how long is too long to wait for an explosion to happen? I am working on explosion code, and It takes 26s to make a hole 160 blocks across and 15 deep (does account for blast resistances, so things in obsidian houses live, does not drop blocks for lag reasons).
Also, how many blocks should I put as a limit for maximum number to allow for blocks to drop?

How do I install the mod? I installed minecraft forge nothing seem to work
Its for Forge version 7.7.0 not 7.7.1 which is current.
Sorry about that but in the process of adding stuff, stuff and other stuff breaks, thats why patches tend to come in large updates instead of continual small ones. Once beta starts I will try to release new versions the on same day new versions of Forge comes out.

The turrets should be able to shoot down ballistic missiles, I got them to do at least that much.
Edit: New picture. The outer radius is about 150 blocks, the inner is about 36. This is a blast that affects over 300 chunks. Took me a horrendous 1min 20s to do though, I need to get the blast time lower.
The 1min 20s has since been dropped to 6s.
Edit: Increased back up to 12-20s, as allowed it to hit weak blocks further out

O_O that wasn't what i meant. You see, if obsidians survives a NUKE its not realistic. Heck, real life obsidian wouldn't survive Tnt! Plus, you can make reinforced stone/glass in IC2 to survive nukes. If you don't use that system use something similar. Dumping water on a lava pool and then mining it shouldn't be the steps to make a Nuke proof base.
Tanks should be able to drive at an upwards angle to go up 1 block steep hills. And mechs would have an onboard reactors so it could generate on the fly and not lose power slowly from the battery. Instead of a giant battery that u need to charge every 10000 EU, an onboard reactor could run 10000 EU from uranium and have some with it. Reactor and 10 uranium: 100000 EU Battery: 10000 Of course the mech would be unstable.
Edit: AND very very expensive to build and power. But why not if ur rich?
I haven't reduced obsidian's explosion resistance. The only reason why it does not survive IC2 nukes is because IC2 drastically nerfs obsidian.
Have you ever looked at the default blast resistance for obsidian?
I know. IC2 nerfs it cause they don't want to put the Nuke explosion riduculously high, and it still survives all explosions before the nuke. Don't overpower obsidian.

Have you considered EMP satilites? Like from Goldeneye 007. And it might be better to use some Universal Electricity mod integration along with IC2 because, ICMB has great launchers. and perhaps to put satilaites into orbit, you launch them on a rocket and they recieve power wirelessly (ex. attach a device that destributes EU and have the EU set to channels so when you set the satiltie channel to 1 and the distributer to 1, the satilite gets power) Great addon, I hope to see it grow into a massive addon like Gregtech some day

Ok. Maybe you could use a battery equipment system. And the lasers and stuff is what I mean. The energy comparison was just an example. Still, it would be good for long term missions and exploring, plus you can use all the good guns. Whatever you decide. I just got the inspiration from a game, a few REAL vehicles, and some thinking.

Satellites and all will be actual Entities in the space dimension. When you go into space itll be like the nether where you travel faster in the overworld, except much faster and you also have to worry about orbital mechanics. Drop pods will have to travel through space somehow, perhaps on a rocket or dropped from a teleported-to station like you suggested. Sadly I'm pretty sure I won't have the time to version 2 unless I get more people on the team however.

You should make this have an option where you can use buildcraft or ic3 power.... Then make it use about.... 50,000 EU for ic3 and somewhat like that for buildcraft. This would make EMP systems less overpowered. And also make it where it takes 50,000 to toggle the EMP per pulse.
A few suggestions of mine, an infantry deployed aircraft with 80 block range. Mabye equipped with a light warhead for anti-player purposes? How about some type of mine/ no fuse TnT to protect your base from saboteurs? It would be nice to have some type of aerial escort or remote controlled drones; though they would have decently short ranges. There should be RC turrets or ground support, with the option to leave it automated. I have no idea what approach you're goning to take, but take what you feel is right. I really appreciate your work.

If I make drones RC then It wouldn't be much harder to make turrets RC. But the turret targeting as it is is currently as good if not better than a player manually aiming. Fortunately I've been getting good with GL so Ill probably make it so you have the same view as the drone; I believe theres another mod thats already done this.
And I may not do this depending on how difficult it is. The prototype drones will just seek out the nearest enemy.

Edit: This sized blast will destroy obsidian if it is a direct hit. Even with obsidian's absurd blast resistance.
