Hm.. I'm noticing that when I add new textures in the most recent update, they don't show up on any of the horses (this has been tested extensively in a world that is now suffering from a horse plague). Would this be because of the new randomizing system? Not a huge priority or anything, obviously, but I do really enjoy making new textures and I'd like to know if it's just my system being a derp...
OK, I seem to have found the issue. I ran the FML jar in the directory with the minecraft_server jar, and it now allows me to spawn the items from the Simply Horse mod...!!
One line I see in the FML log file is when it launches minecraft_server.jar, and to run with more memory:
2013-06-18 15:13:34 [WARNING] [Minecraft-Server] To start the server with more ram, launch it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar"
The old start.command for the original minecraft_server specified a "exec java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui" line to increase the startup memory allocation. Is there a way to provide this increase in RAM when launching from the FML jar file...? I hope that this makes sense.
Thanks!
Addabob...
I also run on a mac. To start the server with a gigabyte of RAM, follow these steps:
1.Open textedit.
2.Press Shift+Cmd+T.
3.Copy (ctrl+c) and paste (ctrl+v) this in:
#!/bin/bash
cd "$(dirname "$0")"
exec java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar minecraft_server.jar
4.Save as "start.command".
5.Place in server folder.
6.Open terminal.
7.Type in chmod a+x (one space after it) and drag in start.command. Press enter.
8.It should launch the server with 1 GB of RAM. You can edit it and make it run with more gigabytes by editing start.command and changing 1G into something like 2G or more.
Hope it helped!
EDIT: Oop, sorry, I got what u meant now I don't think I can help...
How, exactly do I hook up my Clydesdales to a vardo?
I lassoed them together and created an x between them. Nothing happens, they are just lassoed together. I lasso the cart and then try to lasso it to the horses... and nothing. I spawned two new Clydesdale horses and *made sure* that they were harnessed and repeated the process. Nothing happened.
What's a whippletree? How do I get one? Is it craftable? Is this feature just not yet implemented?
What's a train hook? The instructions on the first page say to use it, but I see nothing in the creative inventory called a train hook.
I probably sound like an idiot. But I'm having a real heck of a time trying to get this to work.

same problem here.
1.5.2 client + forge universal 7.8.1.738 + lots of another mods
You can edit the defaultspawn config yml to setup what mobs you want to spawn where and at what rates to the different biomes. I have used it with extrabiomesXL which is similar to PoB so should work.
I want you to add:
Tack:
Leather Western Saddle
Black Plastic Western Saddle
Red Bridle
Tan Bridle
Hackamore
Black Plastic Stirrups
Wooden Stirrups
White Saddle Pad
Rug Saddle Pad
Breeds:
Quarter Horse
AI:
Breed Specific Horse Specs
Tack Durability
Training
Spec Changing Tack

That's kinda demanding, don't you think, and a lot of that stuff is useless, why do you need different types of saddles, bridles, and stirrups, the only real purpose of the mod is to have horses, there aren't even types of riding(English, western, etc.) also, we don't even know if she is going to update the mod, so just wait....!!!

I WANT THIS MOD TO BE MORE RAELISTIC! (For MC 1.5.2).
FYI: There are 2 types of ENGLISH: Dressage AND Hunting!
w=w I love this mod to pieces but when I try to attack the Clydesdales "{while they are wearing the harnesses} to the wagon it doesn't work. I read a bit more about it and im using the lasso, in which I click the cart and then the horse but as soon as I do that the lead attaches and turned black for a second, then disappears. Is it a glitch?
(I love this mod!! I have been playing from, I dunno, 1.2.5! I just love to build horse stables :3)
Keep up the good work!

Ugly how?
just a thought...

Super late reply but, oh well XD, A way around I use on our server is something like Mob Spawn Controls Mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1553186-162forgemodloader-mob-spawn-controls-control-spawning-increase-spawncaps-spawn-attempts-mocreaturesextrabiomes-support-updated/

btw, you really should add donkeys. You could use them to turn millstones and grind wheat into flour which can make weird bread-based things.
Thanks!
