Hai~ I wanted to do a mod review for this mod because like Ruthimaru I also love Lapiz Lazuli so seeing this I impulsively downloaded it. Also because your name is Peter and my name is Peter. PETER PARTY WOOOO!
Anyway I wanted to do a mod review or spotlight but I can't seem to install it properly @__@ I did put it in the jar but it's just not being detected by forge.
Didn't find any texture problems, yet! All looks real good, man! =]
You just fix'd a major bug, but have you thought about implementing the "drag-and-drop into mods folder" installation, yet? Don't wanna seem too needy, but it would make installing convenient.
Open up the .zip or .jar file in 7-zip, and go through the levels until you get into the folder containing a folder called ps and one called Lapis-something. Put those folders into your minecraft.jar. At least, that's how I got it to work. =]
Hey! Me and my friend used to make a mod like this but with more armor and tools! But then my friend discontinued it... :/ ... He did all the coding when I did all the textures! Since I don't want them to go to waste... You might want to have them! They are the exact colors of lapis and very detailed! :
Thank you for offering the textures, but I'e already got everything that I need. As for having less tools, I'm preparing a new update at this time. Hopefully my work will be worth it.
So, I've put up an update for the mod. As one may expect, I've mostly added tools in this update. I was working on something somewhat seecret (that typo was intentional, so I hope you get the reference), but I decided to release this part of the code early. Up to this point, all of this has been rather uninteresting. I'm going to try to add more unique features to this mod, to really let it shine the way it was meant to. In summary, there shouldn't be much of interest that I've added (unless of course, you were just here for the lapis tools and armor to begin with). This is also the point where I/we have to decide which direction this mod goes in (metaphorically). I encourage everybody to keep posting ideas and enjoying whatever mod material I can currently supply. I hope that, with support, this mod can grow to its full potential. For now, I'd like to wish you all happy minecrafting and leave you to mess around with the mod.
How's it going man. Quick question, is it okay if I do a spotlight on this mod?
Also, I might of found a bug with your mod. Maybe it's just NEI or forge, but I uploaded a video to explain it. It should actually be up in maybe 10+ minutes. Here's the link. Maybe someone else can explain that already knows of it.
Also, love the mod and dig the new updated. Can't wait to see where you go with reinforced lapis.
Edit: I think the next update might have something to do with ocean/water related stuff.
Edit edit: Link wasn't working, going to reupload.

I actually have a policy of encouraging people to do mod spotlights, so you can go right ahead and do that if you so choose. I do want to warn you that this mod is still in a very early alpha stage, so it won't be that great at the moment.
As for the bug, I personally can only make an educated guess why this is happening. I would assume that forge just needs to be updated or something (I haven't checked my link to it recently). Other than that, NEI does have some quirks on some computers. Until I hear of another case of this bug, I may just have to suggest that you check for mod updates. I do have to ask for jar specs or a console log, though. It just makes it easier to examine what might have gone wrong (if anything) with the code.
On a side note, I had a different update in mind that had a bit less to do with the ocean, but I'll try to challenge myself to think of something. The community has plenty of power when it comes to mods.

Alright thanks. I think I know what it is. I might've needed NEI Plugins. =P
Also, I LOVE the fact that it's a WIP. I'm possibly thinking of doing an update spotlight for each version. Would be pretty interesting.
Thanks for the help though. Diamond to you.
Hey I'm a bit confused with lapis gems and reinforced lapis, what are there crafting recipes? And am I right in saying that lapis gem tools and armour are the same as iron (with strength and durability) and the reinforced is between iron and diamond?
And also with the upcoming features (lapis themed structures, mobs and dimension) I'm not entirely sure at the moment that I (and possibly others) would like them, could you (not necessarily when you add them could be later) add a config to disable things? I haven't seen them so I'm not sure but (particularly with mobs) with a lot of mods they are quite weird
Thanks, pyroarcher99

The lapis gem is crafted by placing four lapis in a crafting bench in a diamond shape. Currently, the reinforced lapis has no use, though (That'll be in the next update). My suggestion to look up these recipes would be to use a mod such as NEI to look them up. As for the mobs and structures, I'm going to try and keep the mobs in the overworld as benign as I can, and I'm going to replace the structures with a series of dimensions accessed through a type of branched stack hierarchy. I'll still try to include a config file nonetheless.
If you have any issues with the new plan, just let me know (I'm mostly going to leave the lapis armor code untouched for the next few updates, so you don't have to worry about this mod getting too out of hand).

Ok does the reinforced lapis have a recipe/planned recipe?
Also what is the strength of the tools and armour made with lapis gems? And what is the planned strength of the reinforced lapis tools and armour?
Also the reason I can't look up the recipes using NEI is because I currently don't have access to my PC (I am posting on my iPad)
What are Stone Reinforcement Struts?
Btw when I can get to my computer next I will probably do a mod spotlight (just giving you a heads-up)
Will post back with any issues!

So certain dimensions will only be accessible through other dimensions?
And I, for one, love the idea of the mobs, dimensions, and structures.
