If I could do more than read code I'd help. But the furthest I can code is my treasure-chest thingy that failed pretty hard, even though I was damn sure I'd gotten everything right. And I'm pretty sure I copied half of that code from one of renounce's scripts...or was that the GBC-Zelda rock throwing? Dunno.
You should get a massage. I bet that would help with stress.
The installer is .jar dammit, how do you expect it to work?
a lot of mods have install files in .jar format. double click it and it should automatically install like a .exe. that is for PC at least, if your running MAC I would say it does the same I would imagine.

I got Win 7 and it just opens like a normal .jar, couldn't find any installer.exe. Using WinRAR
... ?!
Seriosly?
Right Click -> Open With/As -> Java.
If it doesn't start then, I don't know why it won't start.
Doesn't matter anyway, since I am just about done with the actual Launcher.
Last thing to do is the Forge-Library download-links... and I got some problems with these.
Is my life a piece of cake?
No, my life is not a piece of cake. It never was.
I am having trouble here in the boarding-school.
Trouble stuff:
- Internet USB-Stick is damaged again. (f**k you T-Online. F**K YOU)
- I don't have a lot of money. (2,10€ in the wallet is nothing)
- Walking. A lot of it. (~2 km² school-ground...)
Have a nice day.

Im a modder/programmer! I am on Twitter and YouTube, and some more I won't tell you about!
The downloads no longer work because the guys of Forge changed the download-links.
And thus the Minecraft-Launcher doesn't know where to get the files from, resulting in these errors.
Can't fix this until I can find the new (valid) download-links.

Hey I have a problem, for some reason I followed all of the installation instructions with the exact version of forge and everything, but minecraft doesn't even start, I pastebinned what I got in the minecraft launcher after attempting to run it. http://pastebin.com/9KaScdk7

If you where to read the last couple of pages, you would know that there are problems with the Minecraft-Forge library-files.
I don't know where to get them from, and I am not allowed to publish them by myself.
As long as I am trying to find out where to get the files from, I am writing the TaleCraft-Launcher.
Have a nice day.

are you referring to the same library files as a user end, not developer end? if so, I found where forge moved them. if it's forge 9.11.0.901 files you need, hopefully this link will help: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=zumVvSDviC-XAI1,fBx3X1&action=files . it's the 48th one down in the *ALL DOWNLOADS* part of the page below all the recommended files. I hope that's a help and not a hindrance.
[EDIT] by the look of it it's the 9.10.0.804 libraries you need, they are there hopefully, just scroll down the page, ALL the files should be there.
Ok, I managed to get Talecraft running.
For those who ask, the fix is simple, just follow these steps:
Step 1:
Install Forge 9.10.0.804 (or higher) via its installer. This will download the forge libraries for Talecraft.
Step 2: Attempt to run Talecraft. (Note: Talecraft will not run at this stage, we're just checking to see if the forge libraries where installed.)
By now, you should only get this error showing:
[10:32:48 INFO]: Attempting to download C:\Users\Boys-Toshiba\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\de\taleCraft\TCLaunchWrapper\0.0\TCLaunchWrapper-0.0.jar for job 'Version & Libraries'... Doing this will create the folders we need in the libraries folder.
Step 3:
Download the TC launcher wrapper jar file (download link is in the 'index' file in the main post).
Then goto ".minecraft\libraries\de\taleCraft\TCLaunchWrapper\0.0" and place the jar file in that folder.
Step 4:
Now, re-run Talecraft, the launcher will close (if the profiles settings are set to close it ) and Talecraft will now, hopefully launch.
I hope this help any others that suffer the same issues when installing Talecraft.

This actually works.
"I approve this!"
On another note, the TaleCraft-Launcher is now capable of:
Launcher:
# Logging in to a Minecraft-Account. (Tested it. It works)
# Downloading all the correct libraries. (Works too)
# Starting up Vanilla Minecraft. (WORKS!)
In Minecraft:
# Everything works, except sounds.
Does not work:
# Forge Download in Launcher (libraries...)
Nearly there... only need the right download-links for Forge.
Have a nice day!

Nice help now you've saved the whole TaleCraft mod, this should be the installation for manual and the Automatic for the Talecraft Official Mod Launcher
Is there a video tutorial for installing this mod? I'm really pumped to play it and I sorta don't understand the installation. even the one by k7755g ._.

for me the launcher closes, but the console is constatly spamming this massage:
:11:49 INFO]: Client> 2014-02-21 14:11:49 [INFO] [ForgeModLoader] Forge Mod Loader version 6.2.35.804 for Minecraft 1.6.2 loading[14:11:49 INFO]: Client> 2014-02-21 14:11:49 [INFO] [ForgeModLoader] Java is Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM, version 1.7.0_51, running on Windows 7:x86:6.1, installed at C:\Program Files\Java\jre7

The Forge people changed the download locations, and I don't have the correct direct-links, which change every so often.
I should seriosly continue on the Launcher, but I just... can't.
Reasons?Here they are:
The thing with 'Forge making my life hard'. (I still can't get ANYTHING to work! My methods no longer work)
My stressed real-life. (Will become even more stressed in a few months)
I am always dead-tired. (Try staying awake from 6°° to 23°° o'clock! EVERY DAMN DAY 7 DAYS THE WEEK)
NOBODY even bothers to help me with TaleCraft... nobody. And its pi**ing me of.
The fun in modding Minecraft is just ... gone. I don't even bother anymore to open the MCP workspace.
No solutions, no fun, no help, no good-news.
The Dead-end is coming in for this mod.
The exact same thing that happened the Cryect is happening to me.
At least I still talk to you guys.
Well... have a nice day.

I give up on trying to get this work. I don't know what to do. I just keep getting errors, and I just give up. If someone can help me, go ahead, but right now, I give up.
You should get a massage. I bet that would help with stress.
