I think anyone has the right of getting mad at someone else. Yes, because we do have reasons for it.
I think anyone has the right of thinking bad things about someone else. Idem.
I have even the right of writing a big post bashing someone. As long as I delete it before posting. ;-)
We are at a forum where all kind of people meet up. Seeing something that is not that pleasant is expectable.
As a person who has dealt with people for years, I learned that anything "bad" I do to someone, even though I have reasons for it (if I have powers, it's an aggravating factor), it will weigh against me in a conflict, even though I have the point and the other is plain wrong.
If we need to explain, correct, warn, refrain, punish or ban someone, it must be done it in a respectfully way because people do expect it from those in charge of something, specially if you are talented person or doing something noteworthy....... unless people simply don't care about what you are doing.
Hey machinemuse, do you have any intentions of adding a cool hud to the helm? Maybe one that shows mob hp, how much heat from lava, etc the suit is taking, not heat generated by use of modules? And maybe a short burst of energy that moves you far away fast?
As someone who makes an effort to unofficially moderate this forum from time to time, I can understand where Machinemuse is coming from when she decides to let loose on people.
Personally, having been on the recieving end of it before, I can understand that people might not like it, but there's one basic, underlying truth to this that means that she really does get her way:
This is her mod. If she wants to share it with you and everyone else, then that's her choice, and by using it, you sign up for whatever comes along with it.
Besides, if people don't read the very simple rules, and abide by them, then they deserve whatever's coming to them. And that, of course, is at MachineMuse's discression.

Hud is in the works, check the to-do.
And the movement. Blink Drive?
Hey, I've been using the dev builds for my 1.5.2 server, and I'm currently using Forge build 707, due to Optifine users and stuff. Is it possible to find the most recent MPS build that used Forge build 707 or lower? I know MPS always uses the latest Forge, but I don't know exactly when.
Are the graphical glitches, missing textures in the latest dev versions due to this mod or interactions with other mods? I'm having trouble pinning down what is causing it.
Have you tried reselecting your texture pack, or deleting your options.txt in your minecraft folder. That helped me.
I had an idea and I didn't see it on the to-do list so I thought I'd voice it here. How about an emergency teleporter module? It would bring you back to a predesignated place for massive energy drain. Perhaps upgrades to the helmet would let you select destination coordinates. Thanks for any consideration you put into this.
I prefer to see posts like these. No rude or snarky comments. Short and to the point and they only take you 30 seconds of your time since you were already on this page anyway.
A few pages ago you posted about how Bibliocraft added support for custom armour rendering but someone had beaten you to it the page before. He politely pointed that out and you apologised explaining you don't read this thread much. Hurray! Now you know how it feels when every idiot and his dog comes here in the hope to support something they love or get help with something that wasn't immediately obvious to them and receives a polite response. Because they don't follow the thread either. I would prefer no reply than to have a rude reply.
There's another thread I follow, the one for Millenaire. The author really only posts change logs and occasionally asks about a nasty bug he's working on. Most of the technical support is done by other users some of whom have more direct access to the author. What isn't responded to by the users is ignored. His mod has been around since very early on and is popular so it stands to reason that this model works, at least for the most part, for the author and his fans. I have seen people say they will uninstall the mod but only for technical reasons and usually with the premise that they will reinstall when it is fixed. No-one has uninstalled because the author didn't tell them what this particular key bind is. No response is better than a rude one.
Why should what you prefer matter to her? Also, people uninstalling her mod because they thought she was rude probably also doesn't matter to her. It's not because she made a mod that she wants it to be popular. And that includes giving technical support to lazy users, no one paid her, so you can't demand that she helps you when you find a bug/don't know how to do something/etc. Not being rude would be better? Maybe, but she's the only one that needs to decide that. Being rude to people has consequences, and if she's willing to live with them, no one has anything to do with that, you're not required to play this mod, should you not want to.
I don't follow the Better Than Wolves thread, but I heard that the hate Flowerchild gathers is similar, he made the mod the way he wanted to and he's not required to give a single crap to what the players think of it.
I usually don't bother replying to posts like that but, heh, that was fun.
I have found a few bugs for the power tool, and it would be great if you could patch them.
Plasma Cannon energy balls can be shot through one block walls, doors, glass panes, etc. when standing directly next to the barrier.
The Blink Drive can be used to teleport through one block walls, when standing very close to the wall, similar to the Plasma Cannon.
These were discovered by my friend on my private Yogcraft server version 1.4.7. He constantly exploits these bugs to troll any poor soul in his sights.
Fixing these wouldn't require server owners to ban the Power Tool or it's corresponding components in order to keep players playing the game as it should be. Thanks ahead of time!
This. It is Machinemuse's mod and we should be honored that she shares it with us.
(Btw is your name a spinoff of Whitera's name?)
Not really, just a name I made up a loooong time ago [more than ten years now] when I was playing Legend of Mana. My cousin used to put his name on the characters and I thought "man, I don't wanna do that, it's pretty lame". So I sat there thinking of a name, but only for a couple seconds, because that name formed in my mind pretty quickly. Or at least I recall it that way.
Tried with/without Optifine; with/without Twilight Forest (was functional without all last night but started again this morning)*; haven't deleted the options.txt, but will give that a go too. I've tried three different texture packs (Sphax (x64), Soar (x64) & Default)
*mentioned in another thread as being a potential source of the issue.
Also having this problem. Have you made any progress finding the source of it?
Is there a reason as to why the Power Gauntlet does not work on some mod wood and gravel/sand blocks, as well as glass? For instance, try chopping down Greatwood or Silverwood from TC3 using even a max overclock axe module. Same applies to the Natura trees (eucaliptus, etc) and MineFactory rubber trees. I think the Natura gravel ores aren't supported by the shovel module, either.
I seem to have a problem with the power tool I cannot switch modes on. Like when you shift and scroll to switch. It will not work for me. Everyone on my server can do it but me... any suggestions?

Let's be forgiving to one another and have fun.

What is the recipe for the Lux Capacitor??? NEI isn't showing it....
I'm afraid you can't craft lux capacitors, if I didn't misunderstand you.
You need to install the lux capacitor module in your power fist (it requires 1 glowstone dust and 2 iron ingots), then use it.

Bug reports go on the github. If you post them here it's likely Muse won't see them.
