wait wait wait wait wait........you know how to implement mobs into minecraft .....o.o.... For the love of god tell me your at least good at it and your on the team!!!....we've been looking for a mob coder forever, even just here and there putting in one or two occasionally would rock, some of the models have many many moving parts, while others have very little, could you help us??? and i personally like to make the models myself, due to im very artistic, and i have a vision in my head of each mob, so its just easier for me to make them but we have some mob models and textures done, we just needed someone to put em in, could you do it :3 plz plz plz!?
Well I wouldnt say am great at it, but I can make you mobs, give them any form of AI already implemented in minecraft, and give them special effects (such as potion effects, riding other entities, or gaining armor or weapons, lighting on fire, flying, giving the player potion effects, switching dimensions, and more) that are triggered by almost any event in game(hit by lightning, goes in sunlight, gets attacked, whatever). I will try to the best of my abilities to help you guys, but my progress will be slow, as I am working on a bunch of mods at once

Wow, i haven't checked here for a while but suddenly the whole projects leapt onto the tracks! I'm looking forward to this, let me know if there's anything (Can't texture, model, or code) that i could do to help!
if you actually downgraded to play mythicraft back when then this vid should look very familiar it has some stuff from the old version, cant wait to get this all modernized, looking good, and ready to roll :)...

Alpha release is almost done!
Also neon please start making more block textures
Almost to that point.... Just a few more months
dude, r u kidding? that much didnt take us that long o.o i doubt a month, and i will make some textures for the blocks, i already have some in my dropbox i think for the Adamantine and Mythril ores, but im going to need the fans help makeing a list of new blocks and foods and plants we should add in, i was planning on adding like, 100~200 new plants you can use like in skyrim to make potions, every single one doing different things, or different strengths of certain effects. then we are re makeing the weapon and damage ystems, so health will be numbers, and damage will be numbers that will subtract from the total health of a mob, and like in that vid, the health bar will pop up above there heads when you look at them, just slightly different, when you look at a mob its name and level will apear above its head untill you look away (you have to put your curson on the mob itself like in the video) if you attack that mob, or that mob becomes hostile towards you, its health bar will appear below its name and level, also includeing a mana or armor bar depending on the mob itself, so a zombie wearing iron chestplate will have an armor bar (grey bar) below its health bar, while a wizard enemy like a witch will have a mana bar (blue bar) below its health, these health bars wont go away untill the mob is defeated, or it losses intrest in you, or you hide from it long enough. now to the weapon system, like i have said to you all many times (to you fox, and the many fans) we plan on re-vamping the weapon system, im guessing many of you like playing FPS, and know what the game(s) Borderlands are? the weapon system in that game seems very complex, but it is not, theres just many and/or/if types of code, makeing it so every weapon found in borderlands has almost compleatly randomized stats, depending on a multitude of things, such as your level the level of the enemy defeated that dropped it, the difficulty of the realm your in, your class, race, and much more, makeing all the stats of the weapons randomized means no one finds the same weapons (unless its a specific mission or story based weapon, but even then it might be basicly the same, the stats might change depending on your level, or the level of the mission. each weapon will have a few stats:
Attack:
AtkSpd (attack speed, the amount of time that must pass between attacks (even if your mashing the button)):
Range (depends on the weapon, swords have a range of maybe 2~3 blocks infront of you, a spear maybe 6~8 whilst bows have 150+):
Health:
Enchantments:
Critical (the damage doe on a crit. hit):
CritChance (the chance of a crit. happening on that weapon):
Type:
Rarity:
all of these stats will have randomized results, and once they are created there is very little you can do to improve them, unless your a high level blacksmith. just like in the games Borderands, there will also be Legendary weapons, infact weapons will have rarity, that is dependant on the weapons stats compared to your level and other things, rarity going like this, (these names do not stand for the weapons meterial it was made from, just the rarity of it, the name of the weapon will be the color of its rarity value)
Dirt >> Stone >> Copper >> Iron >>Silver >> Gold >> Diamond >> Emerald >> Mythril >> Adamantine
Every so often an enemy (unless its a boss or mission bases weapon, then it always will) will drop a weapon or armor, that weapon (right before being dropped) wil have its stats randomized deending on the prerequisites, so yes you could farm mobs, or bosses for there best Emerald Rarity weapons, as most bosses have a secret Emerald weapon based on them that drops very very very rarely. Armor will work the same way as weapons, each also haveing its own types and stats randomized, and also haveing Emerald rarity ones. what do you guys think about this??? anyone who wants to PRIVATE MESSAGE ME there Emerald Weapon ideas is free to do so, i will take most into acount, as long as they are balanced and powerful, and make sense for the storyline of the game, heck if you want to make up a mini boss or a quest for your weapon idea go ahead and tell me it, if we decide to use it or a variant of it, you will get credit for the idea hope you guys like this, i can't wait to see all of your weapon ideas, hell if you REEAALLY wanted you could even make your own textur for it if your a good enough artist (but just because you make one does not mean we will use it) thanks guys, we should be on tomarrow on the live stream working after about 3~4pm, right after everyone gets out of school come check us out, go to the front post and go to the "Live Streaming" spoiler link. have fun, cant wait to see those ideas, i know ill be up all night designing some laytaz!

