one thing that I noticed that might help with adjusting color values, (or might not) is that a webpage display's google web page on it turns bright solid yellow, instead of being the google background white it should be. (not sure if that is something in the mod that is causing it to react that way or not thus why I pointed it out,)
by the way I do love how the lava has its own reddish glow instead of the generic light color that minecraft assigns to it, really hope all this can get sorted cause as I said you are doing something that should be implemented in basic minecraft in general to upgade how awesome the graphics are for players,
on the computer intensity they could just add the bits they want for better look and provide it as a "high performance" version of minecraft with "minim requirements" outlined so people that complain about it not running smoothly on their system have no one to blame but themselves for not reading and getting the version that would work on their system I mean they have a pocket edition for phones, and console versions lol.

never take unfair treatment, if someone is treating you badly, and you can not resolve it, leave, you are better off with out someone in your life that abuses you no matter how they try to invalidate your concerns or feelings. No one has that right, only you get to chose how you feel about something.

I'm not sure what I could do about different versions, but thats a good idea for the future of this mod.
Also, nether portals are purple, and it's my favorite!
I don't know how possible this would be, but it would be pretty sweet if you implemented LED panels, which could be set to be any of the ~3000 possible colors. Here's a recipe mockup: http://i.imgur.com/ZthVfoj.png
It would be interesting to see some power integration to the mod too.

That idea is for someone else. The API is public for a reason. (Sounds cool too!)
@CptSpaceToaster: I don't have anything but Forge 1272 and Minecraft 1.7.10. Also, are you on IRC? That'd be easier. I'm "asie" on EsperNet
I had a chance to discuss this with an intel dev who maintains the mesa linux driver. It could very well be a bug on their end, as they might have optimized an attribute out of existence, but... we should have written the shader a different way, so now I need to learn all about this whole shader thing... and I look forward to it!
2- With mekanism Glow panels, they just dont seam to work when your mod is load too, they dont emmit light at all, but i dont this its a colored light anyway is it? why would your mod mess it up?
just reporting this bugs because i love this mod and see potencial, also as you saw i want to help, im gonna work on those lights more later, tell me what you think, about changing the stripes to horizontal i think its more stlish, also you think the dark background is cool or should i make it like a gray-metal on the final version?

Inter-mod relations are going to be tense... I can try to extend a hand to other mods here, because I'm quite literally changing how everything appears, and hoping that it ends up the way it should in the end. If a mod author does something slightly out of line, something just ever so slightly different, it could leave the mod in a state that works in Vanilla, but not here.
When this happens, some of the blame is on me (for changing the system) and there's only so much I can do, before I have to push a change to the mod developer, This the case with chisel. They were copying vanilla for a certain Ambient occlusion calculation, but their averaging routine wasn't proper, and needed to be rewritten for each channel.
It can be anything from a failure to clean up a call to set-light-map (which behaves completely differently than before), or more of the ambient occlusion calculation problems that we've seen before.
So, TL:DR I cause problems that I can't always fix. Some of these may require a backwards compatible fixes in the mod that I've offended.
Still got the lighting issue with the 1.2.2 of the mod with chisel. I don't have fastcraft installed.
I fixed it, as it was a problem (sorta) in chisel's source code, but you'll have to wait for chisel themselves to update... I've told them about it, and they're not focused on a release right now.

hum there might be something on the Laser Mod itself, that i could change or deactivate so it can sorta 'ignore' your mod lights? i think that way it would work i guess?
whats is OP? sure but let me post the next version im doing first, i think i still might change the background to a lighter texture, what u think?
OP stands for original post or original poster. In this case, it's the original post, the first one in the thread.
edit: A couple of textures for my idea on the previous page, if anyone wants to give it a go: http://i.imgur.com/OFkvR8O.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/eYuCPzG.png
this brings to my mind that there are some very important mods that other mods should be working with to make sure we have compatibility, since it seems you are the only one at this point messing with lighting (and seem to know quite a bit about it) that adds something to lighting itself that nothing else adds, it would be great if modders like dynamic lights would get with you and ask to be allowed to implement your tactics toward lighting to their mods, then they get the benefits of your mod, and are compatible with your mod as long as no one gets a huge head, and stays real, this could totally work. and would be an amazing step forward toward weening ourselves from the Mojang teet, since they like to just keep changing things around and causing mods to be broken left and right, causing a lot of work on the modders that does not improve the mods themselves by adding stuff or updating their own designs,
@theWizardfrombrasil are you making texture packs for 1.7.10? if so awesome I need help figuring out how to get custom texture packs to work there, as something is changed from 1.6.4 and I have not been able to figure out what it is

heh I take it I am the only one using redpower microblocks and carpenters blocks here LOL. makes me wonder if it was even worth messing with my report lol. also the fact that the webpage displays are bright yellow tinted while parts of those carpenters blocks are only tinted with blue, and all other colors are either ignored or they take away from the brightness of the blocks, if there are not like at least 3 lighting processes written that people can use, and they are all using a different one :(, again what I see is yours offers the most and seems to run the cleanest (framerate and all) so would be cool if ever one could be using yours (until a better one is developed if that ever happens lol)

redpower already works on 1.7.10? also i never tryied carpenters block is it good? im doing a pack for a modern theme now... think it would fit ?

To be continued...
I made some 32x32 textures for your colored lamps, im planning to use them on a futuristic resource pack, to build kick ass ships with mods.
I would like your permission and blessing make a resource pack of your mod (will be one of those resource packs for futuristic modpacks).
Here are some 3 colors i made so far: tell me what you think about it (keep in mind it should be a futuristic -starship-base kind texture):
1- With the Laser Mod (the laser gets weirdo, like weak and the beam texture is mess up or miss when load with your mod.

1) Rotary Craft - laser works OK with your mod also the light reflects Ok on the Rotarycraf blocks i tested
2) Flan Mod - Bug on textures - vehicles textures are missed for some reason, similar bug of the laser mod
