I've seen just a few people having trouble with the mob spawn overlay and chunk overlay in NEI and I also had the same problem, I fixed it by going into the config file and changing the Use Pixel/Vertex Shaders to false and the overlay works fine. Not sure if it will change anything else but at least it will show me where mobs will spawn. And also awsome mod MachineMuse!!!
I may be wrong, but I think the new font is actively causing me to lag. When I install the mod, regardless of whether any of the armor or blocks are rendering, I lag, and this only started since the build that had the new font. Plus, it just seems . . extraneous, not to mention rather hideous as far as a font goes (especially in order to look techy). I could be wrong, it could be conjunction with other mods, but the constant lag only starts when I have the mod installed.
Is the constant flickering when the night vision is on really that way or is it a bug with OptiFine or something? I understand that the effect is applied so often to make it turn off right after you turn it off, but it's REALLY annoying, it gives me headaches... I'd rather have to wait five seconds or so to have it turn off rather than the entire screen flicker so much.
Tested now, the Atum helmet [Ra's Glory] also gives permanent Night Vision and constantly reapply the bonus [IIRC in the previous version it only did it when the effect was almost running out], but it doesn't makes the screen flicker. I'm sad now ):
How much ram does MPS need to run? I gave Minecraft 1 gig, then 2 gigs, finally I gave it 6 gigs and it still wasn't enough I only have 8 gigs of ram total should I buy more or is this a bug? This only happens with MPS installedand it seems random. It happens less frequently if I only have MPS and Thermal Expansion installed, but removing MPS seems to stop it completely no matter what else is installed. I can get you a crash report if you need it but I'm on my tablet and the report is on my PC.
I've been searching this thread trying to figure out why does the bottom of my screen keeps flashing when I pick up the power glove. Also when I open a tinker table it starts flashing like crazy and when I try to exit out of the tinker table it stays there flashing except a little square I can see the game and walk around. This bug makes the game unplayable and I cant find a solution to this can someone please help me? I am using tekkit and that is it I don't have any other mods. Also, I have updated it to the newest one and it still does that, but when I go back to the last update it is fine but I can not play multiplayer and that's all I do.
The glitch is due to Optifine not being updated for later forge builds, it affects most UE mods.
There is a temp fix for this for Modular Powersuits though.
You can fix this problem by going into mmmPowersuits.cfg in the configs folder and setting this to the following options:
"Font Anti-Aliasing"=false*
"Use Custom Font Engine"=false*
Hope this helps to anybody else having the same glitch.
Thanks to EzerArch and mjksull for the guidance and suggestions. I *may* have gotten it fixed. I copied the config files from the FTB Ultimate directory to the mindcrack directory. Can't test it right now as my friend who's server I was playing on is down for mainteneance. I've been playing on a FTB ultimate server the last few days and it works great there. Now I have a question regarding use: With the jetpack installed, whenever I press forward (bound to "e" in my case) or backward (bound to "d" in my case) the jet pack no longer climbs or maintains altitude. I have to release the forward or backward keys, then the jet pack will start to rise again, but as soon as I press forward or backward again, I start to descend (not fall--as in full speed, but descend quickly, as if the jet pack is on half throttle.) This makes the jetpack useful only for preventing fall damage, for the most part. I can't imagine this being the design of the suit, so I was wondering if anybody else has had this issue and a fix?

The problem I also have is that my powersuit has a durability bar and from what I understand it's not supposed to. Again this is probably caused by mod interactions.

Yet all the items have no crafting recepies, even though the necessary items exist (like steel plates, basic circuits, etc). Only mods installed are various UE mods, IC2, buildcraft, and NEI, all fully up to date. Is this a known issue, or am I doing something wrong?

For all of you having issues with UE recipes, since the removal of Basic Components we no longer have the items we used to be able to make the recipes out of. None of the other big "item" UE mods have APIs so it's not looking very good to be able to keep those running. =/

My understanding of it was that Basic Components was removed but if a mod needed some items or blocks that were in Basic Components they could still be coded in and used, without having the Basic Components mod installed. Not quite sure how those are actually coded in, but I've seen it done in many mods that used Basic Components before it was removed. The forge log actually still mentions many things about Basic Components items when it's initializing mods, even though I don't have the mod installed. But if it's not happening for modular powersuits then I guess I'll use IC2 recepies instead. Would love to have the UE recepies back though!
