If you are on your horse and hit it with a weapon, it takes damage.
If you hit it with a weapon from "Balkon's Weapon Mod" either the game causes the game to lose all input, other than looking around, or it just locks up the client.
Okay... so I started this because I'm partial to champagne and palomino arabians, and, after some research was happy to discover that they and a bunch of other unusual colours were actually considered acceptable and even desirable in purebreds. So I made some, because I really wanted some. XD I also made a bunch of gypsy vanner textures for the clydesdales (If it ends up interfering with future plans for the mod I can exclude these) and painted the vardo red.
Only by colour breeders (i.e. people who care more about colour than conformation, bloodlines, performance, etc.) - of course, not as big a deal in Minecraft as it is IRL It's looking really good!
Avii, I just came back here after a few months' break from mods other than FTB, and damn! You've done a lot of work. I love it. Even the thread looks great - very professional! Can't wait to get this re-installed and try it all out. Keep up the awesome work. I love this so much.
Excellent work indeed. I have a question, though. I have the Universal Forge installed, but when I try to run the MCPatcher to get the alternate horse colors, I get told that the Forge's files are no good and the Patcher removes them and subsequentially the mod. What's going on with this and how can I fix it?
Alright...I'm new to downloading mods and other things like that, but when I downloaded this and tried playing it. I couldn't find any horses and when I tried making the horse spawner or lasso or everything else that involved this mod it didn't work. If I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure I did something wrong. Please can someone help me fix my mistake? I would be very very very very grateful.
Hey bloodrose, it sounds like Simply Horses isn't running at all huh. Try making sure you followed the instructions. Basically, unzipping forge and putting the files into your minecraft.jar, then putting the (still zipped up) simply horses file into your 'mods' folder.
So far I never had a real bad jerkiness but it depends on ur speed and what terrain u are on but overall I don't see much jerkiness are falt land on a moderate speed

Pie is a lie and not the cake for pie is evil it even spells it see Pie Is Evil
mcedit will not change the seed, but as far as he needs to know, the landscape wont appear the same (I am assuming from what you say, SJS)
Oh yeah, I meant that Thanks. I just basically found a plains biome. I wasn't very picky on what seed it was. I just didn't want to always play on superflat, but I needed a flat area.
think you should change the controls back to how they used to be, with the new point to move controls its really hard to fight when im on my war horse becuase when i try yo attack the enimies my horse he just runs in circles just a suggesiton of course
Hi! So I got the mod, and LOVE IT. A few issues, though probably my cruddy laptop. Mostly, not sure if whippletree is not working for me or what but when I attach the Clydesdales to the carts they just stand in a line with the black strings everywhere. I've tried crossing the strings myself but I'm not sure. Also would love a server IP of an active server to play with others
I downloaded the mod but when I go to the mod option and click on simply horses, it says "no mod information found - Ask your author to provide a mod mcmod.info file.. I'm really not good with computers. help?
She might add the hay in the complexity horses mod (is that the right name?)

I actually can't do that, because I built it myself (with a little help from MC edit) :/

Lovin' the mod Avii!
OPTIFINE.
Don't cross the strings on the whippletree!
eehehehe.
1- harness both horses
2- Lasso each to the other (cross the ropes)
3- Lasso the cart to the whippletree.
4- Zoom.
