I'm finally, FINALLY back to Minecraft and I've gotta say that this mod is really interesting already in my current world! It adds enough that I wanna investigate, but nothing that's just immediately game breaking. I feel bad slaughtering dozens of poor zombiemon though D:

Great! I try not to make my mobs game breaking like say Grimoire of Gaia was when I tried to play that. c.c I just... couldn't have fun having that mod installed.

A small FYI update for people in general. I have decided that the updates beyond 1.7.10 will be a rewrite from scratch the entire modification, excluding the assets and models. It will have a new name. Updating the entire current mod as is is just too intimidating. I need something more manageable for my low attention span for large projects.
I plan to strip the "Pokemon" name from the mod's name as its not really a true Pokemon mod and I think "Pokemon" turns some people away. It's not intended just for Pokemon players after all.
I'll post the new versions on a different page and link them from this main page. I hope I can keep 1.8.9, 1.9.4, and 1.10.? updated together for a little while though 1.8.9 will probably be retired after not too long.
1.7.10 will still be updated for now. I mod what I play, and 1.7.10 is what I prefer to play. I've seen nothing beyond in Minecraft or modding yet worth updating my mod to play.

I really like those zealots, they're adorable! Would some kind of "gateway" block allowing you to spawn either neutral or tameable ones be too much to suggest?

Ahaha, that would be pretty amusing to add actually. I think I best pass on that for other things. I was considering a High Templar Lucario tamable last month for the next update but I decided it was a bit much for me to handle right now. ^^
Very nice! I like that fact that it's very balanced and that it has mod compatibility in mind. I saw your banner under your post on the ZSS thread, and, having completed my National Pokedex, thus earning the title Pokemon Master, was obliged and thrilled to check this out. Will keep watching. ^ ^

I absolutely love the looks of this mod. It seems so well animated so far and I can't wait to use it. Not to be pushy, but is there a plan to update this to 1.9 or 1.9.4 anytime soon?
Also, if you're taking suggestions, I have a hostile mob in mind that mixes involves a reference to another game. Make a boss called 'Brimstone Mega Gengar'. It'd be split up into three parts, two floating hands and the gengar head. It'd be surprisingly still for it's ability to float and would fight by sending out smaller enemies, balls of red energy, and beams of blood. It would also have two stages. Once bellow half health, both hands would die and the head would become skeletal.
This boss is in reference to Mega Satan, from the Binding Of Isaac. I just think it would be cool to add in along with a few smaller demonic versions of ghost pokemon.

Don't see why. There are shambling corpses, giant spiders, undead pig beasts who seem in the worst shape, dragons, and giant ghost things. Plus, in this very mod, there are zombie eeveelutions with revealed bones and such. I don't see why red particles would make things change for the worse.

This mod will never be updated beyond 1.7.10. It's too big and complicated. Simple stuff that people take for granted like compatibility with Not Enough Items makes me not want to mod because of how difficult it is to do and figure out.
But there is a remake of the mod started. It has 8 old mobs already added to 1.8.9, 1.9.4, and 1.10.2 versions of this remake. They have yet to be tested to see if they actually work in the exported versions though. In the modding environment they work fine but isn't always the case with the sort of mod mine is; that they work in actual games.
I pretty much don't take mob suggestions/requests. The closest things to requests I take of any sort are mentioned here: http://fav.me/dabtdee

I understand. And it wasn't meant to be taken as something so violent. The place I mentioned blood could've easily just been replaced with 'bright red beam' and would visually be the exact same thing. Guess that's what I get for my wording. And I understand keeping the mod back in 1.7.10. I was asking for the sake of having an answer here, just in case anyone else gets the idea to ask.

Never said there was anything wrong with them. I was using them as an example, along with zombies and the rest I mentioned. I think my reasoning behind examples and even my suggestion was just because I saw that there were references from other media with pokemon added and I thought that the combination would be interesting. Looking at it know though, I see what is wrong with it.

I agree with. The combination is weird. Though, it is does appear a lot throughout some of the manga.
In terms of blood and gore, I try not to mix it with Pokemon unless there is a strong reason.
For those who don't follow my Twitter, I just put the finishing touches on the Poketamables overhaul which introduces permanent stats and passive abilities such as Fire, Poison/Wither, Fall, and Drowning Immunity; even includes an enhancement that helps a Poketamable get out of getting stuck in a wall.
They have also received a major addition to their movement animations including jumping, falling, and turning.
After this I'm going to try and return to the custom modeled Challenger Armor Set, Tempest Vikavolt, or a seventh tamable which all considerations for this addition is from the seventh generation Pokemon. The tamables overhaul I don't want to release until I've gotten a good feel for it and bug tested in my regular survival play.
