I tested the new pipes, they are quite fine and balanced, since you can upgrade them up to 20 times But I found some more or interessting missbehaviour between Energy Management and Liquid Management. If I put an Item Transfer Node on a machine (which will suck out the item just fine) it will get power, but no liquids. For liquids you need an extra normal pipe to pipe liquid in. Intended?
Would you consider making a GitHub for Extra Utilities so we can see, or would you rather keep the code private?
I would expect he would want to keep them private, it is his work and all. Being a one man team and being a small (nut no less awesome) mod maker, I think would encourage to keep it private by default. Meh, that's just my thoughts on it.
Anyway, I love the new upgrades and nodes for the transfer system, good job! As you had mentioned, take a break from it for a little while. Work on something else, heck, just go and play, whatever you want! Really appreciate the update man!
I would love to see it being changed This would help greatly with Forestry Machines. With ThermalExpansions Machines though it wouldnt matter at all I guess, since they have these special insertion GUI thingies.
Another Thing I wanted to suggest is, to add an estimation overlay for the angelblock. Like a preview where the block would actually being placed
On our server a player connected a transfer node to a vanilla hopper, now anytime that chunk gets loaded, it immediately crashes the server. Here is the crash log from the console http://pastebin.com/hsZxEYxq
I just checked and we are a few versions behind on T. Construct, I'll update as soon as we can to see if that fixes it. Thanks for the quick and helpful response!
Can you help me understand exactly how your sorting pipes and transfer pipes system works? When I look at the Transfer Node I see it searching X/Y/Z coordinates for a 'viable location' to send something. I thought I understood how they worked but I guess I do not.
I've got a line of eight chests going from left to right. The far left chest is the "drop box" with an attached transfer node. The other 7 chests have sorting pipes attached, with the exception of the far right chest which has a normal transfer pipe. Whenever I put something into the 'drop box chest' that doesn't already exist in the other seven chests...it should end up in the far right chest with the transfer pipe right? Not in an empty chest somewhere in the middle that has a sorting pipe attached?
I have a Bug to report. The bug in question causes the server to crash.
This is what happens:
1. have a bee in inventory
2. open a "golden bag of holding"
3. Shift-Click bee into bag of holding
4. Right-click on an apiary(forestry) while holding the "golden bag of holding" in your hand
5. Server Crashes

Extra Utilities 0.2.3a
Forestry For Minecraft 2.2.6.3(585)

I'm afraid I cannot replicate this and I can't find anything in my code that would cause this sort of behavior. Can you get me a copy of the crash log?
we dont have a copy of the log as it dosent cause us to crash but we might be able to get our server owner to post it for you.
Correct, unless one of the chests is completely empty. The sorting pipe will insert only if there is another item of the same type inside or if the chest is completely empty.
The big problem I am having is that items are completely bypassing chests that they should be going into .. and ending up in the 'catch all chest" at the end with the standard transfer pipe hooked up to it. The best example of this is Amber, which constantly whips straight past another chest I have with TONS of amber already in it (same item ID).. and ends up in chest #8 instead at the far right. Certain items just refuse to go where they are supposed to, always ending up at the end of the line.
Strange it should work. Are you using a single straight line of pipes, because if there's any forks in the line the transfer node chooses a direction randomly, so it may miss the amber chest. If that's not it, just post a screenshot of the build and I'll see if I can figure what's going on.
I must have a fork in the line somewhere, then. I do have a 2nd line of piping used for moving stuff in and out of my Thermal Expansion machines, but that 'should' (in theory.. famous last words) be at least a couple of blocks away at the closest point. I have never had crossover -yet-, I just have stuff that seems to skip chests. I'll go pull up the floorboards and see what's what.
Quick follow up note.. do you have any suggestions for methods of keeping two adjacent transfer nodes from connecting to each other? I used to use RedPower2's covers and panels for this kind of thing with my piping and tubing back in 1.4.7 but as we know, RP2 isn't updated for 1.5.2 yet so I do not have that option.
I wonder if signs or item frames can be used to block nodes from connecting? Hmm, time to test!
I have a question. The Peaceful Nether Star Recipe requires 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls, but how does someone get them if they're in peaceful? It doesn't really make sense to me.
It looks like an awesome mod with tons of content. It looks like it is very useful.
Also, when making a watering can in peaceful (without the bonemeal), you could have it where it automatically is damaged half or something.
Thanks

I believe this is where the Peaceful Table comes in; it allows you to get mob drops .. without the spawning mobs.
I'v recently been working with Cursed Earth to make a mob spawner, and I seem to be running into trouble making Cursed Earth do its thing under certain controlled circumstances. I know the maximum light amount before burnage is about 8 or 9, but is there a minimum light level need? Does it have to be under the sky? Are there larger space requirements than normal mob spawning?
I had all of these conditions correct, and mobs did not spawn in an area until I disconnected from the server I was testing on and reconnected. I'm glad it works like I thought it did, though. Using Cursed Earth in conjunction with MineFactory Reloaded makes for a good replacement for Soul Shards, I find.
Hey i noticed that the transfer nodes don't save the items inside in single player. Lost a few stacks of coal and charcoal just by closing the game. Im using the latest version 0.2.3b
I'm getting a dupe bug (in Survival mode, mind you) with the Filter Upgrades. I'm applying them to Nodes, but they don't remove themselves from my inventory. Later, if I break a Node, I get a copy of the Filter Upgrade back.
And how bout those tiered spikes I mentioned before
