I made one, it worked great! (username is acomputerdog, as you would guess :)) I was looking at the forums and thought of a few boards to add:
An "off-topic" board for things such as forum suggestions, general modding discussions, etc
A board for BL mods
A board for BL modding help
A board for BL modding tutorials (could possibly be merged with help board)
EDIT: lol I just realized this is probably the only time I will be able to say I have read every single topic in an entire forum
Very interesting, if you were to keep a list of mappings for the snapshots then you would have a major bonus to your API.
That is exactly what it is for! However most of the current system is very outdated and I will be updating it, probably using String compatibility types (with presets such as "ORE", "TOOL", etc.). Another big use of it would be to help large mods work together, for example if two mods try to register an ore processor they can both point "oreProcessor" (or something like it) to their ore processor block/item/TE/whatever. Then whichever mod loads second can see that the "oreProcessor" is already defined by another mod, and can skip loading its own (or even better load it's own as a pointer to the other) and then register it's ores with the other mod's processor.
I've been waiting for a new snapshot to show this and one has finally been released. The mappings I have so far for 14w17a (released today) are:
Block anj
Blocks anp
Material bfb
Item agi
Items agz
I have verified that these are correct. Thank you JD-Gui
Acomputerdog is working on the LiteLoader rewrite, and at this point there is not much to see. but joining the IRC channel could always get you the latest information about what is going on with BlazeLoader
Like BigXplosion said, most discussion is in IRC. If you get on with a question and I am not on, then PM me here and I will get on when I am available.
I was getting a little worried about the lack of posting around here, but a quick check of the Git provided me with relief! Great this is still being worked on, I'll aim to try and stick around the IRC a bit more from now on
BL is definitely still alive, but it is currently in limbo and i'm not actively working on it. I had been making a lot of progress to add server support, but Mumfrey got pulled away to work on sponge so LL still does not have server support. I have not decided if I should just go ahead and release BL without server support, or wait (potentially for a long time) until LL has server support so that BL can be released as a server-compatible API.

I think you should make at least a prerelease of BL even if it doesn't have server support. Then we can stomp on the bugs and such and get it working so it will be seamless to integrate as soon as Mumfrey gets back from working on sponge...
I haven't actually stopped working on it, it's just that I now have to share my time between LiteLoader and Sponge, I feel like this is the right thing to do overall because the community needs a new server platform so badly. LiteLoader's server support is functional but not complete, so there's not a million miles to go on that either, plus the nice thing is that because of LiteLoader's architecture, it should actually work alongside Forge/Sponge/whatever by design.

I will probably do that, but then again I will not personally be able to work on it much for a few weeks, because of college stuff.

Oh I 100% agree that you should keep working on sponge, server owners really need a replacement for bukkit.
If you are getting crashes with LiteLoader you should tell me so I can fix the problem.
Sorry, it was just a minor installation issue. It turns out that running the client after each client install was not necessary (i.e launching after forge is installed, THEN installing lite loader and running) When in all actuality you installed them subsequently without launching. The problem was solved anyway. Thank you.

Wow, that sounds like a big change. Good luck!

Interesting......
can this be used in place of the development build of liteloader?
i find the Dev build unstable and often get crashes when installing it on top of forge.
mumfrey's mods are amazing and essential to the tasks i do on servers, and i would really like to use them but it often crashes as i said.