hey neon, just checking the progress on the mod and how is your health going? ^^ i see you are soon finished FINALLY xD, but if i remember well you will add a lot of tamable animals and i was wondering if they would have different varieties which are gotten part from there biome and breeding and if you could actually sell them to people =3, i really wanted to make a griffin farm ad like selling them with the actuall currency of the mod. (in a server) THAT WOULD BE EPIC.
peace, hope to get some news of you ^^

yea man, there will be many many many tameable animals, and like in Mo' Creatures mod by DrZark they will have many many different types of each tameable mob, and each with its own properties and special traits. also, you will have to take care of your animal like in real life, providing it with ood (each one, depnding on its size) has a different amount of a certain type of food it needs each day, like a griffin might need 10 fish, while a dragon needs a whole cow or two they will also drop dung (poop) after eating, that acts like bonemeal, but you put it on the crop before planting, you put it on the tilled soil, and that plant you plant of that soil will grow faster, and produce more items when harvested. each animal will also have its own personality, there iwll be many mood types, and personality types, deciding how the creature acts to different things, so a clingy griffin might be super eeger to fallow you, even if you tell him to stay, you have to distract him by throwing fish and running, or cage him, clingy griffins will also try and fly to you even if you didnt call them, makeing them hard to cage as they normally find a way to get to you, whilst grumpy griffins might lie arround all day, and ignore you, not eating unless your not looking, staying away from you, or even attacking you a little if you him off to much, so you will have to be a very good tamer to be able to keep, and breed mobs. mobs will also have stats like players do, the best ones have the highest stats, one of the things i also wanted to do, was alow you to put markings on your griffin, like blue paint stripes, or a lightning bolt on the forehead, stuff like that, letting you personalize it, and most rideable mobs will have armor they can wear as well, and they will all have pros and cons, such as, sure a griffin can fly, but if you or it is in armor while it flies it fliies slower, and if you carry to much it wont be able to fly for very long, or you can have a giant Sabertooth tiger mount, that has way higher attack, and can lunge at enemies, but cant fly, and like the griffin, moves slower if you or it is in armor, and cant lunge if you carry to much. so yes, to answer your question you can tame, breed, and sell your own mounts and there will be in game currency, Copper, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Coins, each higher in value then the one before, like this:
100 Copper (cp) = 1 Silver(sp)
1,000 Copper(cp), or 100 Silver(sp) = 1 Gold(gp)
100,000 Copper (cp) or 1,000 Silver(sp) or 100 Gold(gp) = 1 Platinum (pp)
so a very wealthy player might have, 3,000pp, while a poor one would have 250cp ( 50cp & 2sp)
so depending on the strength, and type of each tameable mob, the price will vary greatly
which, reminds me, each city will have a player/NPC made economy, say you steal all the wheat crops right, well now the farmer cant sell his wheat to the baker, which in turn means no bread or cookies, or cakes, meaning now theres less food, meaning the city might go hungry, and people might die, not only that but those people lose money they could have made, and the prices due to the drop in food will go up, and people wont be able to afford it because you took there wheat, which they sold so they had money to get food, so you need to be careful about what you just take (or give, if you give a farmer 1,000gp, he might decide to move into a mansion and stop farming and live a life of luxury, but now there's one less person to farm foods, and the process go on) in a city that also means if you start farming, and sell your goods at the market, then bread and wheat prices might go down due to an over amount of food, bringing prosperity, but in turn you might drive the cities farmer out of business if yours are too cheap to compete with, many many many things effect prices and lively hood within a city, so you must be careful, and think fully about your actions before just takeing some wheat

