave some of the origanal in there. and you also can have it so when we spawn a gui pops put and you can pick your speices and what you look like (your skin)
