when you say 'the original release date, what do you mean: an estimated date for the release of the new version or the release date of the first version of the mod.
also, this is quiet hard to solve because there are some unknown constants in there (i have no idea how far glassmaker is on the progress, yes he gives updates on what he is doing but we don't know what he wants to have completed before the update.
oh and would you be so kind to give me the values of Q and n because those require having read through all the comments and i've been following this post since yesterday

It was a joke, and none of those constants really matter. I just meant that asking won't make any sort of positive change, and there is no real release date yet because, as everybody should know, anything can go wrong. Asking for a release date is about as likely to result in a correct answer as asking for a release date of Half-Life 3. The best thing to do is wait. Or you could do as I suggested in the Ars Magica 2 thread a few weeks ago and knock yourself out with a brick.

Are the Metallurgy Fantasy Metals going to have their secondary effects in the new version? Or have those even been implemented in Metallurgy 4? I haven't been able to find much anything in the way of documentation for M4, and have been substituting this list (http://ftbwiki.org/Metallurgy_3#Swords) as a placeholder of sorts for reference.
EDIT: Aaand, I just noticed that the swords have in-game tooltips. Never mind.
While I'm here, some more compatibility suggestions:
Aether II! Gravitite, Zanite, Skyroot, Holystone
Until Aether II updates to 1.7, there's no way to add compatibility. This is a 1.7 mod, Aether II is 1.6, so a TiC addon would have to be its own mod until it updates.
SO excited for this. Can't wait to have an RF powered furnace. I'll be able to use coal to power my furnace instead of lava, like I've always wanted.

Having the ability to make your tools out of stuff that come from the Aether would be cool. Though, It is slightly buggy right now, for example: The gravitite sword's ability doesn't work, and its also not taking damage. Entering the Aether in multiplayer disconnected me twice. So, I think it is a good idea to wait with the Aether part, because its buggy and because adding the Aether will make the wait time longer.

I think they could be used like paper/thaumium for an extra modifier in the Aether.
@glassmaker - You already stated that new mod compat wouldn't be in the upcoming release, I was just suggesting it for the future. I agree with those two that said Golden Amber might be a good material that doesn't have many other uses currently. Also, sorry for blowing up your thread by making such an apparently controversial suggestion. >.>