ok, for your first question, its only for 1.2.7 atm, because i was in the hospital for 5 months, and my coders left thinking i died, so up untill a week ago i have had no one to help code the mod, as i am only an artist and no there is no currecy YET, but were adding that very soon

i love you so much xD, those are great things and i once proposed to you to add proffessions like jewel crafter and stuff like that, now i think a mount seller could be an epic profession too xD, like only mount sellers can tame some animals and some animals can only bred by mount sellers, you raise your profession experience by taking care of your animals and even more when you sell one. each profession guy should automatically get a scroll which tells him how much prof. xp he has, what he can make (or tame). so for instance you can only tame saber tooth tigers when you are an adept and can already breed them, but you can get only get shadow saber tooth at the next level and much later you can find items which can only be found by being a mount seller (the name is only a place holder) so what you think about the idea? (dont forget you can decide the price, but you'll get less xp from a mount you sell to a low price to compensate)oh and dont forget i donated xD ( I really want the epic dragon race) =3

Hey Neon! its me again and i just had a few more questions. first, where in the hell can i find a 1.2.7 jar? i have searched for the whole day and i havent found anything, any help would be great. and last question, are you thinking of adding theifs/robbers in to mythicraft or some kind of pickpocketing system?
Hey Neon! its me again and i just had a few more questions. first, where in the hell can i find a 1.2.7 jar? i have searched for the whole day and i havent found anything, any help would be great. and last question, are you thinking of adding theifs/robbers in to mythicraft or some kind of pickpocketing system?
answer to your first question, you might need to search "Minecraft Backdater" and if your willing to wait the version for 1.4.7 is comeing out very soon now, the answer to your second, yes, there will be a pickpocket system, on single player it will basicly pause the game and open the person or things inventory beside yours, if you mouse over an item in theres it will pop up a percent, that is the chance you have of actually taking that item from said thing, and if you mouse over one of your items, it will show another percent telling you your chance to place that item on said thing, things like smoke bombs, and splash potions will go off 5 seconds after being successfully placed on said thing. they will also have a money bag at the bottom, the bigger the money pouch the better, even though you cant see an exact amount. if you click there pouch button it will tr4y and steal money in an amount depending on your pickpocketing level, and every click lowers your chance of doing it successfully. and you must be careful, if you go to steal money from them, and you take more than they have, the chances of them catching you skyrocket...so its like gambling, you can try over and over to get the jackpot and take everything they own, but if you over shoot you lose and they attack you. and in multiplayer its much harder, as the game will not pause when you try to pickpocket, in fact it will work completely different, your pickpocket level will decide your chance to take a random item from there backpack, you will make a slight shuffling sound if your pickpocketing a player, letting them have a chance to hear you, the higher the skill, the quieter you pickpocket, and if the random generator picks an item and you dont succeed at takeing it then it pops up on the player your pickpocketing screen saying "SOMEONES PICKING YOUR POCKET!!!" giving them a chance to attack you, plus you dont get the item, so you have to pick your targets wisely, the more stuff they have the higher chances you can get something from them, but its randomly generated on what slot you grab from, and the higher the price of the item you try and take, the less chance you will suceed, so instead of going after a guy decked out in Adamantine weapons and Mythril armor, where each of his pieces of armor or weapons alone code 14,000pp, try and go after the guy who dosent look like he has much, make sure you pick targets that fit your pickpocketing level, or your going to be caught left and right red handed also, you can chose weather to steal a random item, or a random amount of there money when you go to pickpocket, the money will work like in singleplayer, but it will all be randomized so it takes half a second, not 5 minutes, basicly, in single player, its meant for you to choose and pick what you want to take, bit in multiplayer its streamlined to give you a better chance of getting away with it, in exchange for being able to pick what you take... so have fun pickpocketing!

