Designed for the new modpack, Fellowship Medieval Modpack, and influenced by the feature in cube world, I spent a couple days designing a hang glider mod for Minecraft. The mod is fairly straight forward and simple, however, i spent a long time playing with the mechanics to make it feel like you are hang gliding, momentum preservation and all(wide turning, youll fell like you are sliding if you try to turn too quickly), also spent some time working on an algorithm to give a realistic look to the glider as you are controlling it. Turning rolls the hang glider, too much turn with not enough speed will flip it, resulting in some cool tricks once you get the hang of it. There is currently no pitch control(tilting up and down) but i think this would make the controls too complicated and not as comfortable as they are now.
This mod is currently for 1.5.2 but i do plan on updating to 1.6.2 if people want it. It was designed for a modpack in 1.5.2 so that is the version it is currently built on. If you have any issues, be sure to update forge to a newer 1.5.2 version before posting a crash report.

great mod! So far i haven't experienced any problems, for a Work in progress mod, this one seems to be quite stable. If you are looking for input on 'bugs' or strange behavier, I have only experienced 2. The first is a minor one, but is seems the animation when flying looks a little jerky, i am sure thats a minor one you can iron out tho.
Also, when flying the hang glider, your armor isnt visible. I also noticed the player is in a position i have never seen before outside of player api, so I am not complaining, just wondering if you knew this...

Yeah rotation interpolation(what you are asking for) is already added and will be in the next update. As far as the armor goes, I am aware. So that I could have full control over the player rendering, the default rendering is disabled while flying, and currently, it does not render armor, however, this is not a priority currently since it kind of makes sense one would take off heavy armor before hang gliding.
Changelog:
Rotation's now smoothed out and wont appear jerky anymore.
Tweaks to the rendering of the glider so that the rendering doesnt get so derpy in weird conditions, like gliding backwards.
The glider inventory item moved to the players back, instead of holding it with one hand.
Armor rendering added when gliding.
Jumping with a glider without actually moving in any direction caused the glider to be pointing in fairly random directions until you actually move. This is now fixed and will now always start pointing in the direction the camera is in.

Here's a diamond .
I just putted the ZIP. into mod folder. It works fine but, I can still see the body walking while also lying down when flying hanglider.
which means I can see two body.
It requires forge, try updating forge first. The latest 1.5.2 version available

I'm surprised you didn't realize I am the developer of the VoidLauncher. This mod was created by request by Cody for the Fellowship Medieval Modpack.
I didn't know, sorry. Don't have to get angry...
