Good job Naiten. I have a question. Will it sometime in the future be a posibility to make gravel automaticly appear under railway tracks? With the flex-tracks I would assume it to be harder to know where to place the gravel. Is this is something that you know would manage to implant in a distant future? It would make railway building alot easier.

Probably easier to make a carriage like railcraft's undercutter cart that places gravel under the tracks as it goes along.
On the subject of mod requests. Naiten: would you be able/willing to make it so you turn with the stock while riding it? I've tried to do something similar with one of my blocks in my mod, but without access to the ROW code I can only make it work when the block is loaded client-side. The code to do so would go in setRotation, or whatever update event you use to control the stock rotation, and would look something like this:
I started the construction of a new railway, and if somebody want to see some pictures, I have a few here. Not much on it a the moment other than two towns, some bridges and a small industrial area. The pictures is also still not of the best quality, sins I have a bad computer and can't "see" to far in Minecraft.
A small bridge crossing a river. The river was generated by the "streams mod". (And if anybody wants to use it, you should only use it on a new world. I found out that it have some issue when used on a world where you already have railway tracks. They turn to water...)
A second bridge, and a small town.
Yet another bridge. I promisse. No more bridges now. The area arround the railway will be better detailed with farms, roads, houses and so on along the tracks.
A part of the second town. Yet some work to be done here. The morning express passing by.
The start of an industrial area, where there will be a mining railway, factories, chemical plants and so on. Here is also a locomotive shed, and the ability to turn the trains around. Still much work to be done to give it an industrial feel.

I can't wait for the narrow gauge update for the next version of RoW. Hopefully the mod would be more say, "Laptop friendly" with graphics because when I use the mod on my laptop, (A Toshiba windows 8 gotten on Christmas back in 2012) the mod is slow to a crawl even with GL turned on and the graphics settings on the lowest levels.

Ah, a fellow laptop user! I see I'm not the only one using low-spec tech (hand-me down '08 Toshiba) for high-quality trains. I've got a couple of tips for eking out a little more speed, if you're interested.
First, you can actually have too small a render distance. I find that setting mine to the 2-block minimum actually makes my computer slower than the 5 block setting I use. This is especially true if I'm running ChickenChunks.
Second, try running the game in the 'regular' windowed mode. This gives me about 10 more FPS. IIRC it has to do with the Java machine not needing to spend time enlarging the game's graphics to fit the larger window/full-screen.
Third, any of the large stock is a killer for FPS. I can have a yard full of chers and track, but the moment I put down a Yer or Ov my FPS tanks. In one yard I have 3 Yers, 1 Ov and tender, 6 pieces of stock, and 1-5FPS. As you can imagine, I don't go there often.
Yeah that was uncalled for
Rails of War
also
ROWAM
Minecraft Model Railroad
MC Flight Simulator
Quite right, my dear fellow! We must not set an example for the trolls, for they flock to flippancy like creepers to a diamond-laden miner!
On a related note that's not related to trains, the request for slime blocks in 1.7.10 has been processed and fulfilled.

STOP! Pleeeeease don't feed the trolls. XD
Thank you Don, did you see my response to your early post?
Did you try shift-left clicking by any chance.

Cool could you post the link?

Love the mod, anyone know when the next update is gonna be realised? Roughly?
I don't think you should be saying that, just wait.
I didn't intend it to be like that, im just curios if the dev has said anything about it yet
