I'd still like to see the same, or better graphics than the original, though...

One of its strong points is its visual appeal, and a good clone must retain that.

Sadly, the graphics are one part image files, and one part programmed effects /:

And ofc, Soaryn has showed his willingness to take clones down, regardless.

And they were very well spent!

Doesn't he still have a few followers/supporters that are copyright trolls and will go out of their way to sabotage or de-mean any existing, upcoming, or planned xycraft clones?

"for good reason" , is probably an understatement, imo.

For those that want xycraft for newer versions. Project X 2 is the closest to the real thing you can get. There is less in terms of the fabricator and a few other things I think. I hadn't used it in a while so I could be wrong. But its being updated very well by constant developers. A 1.12 is in the works.

I do respect people that use older versions or older mods though so if you ignore this post that's completely fine.

For a 1.7.10 spinoff idea is Hexcraft, but its not really the proper Xycraft people know and love.

I have seen a few like months ago but most of those iterations don't exist anymore on curse (still have the files of them on me though to be sure if they do or don't exist anymore).

While the Project X 2 mod hasn't updated since 2018 for 1.12.2 I'd say it's better than nothing for a Xycraft experience in later versions than Xycraft's actual death in 1.4.7 2012 or so I think that version was. Still Xycraft being played in 1.4.7 is still fun, dead due to lack of updates though, yeah it's sad to see.

Yeah. I loved ProjectX2 in the FTB Ultimate Reloaded pack but when I tried to make a pack with it in the block textures where awesome looking middle fingers, still not as awesome as the original textures. I left a comment on the curseforge page but still no response. I'm not sure what would cause that issue.

Not sure really, any other texture packs or Optifine or something like a conflict with other mods maybe... that would cause this since the original mod shouldn't do that to my knowledge but I have used it in a few months so I'm not sure.

Yeah, I recreated textures in a paint.net from a few screens that I found on his Twitter. Sadly, some screens are removed and I missed all the dev streams and they are deleted too, so it's impossible to collect more content until someone there watched all his dev streams and will tell me what is missing