just get a program called multi mc. it is a program that stores lots of minecrafts that dont connect to your normal minecraft. so you can install lots of mods but keep them in another minecraft.
If anyone can help me with this problem, when I create a new world on Mythicraft, it works for about 1/2 a second and then the screen goes partially blue and it says saving chunks. Any ideas? Did the fact that I installed forge AFTER the mod have any effect?
Neon, quick question, will gramantine be nerfed a bit? Infinite durability and taking almost no damage seem a bit OP even for such a rare set of armor. Also, will the added anvil replace the current one? Also I recommend completely changing the health system/ GUI make health more like the EXP bar, so you can get more health as you level up, and the number displays your current health. Also, I'm not really happy with vanilla armor mechanics, armor should have a chance of deducing or nullifying damage depending on the rank. If you found any of these ideas helpful, please let me know.

which, reminds me, each city will have a player/NPC made economy, say you steal all the wheat crops right, well now the farmer cant sell his wheat to the baker, which in turn means no bread or cookies, or cakes, meaning now theres less food, meaning the city might go hungry, and people might die, not only that but those people lose money they could have made, and the prices due to the drop in food will go up, and people wont be able to afford it because you took there wheat, which they sold so they had money to get food, so you need to be careful about what you just take (or give, if you give a farmer 1,000gp, he might decide to move into a mansion and stop farming and live a life of luxury, but now there's one less person to farm foods, and the process go on) in a city that also means if you start farming, and sell your goods at the market, then bread and wheat prices might go down due to an over amount of food, bringing prosperity, but in turn you might drive the cities farmer out of business if yours are too cheap to compete with, many many many things effect prices and lively hood within a city, so you must be careful, and think fully about your actions before just takeing some wheat
ok, for your first question, its only for 1.2.7 atm, because i was in the hospital for 5 months, and my coders left thinking i died, so up untill a week ago i have had no one to help code the mod, as i am only an artist and no there is no currecy YET, but were adding that very soon
answer to your first question, you might need to search "Minecraft Backdater" and if your willing to wait the version for 1.4.7 is comeing out very soon now, the answer to your second, yes, there will be a pickpocket system, on single player it will basicly pause the game and open the person or things inventory beside yours, if you mouse over an item in theres it will pop up a percent, that is the chance you have of actually taking that item from said thing, and if you mouse over one of your items, it will show another percent telling you your chance to place that item on said thing, things like smoke bombs, and splash potions will go off 5 seconds after being successfully placed on said thing. they will also have a money bag at the bottom, the bigger the money pouch the better, even though you cant see an exact amount. if you click there pouch button it will tr4y and steal money in an amount depending on your pickpocketing level, and every click lowers your chance of doing it successfully. and you must be careful, if you go to steal money from them, and you take more than they have, the chances of them catching you skyrocket...so its like gambling, you can try over and over to get the jackpot and take everything they own, but if you over shoot you lose and they attack you. and in multiplayer its much harder, as the game will not pause when you try to pickpocket, in fact it will work completely different, your pickpocket level will decide your chance to take a random item from there backpack, you will make a slight shuffling sound if your pickpocketing a player, letting them have a chance to hear you, the higher the skill, the quieter you pickpocket, and if the random generator picks an item and you dont succeed at takeing it then it pops up on the player your pickpocketing screen saying "SOMEONES PICKING YOUR POCKET!!!" giving them a chance to attack you, plus you dont get the item, so you have to pick your targets wisely, the more stuff they have the higher chances you can get something from them, but its randomly generated on what slot you grab from, and the higher the price of the item you try and take, the less chance you will suceed, so instead of going after a guy decked out in Adamantine weapons and Mythril armor, where each of his pieces of armor or weapons alone code 14,000pp, try and go after the guy who dosent look like he has much, make sure you pick targets that fit your pickpocketing level, or your going to be caught left and right red handed also, you can chose weather to steal a random item, or a random amount of there money when you go to pickpocket, the money will work like in singleplayer, but it will all be randomized so it takes half a second, not 5 minutes, basicly, in single player, its meant for you to choose and pick what you want to take, bit in multiplayer its streamlined to give you a better chance of getting away with it, in exchange for being able to pick what you take... so have fun pickpocketing!
