Is it a way to get rid of the "daytime out of sync" in other servers that doesn't have stellarsky installed? When it's "summer", monsters spawn in the clientside "day".
EDIT: I think i have fixed it with tick offset, but yeah, there should be an easier way to implement this...
You're trying to use a mod that alters the way the sky looks, and the position of the sun in a way that affects daylight levels…. on a server that does NOT use the mod… and you're wondering why they're not in sync?

Was it out of sync with default settings? And how tick offset fixed that?

It was only a temporary fix. When i revisited the server, the time was again out of sync
Of course it was, the server doesn't have the mod installed on it.
This mod changes the position of the sun. If you use the mod on your client, you are changing the position of the sun (and consequently, the daylight levels)… if the server uses the mod too… both the client and the server will have their suns in the same position, and the light levels will be the same.
If the server does NOT use the mod, then what happens is you see the sun in a different position (and have different light levels), than what the server sees. The server controls when mobs spawn. So if it's dark on the server, mobs will spawn, and you've got the mod on so you "think" it's "daytime", but it's only "daytime" for you. Not anybody else on the server.
Then, at the default config, it should be the altitude of the sun only, not the time...
Naw man… you don't understand how this mod works. It REPLACES the sun.
Would you add a mod that lets you break obsidian with your fists… then jump on a server that doesn't have the mod... and then ask "Why can't I break obsidian with my fists?"
i'm getting a huge memory leak with the last several versions of stellar sky at default settings on 1.70.10. stellar sky versions 0.1.23, 0.1.22b, and 0.1.20 all gave me the memory leak. the used memory will jump 30 - 40 percent, drop 30 - 40 percent, and repeat in the span of 3 - 5 seconds per cycle. deleting configs and downgrading to the last version of stellar sky i was using seemed to resolve the issue.

For the record, I removed Stellar Sky entirely, and the performance increase was significant.. I'm going to add back in the previous version if I can get it (>1.20) And see what happens.

Does this mean as you move around your Minecraft world from the base Lat/Long you set?
Or just your position on what Long/Lat you set?
They are set by configuration.

Ah... I was going to say... I couldn't imagine what would be involved with having a moving skyline as you moved N/S from your set Lat/Long. XD
It would be amazing though!
That would be cool, but needs many patches. on day/night control.

Hey Pitch, can you give an example of how much you have to edit the Offset to have Stellar Sky and Minecraft Clocks sync? Is this always desirable?
I haven't done it in the more recent versions, but I replied to some questions about that stuff a page or two back.
Updated to 1.8.9!

This mod should work in sync with default configurations.
So, can you say how it does not sync?
Just sun rising earlier and setting later?
Or the time got shifted?

I wonder if this is what caused the sudden performance drop in my ModPack.
