Do a werewolf mod. They would look exactly like normal villagers, but during a full moon, they become extremely strong wolves that stand on their hind legs. They could only be damaged by iron weapons. (Silver looking.) Or possibly instead, add a new silver arrow, crafted with a gold and an Iron ingot.
So are you guys gonna do any more mods? Cuz at this rate it doesn't seem like you will ever hit 5 episodes (and thus release the current mods). It would be a shame for these two mods to go to waste.

Yeah, I'm incredibly sorry about that. We first got stuck with christmas and some of my finals, and now TripleHeadedSheep has the biggest project to fulfill for his school yet (one of his final finals, I believe). We're still at it, and theoretically, the third mod is almost complete, apart from the visuals x)

If you don't mind, I can lend a helping hand with models and textures

Cool beans, man. Just glad the project didn't get sucked into a black hole.
Glad to see this is still in the works.
Just from the first 2, I can tell this is going to be my favourite minecraft series. I can't believe no one (that I know of) has done it before!
If its going to take so long to create the episodes maybe you could release the mods on the next video?

We still have you in the back of our heads
This time, though, we really couldn't estimate how much time we'd be able to sink into it beforehand, so it wasn't clear if we might just finish it the other day. Now, though, we're sure to complete it in the near future

Well, it doesn't usually take that long... I honestly hope from now on we can get them out at a consistent rate
Alright, so my bro suggested an idea to me that seems pretty legit:
What about a mod that requires you to build supports in mines to prevent cave-ins? Shallow mines would only need wooden beams, but as you go deeper you would need to create supports out of stone and iron. Cave-ins would damage the player and leave them trapped in a 1x2 space (and thus suffocating to death).

i like the idea but there is a flaw in your plan
the only way i can see doing this is overwriting stone to make it affected by gravity in a way
i attempted that once but when generating a world the game would crash because of how much stone is in the world and how much caves are there also so there would be over 10000 falling blocks at the same time when generating the world so... you can do the rest of the math i'm sure

HINT: it ends in a crash
But no matter good idea non the less
There would be a way around this.
Just make it only falls under certain circumstances, like the player making too much noise without support beams around.

yes there are ways around this
but sound is not one of them cause sound can not be detected in code as far as i know

There ARE better ways to do this. Much better
It is entirely viable with a good codebase. However as you might guess, this is not really the stuff that the champ mods are made off
Okay, so that idea isn't quite what your looking for, let's try another idea.
A suits/tuxedos mod. Low-armor clothing (like leather) but with special passive buffs. The various outfits could be homages to various movies/shows. Examples:
James Bond Tux: Bonus ranged damage (he uses guns) and lowered hostile aggro range (cuz he's a spy).
Caruso Casual Suit: Suit + sunglasses grant you the "One-liner" ability, allowing you to see nearby mobs and ores for a few moments (recharge time is one minute, equal to one Minecraft hour). CSI skillz FTW YYEEEAAAHHHH.
TF2 Spy Suit: Grants you the "Spy Mask" ability, allowing you to disguise yourself as any mob/player in sight (but it only works on that mob/player). Melee attacks from behind result in a "backstab" (insta-kill).
Austin Powers Ruffly Tux: Mojo Power, baby! Wearing this suit while breeding animals gives a chance an animal can breed again. Proximity to villagers increases their rate of breeding.
The Barney Stinson Suit: Pure. Power. Of. AWESOME. Can grant a large variety of powerful, context-sensitive bonuses (water-breathing, one-shot kills, complete immunity to deadly falls), but with only a small chance of them activating. One drawback is that any of these powers can be neutralized by the presence of a spider (Barney fears spiders).
The big thing with this mod would be that the suits don't have to be related to direct combat, the buffs could be mostly focused around exploration, crafting and subterfuge (SMP could certainly use more subterfuge).
WOOOOOOOW a whole month and still nothing more on this stuff?
You guys are really lazy, it's a shame that these mods will go to waste and never be released BECAUSE YOU CAN'T ARSED TO GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND FRAKKIN' CODE STUFF.
We'll see how far you guys get with your future endeavors in life when you're so unfocused and incapable of committing to a task.

its not like us modders have lots of time in our hand, we do have a life you know?

Well that's fine, things like that are to be expected, but it doesn't mean he should just flat-out neglect this stuff. If he can't be bothered to continue it, then the least he could do is announce he is too busy to continue and release the work that is already finished. Letting it sit neglected is just a waste.

There would probably be a way. It was an example anyway.
Lets get back on topic!

pbat calls his subs "champs" the subscribers come up the the ideas for the mods thus "champ mods"
