Now these are the ones that I think need boosting:
Earth - What about giving this zanpakuto the ability to alter terrain such as raise mountains or even create dirt blocks. Maybe even as a defence measure it could make a dirt wall that would dissapear after awhile to avoid spamming of this move? Not knowing what you guys could do with it I am only throwing suggestions out there.
Wind - Maybe add a power that allows you to push or pull enemies to and away from you. Jump boost is nice.
Light - Maybe a solar beam type attack that comes from the sky or the zanpakuto that can inflict fire damage? Works only in sunlight and as Headshot suggested grants light bonuses.
Dark - This one to me is in real need of boosting, I have never felt like giving mobs blindness has ever helped me as no matter what they can still get me. Maybe give it what headshot suggested but to give it a fighting chance maybe throw in a dark like attack. Maybe something like the getsuga but like a dark type energy ball/blast.
Normal - Another tough one, maybe it could have the ability to extend itself like Gin's Zanpakuto, don't want to steal his swords power but maybe something along thoes lines.
Heal - Can't think anything for this one at the moment.
Now this is something I have also wanted to suggest, maybe cut back on some of the shikai perks and give them to bankai. I see the Zanpakuto in its unreleased state as your normal weapon with no perks. A shikai grants you increased power with maybe one player assist power and one attack power. The Bankai is where everything could be added for real power.
That is a good idea for earth, and I was thinking of doing something like that a while ago, but never got around to it.
For wind again, another good idea, but I'll have to work on it for a while to get it right.
Light and Dark do need something better, but I've never tried rendering things such as lightning. However, you may yet see this in a future update

I agree with Jrich144 for the most part, my only difference is that the Lightning Type definitely needs either fire resistance or some sort of modded lightning resistance. Even when you've reached the ceiling for this mod (1000 reiatsu, full armor, mask, etc.) the Lightning Shikai effect will still wipe out a quarter of your health when you use it. It's practically useless at lower levels due to the fact it can kill you half the time.
I love the Earth Type Wall abilities, as I've always seen the Earth Element as defensive, in pretty much every instance (A:TLA anyone?), so the ability to create a temporary wall would be pretty cool. It seems a little too powerful for shikai, however. The only Shikai that would be able to beat it would be Lunar, for obvious reasons.
The Wind Type leaf blower thing seems pretty cool, but again it seems a little too powerful for shikai, especially if the player using wind is good at juggling using the knockback.
Heal Type the only thing I can think of would be to make absorption an effect of the zanpakuto has upon release, then when you hold right click you heal all friendly mobs in your area.
Did you ever add bankai. And add zangetsu to swords.

I've been following this mod for a little while now, and I love it. Being a Quincy is just too awesome.
I have a small idea for the zanpakuto when it isn't in Shikai. When you first craft it, it could be one of three different sizes depending on your spirit energy. The smallest size would be the standard zanpakuto, the biggest would be basically like Ichigo's zanpakuto during the beginning episodes, and the middle being just that. It would just be for aesthetics, but still pretty cool. Maybe.
I absolutely love this mod, I have it installed on my server, I do have some notes/bugs:
1. Hollow spawn rate is EXTREMELY low, as in, us running around in different directions and only finding 2 hollows within the timespan of 2 minecraft days (in a Mystcraft Flat terrain age, no caves) is pretty low. Is that supposed to be or is it a bug?
2. The Zanpakuto is called the Baconator (by default)? Its either a joke from you guys or a bug or a ID conflict, latter one I have already done some research on, can't find anything.
3. This might have someting with point nr. 2, but None of us gain points from slaying hollows. Our Reiatsu goes up but none of our swords gain points, Yes, We have all named them. We spawned in some mobs, fighting in survival, No points, again, Bug or doing something wrong?
That was everything I have to say really I absolutely love the idea and hope to see more things in the future ^^
1. Do you happen to have a mod which adds new biomes? Because the Hollows only spawn in vanilla biomes. If not, that seems a little weird, I'll look into it. We purposely have the spawn rate low because there's so many types, it should cancel out the low spawn rate. But not that low...
2. ...Baconator? Aside from that being a pretty awesome sword name, I don't know where that came from If you use the command /resettype, it should get rid of that if your sword's name is set to that, then just rename your sword whatever you want.
3. We've had some trouble with this bug. It only seems to affect a few people. (Read up a few posts) No idea why, but hollows only drop their drops and give points about 30% of the time for some people. Other people, it works fine. It's... really weird :/
in my opinion, its a bit unbalanced. the zanpakuto and soul reaper armor are too weak for what they cost, and the hollows are too strong.
Not really, sure you spend ages making the gear but you don't want to be a super power weapon after you make them. Once you make the gear you become a soul reaper and you average soul reaper does have trouble against hollows. To be honest I haven't had that much trouble with hollows that I found the armour weak.
Shikais give you that extra edge that allow you to get a slight upper hand on the battlefield. Eventually there will be a kido system added to also make things easier to fight hollows.

With wind yeah maybe it is a little to powerful for shikai, I was just thinking of a way to give wind a weapon that wasn't something that delays enemies. Maybe like a little tornado/twister that keeps enemies in a single spot for 2-4 seconds. Or even a wind blast/slice attack thats not overpowered.
Now that you mention Kenpachi normal wouldn't be that useless if you gave it power percs and there are some attacks that you could give it that could fit into the normal category such as ones that use the spiritual pressure of the user.

Are you telling me you forgot about KENPACHI!!! The psychotic, eye-patch wearing, weapon of mass destruction that literally doesn't give enough of a damn to learn Shikai?
Nope. It would be useful if it did, but I'd rather see a direct way of healing yourself. The absorption is cool, but it takes a while to cast and doesn't offset the damage very much. That, and healing is a pain in the ass to get, seeing as the hollow that gives it is the second rarest.
Also, I'd like to express my gratitude towards the modding team for something. While in creative, you have a separate tab for items from this mod. Not enough mods do that, and it saves me a large amount of time compared to other mods.

why not take after hanataros ability and when you strike somebody with a health zanpakuto they could get regeneration
