do you think you could make a separate mod for the creative buider's wand? I've been looking for a mod that does what the wand does, but you can bind it to an item with a command, and no luck :/
I'm not that good with java (programming in general actually), so I was hoping that you could make it.
I'ts very rare (I keep going back and forth on how rare I want it to be), there are several sources, dungeons, strongholds, desert/jungle pyramids [...] It's also a rare drop from the wither boss, if you're feeling lucky.
Thanks.
I finaly found one, in a Zombie-Dungeon next to the third Stronghold.
So I need some help figuring out how to get steam transferred to some Industrial Steam Engines from my Railcraft high pressure steam boiler. I have a liquid transfer node connected to the boiler and from there it goes into a single transfer pipe. Along that pipe are the 4 Ind steam engines, 2 on each side of the pipe. All of them connect to the steam boiler and the engines are getting power. The issue is that the first two engines closest to the boiler seem to get almost all of the power. Each is running at about 8mj which is the max for that engine I believe. The two engines sitting directly behind them on that same line are only running at about half speed and that goes up and down. Finally, at the end of this pipe is a 5th engine which is a commercial steam engine which always runs at full speed. Also, the high pressure steam boiler is the max size you can make and I have run with as many as 12 ind steam engines off this same setup in 1.5.2 so I am pretty sure the boiler is putting out plenty of power.
I have tried placing speed upgrades in the liquid node and that does speed up the overall output. I have also played around connecting different pipes (sorting, rationing) but nothing seems to allow those last two engines in the line to run at the same speed. It is like the first two engines take all of the steam and the ones directly behind it are just getting what is left over. However the engine at the end of the stream seems fine. I suspect this is operator error but don't know the best course to correct it.
Maybe I just need run separate pipes with their own transfer node to each of the pairs of engines? In my 1.5.2 world I had 9 TE liquiducts connected to the side of the same type of boiler (a setup that Direwolf20 used in his LP series), all merging into a single line that fed 12 Ind steam engines. I only mention the other technique as an example of what my ideal setup would be for getting steam out of the boiler and to the engines.
Yeah, steam engines are pretty much the worst possible situation for liquid transfer nodes. They require large amounts of steam to be transfered but have very small internal storage that regularly needs to be refilled. There's not a lot I can do about it at the moment.
My advice would be to put the engines directly on the boiler and connect them to wooden kinesis pipes, that way steam transfers directly to the engines with no chance of losing steam. It's a bit awkward to build but it should work at max effeciency.
Your suggestion worked great. It isn't elegant looking, but it works. I used your energy transfer nodes connected directly to the engines and ran transfer pipes to the machines I needed to power. All engines are running at max capacity.
So, I connected a liquid transfer node to the side of my tiny little steam boiler, and it filled with steam ("Huzzah!" I said!), and ran a small length of pipe to my hobbyist's steam engine (I have already ran water pipes to both, and they work wonderfully), but to my dismay, the engine will not fill with steam! The pipe connects to the engine, and there is no other destination for it, yet it will not transfer!
Does anyone know if there is some trick to getting steam engines to accept steam from these pipes?
Edit: I'm retarded. It would help if the engine was turned on. Problem Solved, return to your normal activities, citizens!
Is there an easy way to change recipes? The blackout curtain recipe conflicts with the cape recipe from the Aether and I always just get the cape. I suppose I could go get some colored wool that doesn't make a cape (I think blackout curtains can use all colors, right?), but I'd like to be able to just change the recipe somehow.
Hey, I am trying to find out what I am doing wrong with my liquid sorting. I looked back a couple of posts, and forgive my ignorance of not knowing how to quote, and found this: "You have to use an item filter and double-click a slot with a bucket.".
I think this is a bug (those 2 in the middle are forge mutlipart blocks) but I really like that those doesn't connect, because you can build with it really nice stuff
Can anyone help me with how to use the drum? I managed to fill drum a bit using liquid transfer nodes, but every time I break it the drum loses all of its contents. Silk touch didn't work as well. I'm currently using Prerelease 4.
the peaceful table is not working its been down with a chest beside it for 10-15 minecraft days but im not getting anything in the chest
just to make sure, are you playing the game in "peaceful" mode? the table is specifically for those people that want to play in peaceful but still have the ability to get mob drop items like zombie brains, skeleton bones, and wither stars, etc... which are normally unavailable when playing in peaceful mode... if you play in any other mode, the table does NOTHING!!!
A suggestion: an upgrade to the vanilla ender chest that makes it player-specific with which ender chest inventory it is linked to so that other players, machines, pipes, and such can interact with it. I don't know how difficult this would be. I assume that the vanilla ender chest simply references a sort of second player inventory and the reference changes depending on who opened it. If this is the case (I know nothing of the mechanics code-wise) then the upgrade would reference a specific inventory instead.
If this would be too difficult, you don't like it, or I am totally confused on the mechanics involved, feel free to shoot the idea down. As I said, it's just a suggestion.

Today I was using some transfer nodes, liquid and item, on two coke ovens. The coke ovens are 1 block apart, and I had 4 nodes all right next to eachother, 1 item and 1 liquid on each oven. Connected the pipes to a railcraft tank, and also to a vanilla single chest which I temporarily placed on the ceiling (it couldn't be opened). which had an AE import bus on it. Then one of these things I believe caused the server to crash, and it will not start up again. I'm about to mcedit those blocks out to try to fix it. Here is the crashlog i got. The initial crash and the restart are identical. <3 transfer nodes. This was definitely not the smartest way to try to hook them up on my part Consider me a good bug tester

Isn't that what EnderChest does?
Did you put a sword in the upper left? When I am on peaceful, they work like a charm.
