Those screen shots look amazing. It makes me want the update even more. Question, will the update push the mod to 1.6.4? or will that be a later update down the line?
nice idea but may be hard to do
(but naiten already added the ability to walk inside the train, that don't look easy to do too,so maybee it's possible for him)
I don't think he have implanted that yet. He tried, but it is to hard to do at the moment. It might not even be possible to do.
Hehehehe @DAYdiecast
Keep calm with him, I like it when people also make thoughts about the mod. So how could he know that you are thinking the same?^^ And further, maybe he's right with some things in future. The more ppl thinks about the more ideas are spent and (in my opinion) the more likely may be the result
@DAYdiecast: is there a open or flat car version in the works for that goods van, just the chassis with out the structure? Or would you rather make a whole new model for it?

Due to several reasons all of the mod's models consist of several sub-models. For example, the closed freight car consists of:
- wheels, 2pcs
- suspension, 2pcs,
- frame,
- buffers and couplers, 2pcs,
- main body,
- doors, 2pcs,
- interior (will differ for a passenger version and a mob transport version).
This also leads to an easier way of building new 2-axled european-styled wagons.
Thus, the flatcar will only need a new main body, which is not a big deal and yes, will be done eventually.
Hay DAYdiecast since your part of the "shop crew" on this project I've got a question for you.
Are then any plans on adding a piece of equipment that American Railroad men referred to as "The Big Hook?"
Yes, we're thinking on adding them. And not them only - there's a plenty of different engines and cars.
Still, there's a lot, um, A LOT to code even for the existing models. And, since the only coder for that mod is Naiten and he's mostly not helped by anyone - get some patience, more important things here to be done first.
How hard would it be to make a car that you could place blocks on (i.e. a flat car). I was just wondering if that was one of the thousands of ideas yet. It could be used with cranes for moving building or mobile art or something.
I just though of this as I was writing this what about inter-modal containers for the modern packs with well cars for them to be stacked in.
Another thing, what about a gated track for level crossings and more important border crossings
With all the potential I guess I should just learn Java...

Just asking was all. I mean a wrecking crane like the Big Hook could come in handy if y'all ever want to implement train wrecks. got to have something to clear the wreck up right?
Also Naiten, I think a way you could get passengers into the trains safely is by using the same technique as Archimedes did for his ships mod, which separates the ship into a moving chunk, therefore players can stay on it. Your thoughts?
For your information, Baethos, this is what a Climax looks like:
I hate to say this, but has any thought or consideration been given to grades? I know it'd be a pain in the bottom, but I would hate to be forced to lay rail only at a specific height, and I hate the thought of the standard minecart-type grades.
Yes, it will. I'll also start using SRG obfuscation, so it may become possible to run the mod on newer MC versions without updating it (not really sure about that).

They are almost ready. Or ready, if we don't count one restriction of their usage (placing stock only of flat track).

Naiten, Any idea of when the update will come out and what it will include? (I know you have a lot of indev stuff, but what will be included/not included/added that we don't know about yet...)
Also, have you considered "back tracking" with the mod? I.E., update the mod, but also make that update on earlier versions of MC. (this would e so we don't have to wait for other mods to update to the newest versions of mc)
You did that again, didnt you?
Please stop proposing us things about this particular engine we already know and/or have in mind.

(I.E.,, you right click a locomotive with a dye, the locomotive texture will be that color)

Yeah this is the first time I've used spoilers.^^;

One of the most beautiful steam locomotives ever designed.
Some say that his new range of Christmas fragrances includes the great smell of Wednesday.
What's that?
Railrider65, you are doing that wrong... They are almost ready. Or ready, if we don't count one restriction of their usage (placing stock only of flat track).
Gated crossings (like this: http://wkunews.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/keeling-railway.jpg) for just getting across the tacks,
and border crossings or just barriers across the the tracks for check points or similar (Like the one from James Bond: Octopussy: http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/d/d0/Octopussy_Plattform_Three_Soldiers_Armi-Jager_AP80.jpg/600px-Octopussy_Plattform_Three_Soldiers_Armi-Jager_AP80.jpg)
